The palace courtyard was quieter now.

It had been nearly a week since the victory over Crocodile, and the celebrations had long since faded. The fires of war were gone, replaced by rebuilding hands and hopeful hearts. Rael found himself walking among workers and soldiers—not as a leader, not as a hero, but as another pair of hands.

He carried lumber. Reinforced walls. Helped redirect water to villages that had gone dry. He did it all without command, without expectation. No titles. No fanfare.

And the people? They respected him more for it.

Vivi stood beside him one morning as they helped deliver supplies to a half-collapsed village on the city's edge. She wore a dusty cloak and gloves, blending in with the workers.

"They're healing," she said softly, watching children playing by a newly repaired fountain. "Thanks to you."

Rael handed her a water jug. "Thanks to all of us. I'm just one man."

"You're more than that, Rael," she said, not hiding the affection in her voice.

He gave a small smile. "You're really going to make this difficult to leave, aren't you?"

She didn't answer. But he could see it in her eyes—she already missed him.

Back in Alubarna, Robin approached Rael one evening while he rested on a balcony. The stars were out, the air cool.

"You have a new bounty," she said, handing him a folded poster.

Rael arched a brow and opened it.

His name was written in bold black ink beneath a grainy image—taken during the battle in Nanohana. His cloak flared behind him, eyes cold, sand and fire at his back.

Rael – 180,000,000 Berries

He gave a short exhale through his nose.

"Didn't think they'd go that high," he muttered.

Robin smirked. "They're scared. You humiliated a Warlord of the Sea, allied with a royal bloodline, and beat a Vice Admiral unconscious. The World Government doesn't like unknown variables."

He rolled the paper back up. "Good. Let them be nervous."

Robin studied him. "You're going to Jaya next, aren't you?"

Rael raised an eyebrow. "You always know things before I do."

"Jaya's become a hub for rumors," she said. "About the sky, about ancient weapons, about things most people are too afraid to name. If you're looking for answers… that's the next step."

Rael stood and looked out into the distance, where the desert met the stars.

"Then that's where we'll go."

The day of departure was quiet and heavy.

Vivi stood with her father at the harbor, Kaya beside her. Robin had already joined the ship to prepare the supplies.

Rael walked up to them, carrying a satchel and his blade. He stopped in front of the king and offered a respectful nod.

"Take care of your people."

King Cobra nodded solemnly. "And you—take care of my daughter."

Rael gave a small smile. "Always."

He turned to Vivi. Her eyes shimmered with unshed tears, but she smiled bravely.

"You're not leaving forever, right?" she asked.

Rael shook his head. "No. This journey's far from over. And I want you with me… if you're still sure."

She nodded. "I am."

They embraced briefly. Kaya joined them moments later, linking her arm with Vivi's. The three stood together on the deck as the ship slowly pulled away.

Alabasta grew smaller behind them, golden and quiet.

Days later, they were deep in open sea.

Rael stood at the front of the ship, scanning the horizon. Robin stood beside him, arms folded.

"Any idea what we're walking into?" he asked.

She tilted her head. "Jaya was once a place of treasure hunters and drunkards. But lately… it's been changing. Too many strange people asking the wrong questions."

Rael smirked. "Sounds like my kind of place."

Behind them, Kaya and Vivi were sitting near the mast, quietly chatting. Kaya laughed at something Vivi said, and Vivi gently nudged her. Both of them looked toward Rael at the same time, smiling softly.

Robin noticed and looked away with a subtle smirk.

Rael caught her glance. "You're not going to say it, are you?"

Robin shook her head. "Say what?"

"That you're starting to like traveling with us."

"I didn't say that."

"But you didn't deny it either."

She chuckled. "Maybe I'm just curious to see what kind of storm you'll cause next."

Rael grinned. "Let's find out."
