The Strongest Brain in the Interstellar

Chapter 126 - An Eye for an Eye

Jiang Hui was in a terrible state; her head was buzzing, and her internal organs felt like they had shifted position. After the sudden burst of energy, she was already at her limit.

Yet, the person who had inexplicably attacked her was still not subdued. Clearly, the assailant had more vigor and stamina than she did, and he was taller and stronger.

With her grip on his ankle, Jiang Hui could accurately determine that he was quite a tall person.

The assailant hadn’t expected Jiang Hui to have the energy and reflexes to fight back. But this attack clearly hadn’t knocked sense into him; he instinctively began to struggle.

Jiang Hui didn’t know whether to be relieved that she hadn’t committed a lethal offense in her uncontrolled state or to be furious that she hadn’t annihilated this sneak attacker. She really didn’t want to use such harsh language, but someone who resorted to such cowardly tactics deserved to be called that.

Before he could kick her hand away, Jiang Hui gritted her teeth against the intense pain and the disorienting sensation swirling around her. She forcefully yanked his ankle upward.

Of course, this resulted in a more vigorous struggle from him, as Jiang Hui’s action caused him to lose his balance. Naturally, he instinctively sought a point of support to break free from her grip and regain the upper hand.

Although her vision was hazy and blurred with indistinct shadows, Jiang Hui was still sharp enough to immediately determine that her assailant was attempting to roll over in mid-air. If he managed to get both hands on the ground, he could potentially kick her over with the right angle.

Of course, Jiang Hui wouldn’t be foolish enough to stand there and become his target. She didn’t expect her small arms to lift him completely off the ground; the reason she was exerting herself to maintain this position was to temporarily control his movements. Only then could she free her hands to do something else.

Fortunately, she was lazy—too lazy to even put the medication into her space pocket. So now it was convenient for her; she simply reached into her pocket and pulled out the small vial containing the medication. Biting down on the cork, she popped it out with a sharp “click” and tipped the entire tube into her mouth.

The potent supplement worked wonders; it acted immediately. Jiang Hui felt waves of warmth flowing down her throat and into her stomach, spreading to her limbs like a charging battery. Her hands and feet regained strength in an instant.

However, the return of her stamina also heightened her overall senses. The dulled five senses, which had been sluggish due to her fatigue, suddenly surged back. Pain arrived as expected, escalating in intensity; it became increasingly agonizing, with her internal organs feeling as if they were on fire. Jiang Hui had never experienced such pain before. Had this guy shattered her gallbladder?

Jiang Hui was in pain, but she was not incapable of thinking.

The more painful the moment became, the deeper her resentment towards this inexplicable sneak attacker grew. Her fingers, which were pinning him down, couldn’t help but dig in harder.

Accompanied by the assailant’s sharp cries of pain, Jiang Hui felt her fingertips sinking into a thick, viscous sensation as they reached the hard bone underneath. A strong metallic scent of blood wafted into her nostrils, making her nerves feel as if they were jolting.

But Jiang Hui felt no satisfaction in her act of revenge; instead, she experienced a growing sense of brutality. She was in great pain, felt an overwhelming rush of anger, and her entire being plunged into an indescribable agony.

Jiang Hui continuously sought an outlet for her frustration. Her consciousness was becoming increasingly blurry, yet she refused to release her grip on the “thing” in her hands—or rather, the “prey.”

Her head throbbed painfully, and an inexplicable, immense power surged uncontrollably, spreading outwards without end.

It seemed she heard her prey suddenly scream, as if struck by something. It howled in despair and gradually lost its ability to struggle, its body becoming somewhat limp in an instant.

Realizing her prey had become submissive, Jiang Hui, now devoid of any self-control, continued to grip the trembling leg, feeling the shift from powerful resistance to helplessness. As she heard the sound of something heavy hitting the ground, she finally eased her hold on that leg, then suddenly pushed forward, producing a sharp “crack.”

Her prey had completely lost the ability to resist.

Jiang Hui finally released her grip, trembling fingers fidgeting as she stood unsteadily, stepping closer to the person who was now slumped on the ground.

Under the impact of Jiang Hui’s actions, her opponent was battered and bruised. One leg was bent awkwardly, and both wrists appeared dislocated from being dragged. The person on the ground could only feel immense fear at the varying weights of Jiang Hui’s footsteps. Who could save him now…?

But three of his limbs felt nearly useless, so how could he be faster than Jiang Hui, who had taken a powerful stamina supplement?

In the next moment, Carl felt himself being yanked up by the collar, facing a pair of bloodshot eyes. The owner of those eyes was clearly beyond reason.

“Why… did you ambush me?”

Carl was in so much pain that he could no longer think straight. Upon hearing that question, he vaguely wondered why he had chosen to attack such a terrifying person. Who knew this person was practically a monster? He regretted it deeply, very deeply.

Jiang Hui’s consciousness was growing increasingly blurry, and the pain in her abdomen was intensifying, igniting the little reason she had left.

Her inquiry wasn’t truly seeking an answer; it was a reflexive utterance driven by a lingering instinct.

She could hardly wait to hear the answer; her rationality and will had nearly been burned away by the seemingly endless pain. She decided to take matters into her own hands and delivered a powerful punch straight to his face.

“You coward, do you dare to fight me head-on? Ambushing me felt great, huh? I’ll—” smash your head like a rotten winter melon.

In the last moment before Carl’s consciousness faded, he heard her say this, and ultimately, he lost consciousness amidst the excruciating pain.

The “prey” had completely lost the ability to fight back, but Jiang Hui’s pain was far from over.

She was in agony, her entire body was hurting, making it impossible for her to think or even understand how to lose consciousness. Yet she slowly began to loosen her grip on his wrist.

The person who had fainted fell heavily to the ground, and the previously pitch-black training field was illuminated by bright lights shining from all directions. Chaotic footsteps rushed toward her, and Jiang Hui squinted, instinctively covering her eyes, which were stinging from the bright light.

Jiang Hui heard people buzzing and shouting; it sounded like they were scolding her or calling out to her. Someone was supporting her back, urging her to move back… Many, many people were talking to her, but she couldn’t understand what they were saying.

She only felt her senses gradually fading, her vision turning increasingly white, and in the blinding light, she slowly lost consciousness.
