The fog slowly parted as the ship approached the coast.

Rael stood at the bow, arms crossed, eyes locked on the landmass ahead. The air here felt different—heavier, as if soaked in smoke and mischief. The shoreline came into view: a crooked harbor dotted with shoddy docks, worn taverns, half-sunk ships, and suspicious eyes watching from every corner.

"This is Jaya?" Kaya said, peering from the deck rail.

Robin answered smoothly, "The Pirate's Paradise."

Vivi leaned beside her. "It looks like it's barely standing."

Rael chuckled. "Places like this always hold the most secrets."

As their ship docked, a few dockhands came to greet them—more out of curiosity than hospitality. A man missing several teeth gave them a lazy wave, then quickly turned when he saw Rael's sword and the gleam in his eyes.

They stepped off the ship together. Rael led, with Robin at his side, Kaya and Vivi close behind.

"Where should we start?" Kaya asked.

Robin nodded toward the town's interior. "There's a tavern near the center of town called the Rusty Nail. If rumors pass through here, that's where we'll hear them."

Rael nodded. "Then that's our first stop."

The walk through the town was a journey in itself.

The streets were lined with broken crates, wanted posters fluttering on crooked walls, and shady characters loitering on corners. Most people gave Rael and his group a wide berth—some out of caution, others out of instinct. It wasn't every day someone with a 180-million bounty walked through Jaya with two gorgeous women beside him and another trailing behind with a calculating smile.

They reached the tavern within minutes.

The Rusty Nail looked like it had been punched by time. Its wooden sign swung on rusted hinges, and the place reeked of booze, sweat, and pipe smoke. Inside, voices were loud, laughter louder. Pirates, mercenaries, and bounty hunters filled every corner.

Rael stepped through the door and the noise quieted for just a second—just enough for everyone to feel the weight of his presence.

Then the bar chatter resumed.

He led the group to a booth in the corner, taking the seat facing the entrance. A waitress approached—wide-eyed at first, then quickly turning professional.

"What'll it be?" she asked, though she couldn't help staring.

Rael ordered meat and ale. Kaya and Vivi both chose lighter meals, and Robin merely asked for wine.

As they waited, a few rugged types cast glances toward their table. One bold man, covered in tattoos and scars, nudged his buddies and stood, walking toward them with a grin.

"Well, well," he said, arms open. "We don't see your type here every day. Fancy sword, fancy girls. You royalty, pretty boy?"

Rael didn't even look up. "Walk away."

The man laughed. "Or what? You gonna cut me in front of all these people?"

"Only if you keep standing there."

There was a flicker of something in the man's eyes—hesitation, maybe. Then, like most fools in Jaya, he let pride take the wheel.

"Listen, pal, this island's full of real pirates—men who—"

Rael grabbed his shirt with one hand and slammed his face into the table with a dull crack. He let go, and the man slumped unconscious on the floor.

The tavern quieted again.

Rael looked around calmly. "Anyone else?"

Silence.

Robin sipped her wine. "You always make friends this easily?"

Kaya laughed softly, and Vivi shook her head in amused disbelief.

After the food arrived, things returned to normal. Bits of conversation floated across the tavern. Rael kept his ears open, listening. One table discussed a ship that vanished in the sky. Another talked about an old man with a map to a sky island. The name "Mont Blanc" came up more than once.

Robin caught it too. "That confirms the rumors. We're in the right place."

Kaya furrowed her brows. "A sky island? Like… floating in the air?"

Rael leaned back. "Seems insane."

Vivi glanced at him. "You've fought sandmen, warlords, and a Vice Admiral. And that's what sounds insane?"

He smiled. "Point taken."

Then the tavern door swung open hard.

A man walked in wearing a cocky grin, a red coat, and too many rings. He wasn't tall, but he carried himself like he owned the world.

Bellamy.

Rael watched as Bellamy strolled through the tavern with his usual swagger, barking orders to the bartender and throwing coins on the counter.

"That's Bellamy the Hyena," Robin whispered. "A rookie with a bounty just under 60 million. He thinks the old era of dreams is over."

"And he's about to find out how wrong he is," Rael muttered.

Bellamy's eyes scanned the room and eventually landed on Rael's table. His grin widened.

"Well, well," he said, walking over. "I thought I recognized that face. 180 million, huh? You don't look like much."

Rael glanced at him. "And you look like someone who talks too much."

Bellamy chuckled. "Let me guess—you're one of those dreamers? Sky island, ancient treasures, fairy tales?"

"Does it bother you that people still dream?" Kaya asked coldly.

Bellamy leaned on their table. "It bothers me that weaklings chase fairy tales instead of real power."

Rael's eyes narrowed. "Funny. You seem more like a coward than a realist."

There was a beat of silence. Bellamy's smile twitched.

"We'll see how much you talk when I wipe that smirk off your face."

Rael stood slowly. "Then try."

The tavern was dead silent as tension crackled between them.

But just before the fight could start, one of Bellamy's lackeys pulled him back.

"Boss, not now. He's not worth it."

Bellamy stared Rael down for another second, then scoffed and turned away.

"This town's full of nobodies clinging to dead dreams," he muttered.

As Bellamy left the tavern, Rael sat back down, calm as ever.

Robin glanced at him. "You're letting him go?"

"For now," Rael said. "But I don't forget insults. And neither do dreamers."
