WHAT A TWIST!

Chapter 96: Chapter 96;UNRAVELING

Chapter 96

As soon as the class emptied, I dashed out, my heart racing to catch up with racy. We were supposed to rendezvous after class, but I had wasted precious minutes frantically searching for my keys, before i remembered that it was with her.

I was about to call her when three guys blocked my path. My heart sank as I recognized them - the same guys who had attacked Racy and me just a day or two ago.

Panic set in, and I froze, unsure of what to do. The students around us began to gather, stopping to stare at the scene unfolding before them. Some looked concerned, while others seemed to be enjoying the drama.

One of the guys sneered at me, and I felt a surge of fear. I glanced around, hoping to spot Racy or someone I knew who could help. But the crowd seemed more interested in witnessing the confrontation than intervening.

The air was thick with tension as the guys took a step closer, their eyes locked on me. I stood my ground, trying to appear braver than I felt.

The air seemed to congeal as one of them stepped forward, his eyes piercing mine with an intensity that sent shivers down my spine. "You think you can just flee the scene?" he sneered, his voice dripping with venom like a festering wound. "You think we've forgotten?" The words hung in the air, heavy with menace and foreboding. His gaze swept the area around me, searching for someone with an air of calculated interest. "And where's your accomplice?" he asked, his tone laced with mock solicitude. "She's not here to bail you out now. Well, she's not our concern... yet." The way he lingered on the last word sent a chill coursing through my veins.

I scanned the crowd, my heart racing with desperation as I searched for a friendly face. The faces blurred together, a mixture of fear, fascination, and morbid curiosity etched on their features.

The guy's eyes snapped back to me, his expression a mask of cold calculation. "You're isolated now," he said, his voice low and menacing, like a whispered promise of retribution. "And you're going to pay for what happened." The words seemed to seep into my pores, filling me with a sense of impending doom, then I decided to braven up..

My eyes blazed with fury as I confronted the group. "Your friend started it first, and now you're all ganging up on me? Who do you think you are, some kind of vigilantes?" I demanded, my voice escalating into a fierce yell. "Do you think you can just bully me and get away with it? Do you think I'm some kind of punching bag for your ego?" My anger was palpable, and for a moment, it seemed to hold the attackers at bay.

But one of them, fueled by arrogance or stupidity, raised his hand to strike me. I flinched, bracing myself for the impact. Yet, before his hand could make contact, someone swooped in, grabbing his collar and yanking him backward. I spun around, my eyes wide with surprise, and that's when I saw him – Hyun Min.

With a fluid motion, Hyun Min spun the attacker around and delivered a swift, precise punch to his stomach. The attacker doubled over, gasping for air as he stumbled backward, falling to the ground.

The other two exchanged uncertain glances, clearly caught off guard by the sudden turn of events.

The attacker, was still cltutching his stomach, his face twisted in pain. I stood there, frozen in shock, my mind reeling from what I had just witnessed. I had never seen Hyun Min throw a punch before, and the ferocity with which he had done so left me stunned.

As I watched, I caught sight of the blonde girl out of the corner of my eye. I thought she was still at the hospital, but here she was, standing a short distance away, her eyes fixed intently on Hyun Min. It was as if she was following him, or perhaps she had just happened to pass by. Whatever the reason, I couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy at the sight of her watching him with such intensity.

Hyun Min,walked slowly towards the attacker, his hands tucked into his pockets. He bent down, his movements deliberate and controlled, until he was at the attacker's level. The attacker, still wincing in pain, looked up at Hyun Min with a mixture of fear and anger.

Hyun Min's eyes locked onto the attacker's, and he reached out to grasp his chin, holding it firmly in place. "So, it was you, right?" he said, his voice low and even. The words hung in the air, heavy with menace. The crowd of students that had gathered to watch the scene unfold seemed to hold its collective breath, sensing that the confrontation was far from over. There were no teachers in sight, and Hyun Min's words seemed to carry an unspoken threat.

The guy's expression morphed from pain to utter astonishment, and he vehemently shook his head. "I have no idea what you're insinuating," he said, attempting to feign ignorance with a straight face. Hyun Min's eyes narrowed into piercing slits, and he leaned in closer, his voice taking on a menacing tone. "Don't try to play the fool with me," he growled. "You're well aware of what I'm referring to."

The guy's denials continued, laced with false conviction. "I swear on everything, I have no clue what you're talking about," he repeated. However, Hyun Min's patience was wearing perilously thin. "Alright, let's cut the charade," he said. "You claim to be oblivious. Did you lay a hand on her or not..?"

The guy hesitated, his eyes darting around before responding. "I didn't touch her, I swear on my life," he said, trying to sound convincing. Hyun Min's gaze seemed to penetrate his very soul, as if searching for the truth. "Alright, let's refresh your memory, then," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Hyun Min's hand moved, and the guy's eyes widened in abject fear. "Oh, I recall now," he said hastily, his words tumbling out in a rush. "It wasn't me who hit her. It was one of my other friend."

Hyun Min's expression remained unreadable, a mask of calmness. "So, this isn't the entirety of your crew," he said, his voice low and menacing. "You still have others backing you up..who exactly hit her then?"

The guy glanced around nervously, his eyes darting towards the crowd before focusing on Hyun Min. Hyun Min leaned in closer, his voice barely above a whisper, yet carrying an unmistakable threat. "Tell me," he commanded.

The guy hesitated before speaking, his voice barely above a whisper. "Actually, it was one of my friends," he said, glancing nervously at Hyun Min. "He was furious because...because she rejected him when he asked her out." Hyun Min's expression darkened, his eyes flashing with anger. "And?"

"He reported to our boss."

Hyun min had anger written all over his face."so what did your boss do?"

The guy hesitated, clearly uncomfortable with sharing the details. But Hyun Min's intense gaze seemed to bore into his soul, making it hard for him to keep quiet. The students surrounding them were silent, their eyes fixed on the scene unfolding before them. Although they couldn't hear the conversation clearly, they sensed the tension in the air.

The guy's voice was barely audible as he continued. "My boss said he shouldn't worry, that he'd take care of it. He said he'd teach her a lesson for rejecting him." Hyun Min's eyes narrowed, his face twisted in disgust.

The guy continued, his eyes darting around nervously "she was with her friend, and she ran away." Hyun Min's gaze locked onto the guy's face, his eyes blazing with fury.

"My boss was restraining her,and that was when she got strucked." The guy said,he was already sweating all over.

Hyun Min's face turned serious, his eyes flashing with a cold, calculated anger. "Who the hell is your boss?" he demanded, his voice low and menacing. "I want to meet him."
