WHAT A TWIST!

Chapter 97: Chapter 97;WEBS OF SECRET

Chapter 97

The guy hesitated, his eyes darting around nervously as he refused to talk. Hyun Min's expression darkened, his eyes flashing with a cold, calculated anger. Without warning, he grabbed the guy's hair tightly, his grip like a vice. The students gasped in shock, their eyes wide with surprise.

The guy's eyes widened in pain and fear as Hyun Min's grip tightened. "Okay, okay," he stammered, his voice shaking. "I'll tell you."

Hyun Min's eyes seemed to bore into his soul, as if daring him to lie. "My boss isn't a student in the school," the guy said, his voice barely above a whisper. "He's...he's someone from the outside."

Hyun Min's gaze intensified, his eyes narrowing. "Where can I find him?" he demanded.

The guy hesitated, his eyes darting around nervously. "We meet at an underground place," he said finally. "It's a club...a place where people like us go to hang out."

Hyun Min's grip on the guy's hair tightened, his fingers digging deep into his scalp. "Tell me the name of the place," he growled.

The guy winced in pain, his eyes welling up with tears. "It's...it's called the Red Room," he stammered.

Hyun Min's eyes flashed with anger, his face twisted in disgust. He stood up, releasing the guy's hair. "Tell him to expect me," he said, his voice low and menacing. "And also the one who did the hitting!"

With that, he glanced at Sarah and turned, walking away from the scene. The students parted, their eyes fixed on Hyun Min's retreating figure. The guy watched him go, his eyes filled with fear and uncertainty.

I stood frozen, my mind reeling from the aftermath of the confrontation. Hyun Min's sudden departure left me feeling both relieved and perplexed. He hadn't even bothered to ask if I was okay, if the guy's attack had left me shaken. The crowd around us seemed to fade into the background as I struggled to process the whirlwind of emotions swirling inside me.

Taking a deep breath, I attempted to calm my racing heart. Perhaps it was the presence of the onlookers that had prompted Hyun Min's hasty exit. I pushed the thought aside, my concern for Racy taking precedence.

I pulled out my phone, my fingers instinctively dialing her number. The phone rang several times before she finally answered, her voice husky and distant. "Racy, were you sleeping?" I asked, trying to inject a note of levity into my tone.

There was a pause, followed by a heavy sigh. "I'm in your room," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.

Before I could pressed her for more information, the line went dead. I stared at my phone, confusion etched on my face. What had just happened?

Why was she in my room?

I bursted into my room, the dim light of the room filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow on Racy's peaceful face as she slept sprawled across my bed. I stood frozen for a moment, my eyes narrowing as I took in the scene. What was she doing here? My footsteps echoed softly on the floor as I approached her, and I gently tapped her shoulder. "Rise and shine," I said, my voice low but insistent.

Racy stirred, her eyes fluttering open like petals of a flower. "Can't you see I'm trying to sleep off the apocalypse?" she murmured, her voice husky with sleep, her words slurred. I raised an eyebrow, a mixture of amusement and irritation swirling within me. "What are you doing in my room, Racy?" I asked, my tone firm but laced with curiosity.

Racy sat up slowly, rubbing the sleep from her eyes like a child waking from a nightmare. "Thanks to you..for not waking me up, I was chased out of class like a rabid animal," she said, her voice laced with sarcasm and accusation. "I'm pretty sure the professor thought I was plotting world domination or something." Her words trailed off, leaving me wondering what had transpired. I leaned against the bedpost, my arms crossed. "Well don't make me a villian here!"

Racy yawned, her voice husky with exhaustion. "I want to sleep some more," she mumbled.

I shook my head and headed to.the bathroom.

The three guys burst into the dimly lit room, the air thick with the scent of smoke and secrets. Their boss, a student from a rival school, sat on a worn couch, flanked by two girls who quickly scrambled to their feet and slipped out of the room at his nod. He leaned back, steepling his fingers as he regarded the trio.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" he drawled, his voice low and even. "I take it there's a good reason for this...interruption?" His gaze narrowed, eyes piercing through the gloom.

One of the guys stepped forward, his voice hesitant. "There's a guy who's looking for you, boss. He's fuming,Said he's coming for you."

The boss's eyebrow arched upward, a mixture of curiosity and amusement dancing on his face. "Ah, I see. And who might this...avenger be?" He leaned forward, his eyes glinting with interest.

The guy hesitated before responding, "We don't know, boss. But he seemed pretty serious. Said he'd make us pay for what happened."

The boss chuckled, a low, menacing sound. "Well, I suppose I'm in for it, then." He leaned back in his chair, a calculating glint in his eye. "Tell me, boys...what makes you think this guy's going to be a problem?"

One of the guys shifted uncomfortably, his eyes darting between the boss and the floor.

"It's just that...he seemed different, boss. He's not like the others we've dealt with. He's got this...intensity about him."

The boss raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"Intensity, you say? That's an interesting choice of words. What makes you think he's intense?"

The guy hesitated before speaking up.

"He just...he had this look in his eyes, boss. A look that said he won't stop until he gets what he wants."

The boss leaned forward, his eyes locked onto the guy's.

"And what exactly does he want?"

The guy swallowed hard before responding.

"The girl,we held down yesterday, the one you said we should look for today,is somehow connected to him, boss."

The boss's expression turned thoughtful, his eyes narrowing as he steepled his fingers again.

"I see. Well, let's prepare for our guest, shall we?"
