The Strongest Brain in the Interstellar

Chapter 127 - Report First

Jiang Hui felt that since she started experiencing palpitations, she had fainted a bit too often, but she had never passed out in such a bizarre manner.

Even in her dreams, she could feel a surge of anger boiling in her chest, while the surrounding environment was filled with a buzzing sound, with many people talking. The bright light shining on her tightly shut eyelids made her sensitive eyeballs ache.

“Still not awake?”

“Quick, go get Chief Therapist Lu from the medical office.”

“Come on, help me support her; her internal injuries make it worse when she lies down.”

“Where’s Instructor Stark? Has he returned?”

“He’s already back at school and is on his way over—”

Jiang Hui felt someone prying her mouth open, and a cool liquid was poured into her stomach, which relieved some of her weakness and restlessness. However, the chaotic energy inside her didn’t settle down so easily.

She heard a familiar voice softly calling her by her ear, gradually regaining her consciousness.

Jiang Hui opened her eyes, and what came into view was a room that resembled a conference room, looking somewhat familiar.

She had just woken up, and her mind felt like a muddled mess. The anxious energy within her showed no signs of dissipating, leaving her in a dazed state with a buzzing head, making it hard to see clearly.

After a long while, the view before her was still blurry, and it seemed there were many people around, chattering away, though she couldn’t make out what they were saying.

Behind her was someone supporting her, their grip steady and their breath calm, providing a strong sense of reassurance.

“Jiang, student… Jiang, student, Jiang Hui!” Someone was calling her name.

Jiang Hui struggled to open her eyes, trying to see who was calling her.

“Is she out of her mind? I don’t think we’ll get any answers tonight. We might as well send them back; this isn’t going to work,” someone said, seemingly trying to convince a stubborn group.

Then there was another round of chaotic voices. Jiang Hui couldn’t tell what they were arguing about, and it made her increasingly annoyed. Didn’t these people find it bothersome themselves?

“Awake? Awake.” Someone gently patted her face, as if checking her forehead for temperature.

Strangely, while the earlier commotion hadn’t managed to wake her, the cold touch of the palm suddenly cleared her thoughts, and she came to.

The first thing that came into view was Principal Jason’s face, and beside him was Teacher Duan, someone she had met before.

Unlike their first meeting, the other person now wore a serious expression, but when he looked at her again, his gaze softened slightly. He examined Jiang Hui for a moment, seemingly assessing something, and then smiled gently, saying, “Jiang, student, we meet again.”

Goddammit, here we go again.

Jiang Hui thought her expression must be one of indescribable disbelief. To be honest, she really didn’t want to meet the principal under these circumstances. After all this commotion, even in her dazed state, she was now fully awake. In the brief moments after waking up, Jiang Hui had already sorted out everything that had happened before she fainted and quickly analyzed the current situation.

“Do you remember? The events before you lost consciousness.”
“I remember.” Jiang Hui replied in a surprisingly calm manner.

What she remembered was that she was running perfectly fine on the training ground when an unknown person suddenly ambushed her, kicking her in the inner thigh twice, which prompted her to retaliate and give the person a good beating.

Ah… it was actually quite satisfying. As someone who had always been a good student on Blue Star, Jiang Hui never imagined that hitting someone could feel this way. While the act itself might not be inherently joyful, just the thought that she was getting revenge made that satisfaction shoot up.

But she was also quite unhappy now, as she regretted not throwing in a few more punches while she was still awake, just to ensure the ambusher understood the consequences of their actions.

“Although I’d prefer not to trouble someone in your condition, there are some things that Jiang Hui may need to explain. Otherwise, when you next see the principal, I might have to step down.” The other person said, half-jokingly, with a hint of self-deprecation in their tone.

So serious?! Jiang Hui turned her head slightly and discovered that the person supporting her was Tang Stark, which gave her a bit of reassurance.

From the current situation and the chaotic state of her mental energy, it seemed she hadn’t been unconscious for long. Under normal circumstances, she should be resting in the infirmary or even a hospital; instead, she was here, surrounded by a room full of familiar and unfamiliar faces. There must be something going on.

As for what that was, Jiang Hui’s gaze naturally fell on the person lying on the sofa opposite her.

No, just seeing that bastard made it hard for her to control herself.

Even though she hadn’t clearly seen who had ambushed her in the darkness, she could now identify him just by looking at his legs and face.

Looking at the broken leg wrapped in layers of bandages and the face that looked like it had been beaten to a pulp, Jiang Hui was sure that this bastard was the one who had attacked her. How dare he show up—

She glanced at the middle-aged man in civilian clothes standing next to him, whose expression clearly showed he was extremely distressed over the person on the sofa. He must be the assailant’s parent.

Besides the people mentioned earlier, the medical practitioner Lu Jin, there was also another man in military uniform in the room. He was very tall, looked quite imposing, and wore a uniform similar to Instructor Stark’s, seemingly with the same rank, but he looked unfamiliar. He stood on the other side.

There were quite a few people present, including both parties involved, relevant third parties, and intermediaries… It looked like a difficult “battle” was about to unfold.

But Jiang Hui didn’t feel an ounce of fear. After thinking for a moment, she believed that a tooth for a tooth was already letting that jerk off easy. She was eager to see which scoundrel would take pleasure in kicking someone for no reason and resort to such a despicable sneak attack.

“Did you beat my son to this extent?” The middle-aged man had evidently been holding back for a long time. Now that Jiang Hui, the person involved, had finally woken up, he couldn’t wait to interrogate her. His tone was very hostile, clearly convinced that she was the culprit; however…

—It was indeed her who had done the beating. But he had completely misunderstood the situation.

“It was me who did it, no doubt about that,” Jiang Hui gritted her teeth and said. “I beat him. If I hadn’t lost consciousness so quickly, I might have broken his other leg too.”

The man seemed to have seized on her confession and didn’t bother to argue further with Jiang Hui. He immediately turned to the principal standing beside him and said, “Mr. Principal, look! This student admits that she is the one who has beaten my son to this state. And her attitude is so arrogant? Look at the students in your school. If they are all this undisciplined and vicious, how can I feel secure sending my child to your school for education? You need to give us an explanation for this matter.”
