The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system

Zhang Caishen had been working all morning, approving building plans, budgets and handling a last minute audit which his grandfather asked for. His mind had been so engaged and busy that it didn't hit him until when it was coming to lunch that he had not heard from his wife all day. Now that was more than abnormal, she liked to keep him updated on all aspects of her day.

So, he decided to call her first, because he was worried. Three times he called and he didn't get an answer. This made him more apprehensive.

He called her office at the school and her personal assistant answered, informing him that she was not in and she had not come in all morning and her classes were cancelled for the day.

Puzzled, he put his phone and looked at Biming and asked. "Hey, Gu Biming, have you heard from my wife today?"

Biming's head tilted like that of a confused dog. "Eh."

"My wife, have you heard from her today?" He put down the papers in his hands and gave all of his attention to his P.A.

Biming dropped the documents in his hands and then flexed his hands. Sometimes, when Caishen talked to him, he wondered if he was being tested. The way he phrased that question always put him on edge.

"CEO, why would I hear rom your wife?"

"You update her on all my movements, particularly the things which worry you. I haven't eaten today. Are you telling me that you haven't informed her?" He stared at Biming, the depths of his eyes heavy with curiosity.

Biming bit his lower lip and Caishen smiled.

"Busted." Caishen said.

Biming blinked and shook his head. "CEO, I also haven't eaten today. I have faithfully accompanied you to work by your side all since morning. Believe me, I haven't spoken to your wife today. But if you need to track her down, ask Mo Sen."

He had sent a text but it was still unanswered so technically, he had not heard from her today.

"Ask him." he replied.

Biming sighed and stood up. As expected, he would have to do the leg work. He made the call and spoke briefly. Then, he turned around and told Caishen, "CEO, according to Bi Cang, the young madam checked into a hotel in the morning because she wasn't feeling fine and she has not yet checked out."

Sick and she was not answering calls. Those two words in the same sentence did not draw a positive image. "Call him, tell him to send a team of doctor's to meet us at the hotel right now."

Biming looked at the work they had to do and he sighed. It would have to wait. He followed behind Caishen who was already leaving the office.

Thirty five minutes later, a nervous hotel general manager opened the door to the suite which Alix was using. Technically, what he was being forced to do was not something their hotel condoned. However, he had received a call from the president of the hotel who ordered him to offer all the necessary help to CEO Zhang personally.

The genera manager planned to apologize to the guest for any misunderstandings that might arise from this rude and unexpected entry into the room. He followed behind the two doctors and one nurse but Mo Sen caught him by the back of his coat.

"That's as far as you go." he was told.

Mo Sen shut the door and he and three bodyguards stood outside forming a line of defense that nobody could penetrate, least of all a general manager with zero fighting skills.

Inside the room, one of the doctors, the female one approached Alix at Caishen's order. The male doctor, that happened to be Rongyan was held back by Caishen. His friend would not be examining his wife in any way.

Alix was sleeping inside the bed, and she had tucked herself in. An open laptop was laying on the corner of the bed, two open eaten empty snack packets had been dropped on the floor and a half drunk juice bottle was sitting on the bedside table.

Caishen wasn't sure if his eyes were deceiving him but he easily counted thirty bars of gold, also sitting on the bedside table.

The female doctor lifted the bed cover and Caishen yelled, "Stop." He turned his wheelchair around and glared at Biming and Rongyan. "You two out, now."

"But I am a doctor." Rongyan replied.

"Yes, doctor Rongyan, get out." Caishen replied.

Rongyan pointed to himself in disbelief and he said with an emphasis, "I am a doctor of female reproductive health."

Caishen nodded and said, "Yes, I have acknowledged your profession, now, get out."

Rongyan sighed and shook his head. As he left, he mumbled a few complaints. "He has no regard for professionalism at all. What does he think I am going to do?"

He had been told that he should come because she was urgently sick and now, he couldn't even examine her arm. His friend was totally the type to ask for only female doctors when his wife was going to give birth.

Biming couldn't say a thing. He was not a doctor, he was just a friend and employee so he didn't have any good reason to stay in the room.

Meanwhile, Alix had been awakened by the noise made when Caishen was ordering Rongyan to get out. Her very first instinct had been to fold her fist and punch the intruders.

Even her eyes darted to the gold first before she noticed Caishen and the female doctor and the nurse.

"Hubby." she said in surprise. "What are you doing here?" She flipped the white duvet which was covering the bed back and then felt a little cold.

She mad a hissing sound and rubbed her arms.

"Cover yourself." he urged her in a commanding voice. He even took off his coat and thrust it at her. "Put this on. Why didn't call me if you were feeling ill? I have been so worried about you because I thought something serious had happened to you? Is it the Tai's? Did they do something to make you ill?"

She tilted her head and smiled. Even though he sounded angry, he also seemed to be worried about her. That, she liked very much. However, she didn't know why he was there in her room or why a female doctor had accompanied him.

She could only guess that Bi Cang or uncle Ju had mentioned something. They were the two she had used the feeling ill excuse on.

"I am fine.." she started to say.

Caishen wouldn't hear it and he gestured at the female doctor. "You can start your examination."

Before the doctor could touch her, she scooted away and moved to the middle of the bed. "Hubby, I have cramps. I don't need to be examined." She looked at the doctor and smiled, then said politely. "Thank you for coming but everything is fine. You can all go now."

Instead of responding to her, the doctor turned to Caishen. If he said no, she couldn't leave.
