Beta Michael's wolf let out a blood-curdling howl as he heard Elijah's words. The sound echoed through the cell, a haunting howl of sadness and despair. Beta Michael felt his heart shatter into a million pieces as he realized that his mate, the one person he was meant to be with, was going to die.

He couldn't handle the thought of losing Elijah, not now, not ever. He just meet him after years of waiting and how he's gonnna lose him in the next 12 hours ,He felt like he was going to collapse, like his legs were going to give out beneath him.

With a shaking hand, Beta Michael reached out and pulled up Elijah's sleeve. He saw a swollen spot on his arm that looked like a needle mark. The skin around it had started to turn a deep purple-black, and Beta Michael's heart sank.

He moved back, his hand flying up to cover his mouth. Hot tears swelled up in his eyes as he stared at Elijah in horror. He felt like he was going to be sick, like his world was crashing down around him.

Elijah's eyes met Beta Michael's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Beta Michael could see the pain and the fear in Elijah's eyes, and it broke his heart.

He took a step forward, his eyes never leaving Elijah's face. "We'll find a way to save you," he promised, "We'll find a way to get you the antidote, no matter what , I'll do everything in my power to save you."

Elijah turned back to Beta Michael, a small smile playing on his lips. "Thank you," he said quietly holding beta Micheal hands , "if I don't make it, I want you to know that I'm happy. Because I got to meet you."

Beta Michael's eyes widened in surprise, and he felt a pang of emotion in his chest. "What do you mean?."

Elijah's smile grew wider, "I mean that I'm happy because I got to meet my mate, I've been searching for you for so long, and I finally found you, you're everything that I thought you're be ,Even if I don't have much time left, I'm grateful for the time we have together."

Beta Michael's heart skipped a beat and he looked into Elijah's eyes. He could see the sincerity and emotion there, and he felt his own heart responded in kind. He took a step closer to Elijah and kneel beside him

"I'm not going to let you die," he promised. "I'll find a way to save you, no matter what it takes, I won't lose you ,not now, not ever."

Elijah's eyes bore into Beta Michael's eyes and for a moment they just stare at him each other. Beta Michael felt like he was drowning in the depths of Elijah's eyes.

Then, Elijah nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Thank you," he whispered, "Thank you for caring."

Elijah's expression turned grim, and he looked away from Beta Michael, his eyes clouding over with a mix of sadness and resignation.

Beta Michael's face darkened, his eyes narrowing in concern. "We'll get the antidote," he promised. "We'll do everything in our power to save you."

Elijah turned back to Beta Michael, a small smile playing on his lips. "Thank you," he said. "But even if I don't make it, I'm happy. Because I got to meet you."

Beta Michael's eyes widened in surprise, and he felt a pang of emotion in his chest. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice low and husky.

Elijah's smile grew wider, and he took a step closer to Beta Michael. "I mean that I'm happy because I got to meet my mate," he said, his eyes locked onto Beta Michael's. "I've been searching for you for so long, and I finally found you. Even if I don't have much time left, I'm grateful for the time we have together."

Beta Michael's heart skipped a beat as he looked into Elijah's eyes. He could see the sincerity and emotion there, and he felt his own heart respond in kind. He took a step closer to Elijah, his voice barely above a whisper.

"I'm not going to let you die," he promised. "We'll find a way to save you, no matter what it takes."

Beta Michael left Elijah in the dungeon, his mind still racing with thoughts of how to save him. He found Ryker and some guards waiting outside the dungeon, "Ryker, I want you to take Elijah to my quarters."

Ryker's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Your quarters, Beta?"

Beta Michael nodded. "Yes. Let him bathe and wear some of my clothes. And feed him properly. He's been through a lot."

Ryker's expression changed from surprise to understanding, and he nodded. "I'll take care of it, Beta."

Beta Michael watched as Ryker went into the dungeon to retrieve Elijah. He then turned and made his way to Alpha Thane's office.

When he arrived, he found Alpha Thane sitting behind his desk, his head bent over a file in his hands.

"Alpha, I need to speak with you about Elijah."

Alpha Thane's expression changed to one of curiosity. "Elijah,? Who is Elijah?" he asked.

Beta Micheal scratched his hair, "the rogue wolf you brought back, his name is Elijah."

Alpha thane raised is eyebrows, confusion still etched on his face.

Beta Michael took a deep breath and launched into the story of what had happened in the dungeon. He told Alpha Thane about the mate bond between him and Elijah, about how Elijah's pack had been slaughtered by Alpha Kael and about how Elijah had been injected with a slow-acting poison.

Alpha Thane's eyes grew darker and darker as his Beta spoke, his eyes flashing with anger.

"And he only has 12 hours to live?" Alpha Thane repeated surprisingly.

Beta Michael nodded. "Yes, Alpha. That's what he said. We need to find a way to get him the antidote, or... "

Alpha Thane stood up and went to clasped Micheal's shoulder, "We'll find a way Micheal, We'll do whatever it takes to save your mate's life."

Beta Michael's voice cracked with emotion as he spoke. "I don't want my mate to die, Alpha," his eyes pleading. "I want to help him. I want to save him."

Alpha Thane patted his shoulder and nodded. "I understand, Beta, We'll do everything in our power to save his life.why don't you go and bring him here to office , Let's see what our pack healers can do about the poison in his system."

Beta Michael eyes shone with a renewed smile as he felt a glimmer of hope. He turned to leave, and Alpha Thane's voice called to him as he reached the door.

"Beta Michael," Alpha Thane called out.

Beta Michael turned back, his eyes meeting Alpha Thane's.

"Don't worry, We'll do everything we can to save your mate's life. He won't die. Not on my watch."

"Thank you, Alpha."

Alpha Thane nodded, "Go bring Elijah to me," he said. "We'll get to work on saving his life."
