Beta Michael opened the door to his apartment, and he was greeted by the most beautiful and amazing scent he had ever smelled. It was a mix of soap, shampoo, and something else that was uniquely Elijah's.

He sighed contentedly, this is the scent he wants to be getting home to, after a long day doing pack business he want to go home to his mate, surrounded by his scent.

He followed the scent to the bedroom, his heart racing with an emotion he couldn't name, he entered the room and saw Elijah stepping out of the bathroom, with a towel wrapped around his waist.

Beta Michael's eyes widened as he took in the sight of Elijah's creamy body and perfectly carved torso. His eyes wandered downward, and he saw Elijah's six packs, his abs rippling beneath his skin.

"Damn," Beta Michael muttered to himself. "He must be working out."

He continue gazing at Elijah, and his eyes followed the trail of a water droplet falling from Elijah's head and traveling downward, disappearing into the towel he wrapped around his waist. Beta Michael's eyes followed the droplet, and he licked his lips at the thought that Elijah wasn't wearing anything except for the towel.

Elijah's face darkened, anger flashing through his eyes as he stood up from the bed, and wrapped the towel back around his waist. "I'm sorry I don't meet your expectations," he spat , "I'm sorry I'm not a beautiful and gentle she-wolf."

Beta Michael's smile faltered, and he realized he might had gone too far with his joke. He opened his mouth to apologize, but Elijah cut him off.

"If you want to reject our bond you should talk quickly, Because if you don't want me, there are lot of male wolves and female wolves who are dying to get a piece of me and take me to bed."

Beta Michael's eyes widened in shock, and he felt a pang of jealousy and anger. The thought of Elijah with another wolf make his blood boil and he saw red .

He stood up from the bed with his eyes blazing with anger, He pushed Elijah against the wall gently , his hands on either side of his head.

"Repeat what you just said," he growled angrily.

" I said , if you want to reject me you should know that there are many wolves who want to take me to bed."

Beta Michael's face contorted in anger, he bared his teeth and his eyes flashed with possessiveness. "You're mine," he snarled. "Mine alone. No other wolf has the right to touch you, except for me."

Elijah pouted , " I thought you wanted a beautiful and gentle she-wolf as your mate?"

Beta Michael's growl deepened. "I was just joking."

"I was just joking too," Elijah replied, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Beta Michael's face darkened, his eyes blazing with warning. "Stop joking about such things."

He turned and walked away, leaving Elijah against the wall. " Goodness, you know how to push all my buttons," he groaned, his voice muffled with anger. "get dressed quickly Alpha thane wants to meet with you, he wants to know more about the poison you're injected with and how to get the antidote.

Seeing that beta Micheal was still angry ,Elijah pulled him into a gentle kiss to soothe his anger.

As they broke apart for air, Beta Michael's eyes locked onto Elijah's, and he knew he was in love.

Elijah rub his nose against beta Micheal nose, " I still don't know your name mate."

Beta Michael's face flushed with a blush as he replied, "My name is Michael."

"Hum okay, Now I know the name I'll be screaming later on."

Beta Michael's face grew even redder and he turned quickly away, trying to hide his embarrassment. He went to his wardrobe and brought out some clothes for Elijah to wear.

"Here, put these on," Beta Michael said, trying to sound casual despite his embarrassment.

Elijah thanked him and began to put on the clothes, "I would have preferred to stay naked, but..."

Beta Michael cut him off. "Alpha Thane wants to talk to you, and you need to dress quickly, we've waste enough time as it is."

Elijah finished dressing and smoothed out his clothes, he looked up at Beta Michael and told him that he's done dressing up , "Let's go see Alpha Thane ."

Beta Michael nodded, and together they left the bedroom, heading towards Alpha Thane's office.
