Chapter 481: Chapter 481: The Defeat of the Five Great Shinobi Villages (Part 3)

For Daniel, if he wanted to, the Tsuchigumo clan's forbidden jutsu could be unleashed on any of the hidden villages. Unfortunately for Sunagakure, their luck had run out. While it could've been used against Konoha as well, Daniel decided not to due to the presence of Minato and Kushina. Although, in the context of war, it wouldn't have been a major issue either.

Everyone has their biases, and the power of the Tsuchigumo jutsu was immense. A single misstep could wipe out Konoha's twelve rookies, though whether they'd die fighting Nagato was a different matter.

"Let's move," Daniel said, and the trio immediately launched toward their respective targets. Interestingly, all three were ninja capable of flight.

"Obito, you're still alive." As Daniel and the others initiated their assault, Kakashi and Obito's battle raged on within Amegakure. Kakashi was deeply shocked to see his old comrade alive.

Of course, Daniel hadn't forgotten about Kakashi, the so-called "Copy Ninja," and had arranged a special opponent for him—his former teammate, Uchiha Obito.

In exchange for reviving Rin, Obito agreed to follow Daniel's commands. His loyalty and obsession with Rin made him an ideal candidate for Daniel's experiment. While Daniel admired Obito's dedication, he also wanted to see if Obito's Mangekyo Sharingan would remain functional after it was removed. This experiment would determine whether Daniel could replicate the Sharingan—and perhaps even the Rinnegan.

Currently, there were only three surviving Uchiha: Obito, Sasuke, and Itachi. Sasuke was off-limits, and Itachi was certainly not an option, leaving Obito as the most suitable test subject.

After Daniel restored both of Obito's eyes using his full healing powers, the result was normal human eyes, not Sharingan. Even so, with his Uchiha bloodline and Hashirama cells, Obito's power level remained formidable, at least at the level of an elite Jonin. Facing off against a one-eyed Kakashi, the two were evenly matched.

Obito's prowess primarily lay in his Kamui ability, a space-time jutsu that allowed him to phase in and out of existence, making him nearly invincible. However, his combat experience outside of Kamui wasn't particularly strong. This weakness had been evident even when Obito became the incomplete Ten-Tails Jinchuriki, as he was ultimately defeated by Sasuke and Naruto, who at the time had not yet inherited the power of the Sage of Six Paths.

"I'm alive. Is that so strange to you, Kakashi?" Obito replied, his expression calm.

"Why didn't you return to Konoha? Sensei and everyone else worried about you for so long," Kakashi said after a brief pause.

"You're missing someone, Kakashi. Why return? To become another pawn of Konoha's? The 'Will of Fire' is a joke." Obito's voice grew cold as he spoke.

"Obito, about Rin—"

"What's there to say? Was her death just a noble sacrifice for Konoha? Was it part of Konoha's high-stakes game, where pieces like her and your father could be discarded at any time? Konoha doesn't deserve to exist," Obito sneered.

"Rin wanted a world without conflict, without war. If the ninja villages and the daimyo were gone, that dream could finally become a reality. For that dream, I'll eliminate anyone who stands in the way," Obito declared.

Hearing Obito mention his father, the White Fang, left Kakashi momentarily speechless. If Daniel hadn't revealed the truth about Konoha's inner workings, Kakashi might have clung to the belief that his father's death was a noble sacrifice for peace. But in the current reality, that idea seemed tragically naive.

Similarly, Itachi's decision to massacre the Uchiha clan for the sake of Konoha's peace now seemed equally absurd. In comparison, Yukimura Tenzen, who had slaughtered his own clan for his daughter's safety, appeared far more relatable.

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" Not giving Kakashi time to think, Obito launched another attack. Having lost faith in his ideals, Obito was now driven by a single goal: to reunite with Rin.

The two resumed their intense battle, clashing kunai with such force that sparks flew with every strike.

"Around three thousand, huh? Though it's fewer than the number of ninjas deployed in the Fourth Great Ninja War, these troops are far more elite," Daniel mused, sensing the number of Kirigakure shinobi along with the forces of Konoha and Kumogakure flanking them. From this, Daniel deduced that the Five Great Villages had mobilized over ten thousand ninjas. While this number was much smaller than the eighty thousand deployed during the Fourth Great Ninja War, the quality of the troops was much higher, with almost no Genin among them.

At the heart of the Kirigakure forces, several hundred ninjas were working together to form massive barriers. Within these barriers, giant water dragons were taking shape—this was a combined Water Dragon Bullet Jutsu.

The power of a jutsu like the Water Dragon Bullet varied greatly depending on the user. When wielded by Mei Terumi, it had enough force to knock back even Madara's Susanoo.

The combined efforts of hundreds of Kirigakure ninjas, however, meant the resulting water dragon's power would be unimaginable.

Around these barrier-creating ninjas, many others stood guard to prevent any interference, including underwater ambushes. Kirigakure's aquatic summoning beasts, mostly large sea creatures like sharks, eels, and octopi, patrolled the waters below, ensuring no one could sneak in undetected.

Unlike the Three Legendary Sannin of Konoha, whose summoning creatures could fight equally well on land and water, Kirigakure's aquatic beasts were most effective underwater, making this terrain their natural battlefield.

"Mei Terumi… It seems Zabuza didn't pass along my message," Daniel remarked, eyeing the leader of the Kirigakure forces. Mei, the Fifth Mizukage, stood at the front of her troops, her long brown hair flowing behind her as she exuded a mature and confident aura.

"He did, but no one knows the outcome of a battle until it's fought. Against the combined might of the Five Great Villages, do you really think you stand a chance?" Mei replied with a sultry smile, her determination unwavering.

She wasn't entirely wrong. Just as the rebellious Supernovas of the pirate world had challenged the Yonko, the Five Great Villages would never concede defeat without first testing their strength against Akatsuki.

"A chance? You never had one from the start. We gave you time to gather your forces, not out of necessity but because we didn't want to waste time attacking each of your villages individually. Do you really think the Five Great Villages could have assembled here without our permission?" Daniel's voice was calm but firm.

He was not like Obito, who had foolishly allowed his enemies to gather their forces for a grand battle. Daniel had simply given them the time as a courtesy. Had he wanted to, Akatsuki could have dismantled the Five Great Villages one by one before they could coordinate.

"Is that so? And you think you can stop all of us by yourself?" Mei asked, her resolve unshaken.

"I don't need to stop all of you—just your forbidden techniques. Ice Release," Daniel replied, bringing his hands together. A terrifying cold spread out from beneath him, rapidly freezing the entire area. In moments, the once expansive lake had turned into a vast sheet of ice, trapping everything in place.

The massive water dragons within Kirigakure's barrier and all the aquatic summoning beasts patrolling the waters were instantly frozen solid.

"Come to Amegakure when you're ready for your attack," Daniel said before retreating. Despite the overwhelming number of Kirigakure ninjas, he wasn't interested in a drawn-out battle. He had frozen their forces to neutralize their large-scale jutsu, not to fight them directly.

This was war, and there was no need for Daniel to handle everything personally. Besides, if he resolved all the battles himself, the Akatsuki forces and the newly trained ninja army of Akatsuki's nation would have no purpose.

"Die! Lightning Release: Lariat!" Unlike Daniel's encounter, Konan faced a much more intense confrontation. The Fourth Raikage, A, had given her no time to speak, immediately launching his powerful Lightning Release attack, tearing through Konan's body. However, her form dissolved into paper, scattering across the water's surface—it had been a paper clone.

"Paper Person of God Technique!" Konan's real body appeared high in the air, and with a wave of her hand, the lake beneath Kumogakure's forces split in two. The sudden shift in terrain caused the entire Kumogakure force to lose their footing and plummet into the chasm below, the Raikage included.

The layout of Kumogakure's forces mirrored that of Kirigakure, with hundreds of ninjas working in unison to set up lightning-release barriers. The Raikage, known for his direct combat style, stood at the front line.

Now, however, they had all been swept into Konan's trap.

"What is this?" As the water gave way and countless paper bombs

began to fill the space, the Kumogakure ninjas were thrown into confusion. They didn't realize what was happening until it was too late.

"Bee! Yugito!" The Raikage shouted, his voice echoing through the chaos. Killer Bee and Yugito Nii, the Eight-Tails and Two-Tails Jinchuriki, immediately transformed into their tailed-beast forms, desperately shielding as many of their comrades as they could.

But it was hopeless. Despite the strength of the Eight-Tails, it could only protect a handful of ninjas. The sheer volume of paper bombs—three hundred billion—was too overwhelming.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Explosions rang out in an unending chain, drowning the chasm in flames and sending shockwaves through the air. The Raikage, clad in his lightning armor, barely registered the explosions as they tore through his ranks. Those few who survived had relied on chakra barriers or protective techniques, but most were obliterated in the relentless onslaught.

Konan had prepared three hundred billion paper bombs for this attack—enough to keep exploding continuously for about ten minutes. By the end, 90% of the Kumogakure forces would be wiped out. Only the Raikage, Killer Bee, Yugito, and a few others would survive, though even they would be severely drained of chakra.

Unlike her previous battle with Obito, where her six billion paper bombs failed to kill him, Konan's current trap had devastated an entire shinobi village. It was a staggering victory.

"Raikage-sama…" In the southern command center of the Five Great Villages, the remaining leaders fell silent as they watched the destruction of Kumogakure's forces unfold.

The joint command center, set up to monitor the battlefield and ensure no one slacked off, had sensors from each of the five villages. It had been designed to provide real-time updates and prevent any village from shirking their duties during the war.

But now, as they witnessed the overwhelming power of Akatsuki's assault, no one dared speak.
