Strongest Gacha God.

Chapter 18: Strongest Gacha God ch18 Future.

"Miss Dorothy I'll have been meaning to ask, what's the difference between a mage and a wave controller?"

Since the two had nothing left to do. They merely strolled the busy streets of the city so to not make the walk awkward Felix decided to pose a few questions about his curiosity.

Dorothy to respond began,"The difference between them like all the other class is their usage of mana. Wave controllers harness raw mana and transmute them into elements or use them as a signal to control the more abstract elements. A Wave controller is limited to a particular element or which they are born with. As for Mages, we harness mana by injecting them into magic circles and chants to manipulate the laws of the world. Simply one would be classified as a superpowers while the other magic."

"So Mages aren't limited to a single element?" Felix asked.

"No really. For instance I am a fire mage but I'm not limited to only using fire magic, I can learn how to cast spell for wind magic and other. As a mage our only limitations is knowledge and the ability to comprehend it hence why I'm always reading."

Pointing at her head she said smuggly.

"So basically Wave controlling is more straightforward but rigid in nature but magic is complex in exchange extremely versatile."

" Yep pretty much!"

" Can I learn magic then?"

" You're a summon so... waits you can control wind right?"

" Somewhat!" He laughed, scratching his head.

" But I'm sure you also have a summon but.. wait a minute do you have multiple classes."

" Maybe."

His wording was vague enough for Dorothy to know not to continue prying but as a mage, curiosity was her flaw so that wasn't enough to silence her.

" Please at least tell me how many classes?" She pleaded with puppy dog eyes.

" It's complicated!" Felix didn't bulge no matter how much he wanted to brag.

" Please just a hint."

Pinching her a thumb and a finger together as if measuring the grains of sand, she urged.

"Let it be known, that I, Dorothy Mavork, swear on the life of Marcus to never speak of you secret."

" Hold up shouldn't it be on your..."

" Shhh... it's a friend's life this should saw how much I'm wellling to keep the promise. I mean it's not like I want Marcus dead or anything."

" She does wants him death." Felix came to that conclusion observing the sinister grin she had.

" Listen Miss Dorothy. I trust you more than I even want but there are things I can't disclose."

" Like you fake amnesia?" She pouted.

" That is actually a halt truth."

" I knew it." She said intently causing Felix to flinch from her enthusiasm.

"Miss Dorothy..."

"Call me Dorothy."

"Okay...Mi... Dorothy as I was saying I don't know you enough to disclose my secret."

"So if we get to know each other for a while you'll tell me."

"Ah...I guess." Felix scratched his head a bit. A bad feeling creeping across his spine.

"Then I'll stick to you for now."

"Wait what?" He was startled at her bold proclamation.

"Mi.. Dorothy aren't you taking this a bit too fast."

"Nope." She folded her arms and shook her head.,"I live to unravel the mysterious of the world and unfortunate for you, you're caught my eyes."

That chilling gaze of her's reminded him of Marcus and now he understood why they were friends.

They both were fools to their curiosity.

"What about your team then?"

"My team..I don't have one."

"Wait Marcus, Evelyn and Diesel."

"Oh them, we'll work buddies. We meet occasionally to perform tough missions together but after that we part until the next big mission."

"I see."

"If you're wondering about Marcus. That fool might not look like it but he has a fiance back in Coast city. He'll be damned to go along my whims."

There were hints of sadness and jealousy but Felix pretended he didn't hear any of that.

" You're really going to stick to me,I mean we just meet?" He asked again.

" Yep. You and me against the world kinda of story."

" So we'll be buddies?"

" Pretty much. We'll became the best of friends and you're tell me all you secrets. Ofcourse since I'm such a considerate fellow I'll also tell you my secrets. Isn't that a win."

The secrets of a demon, a being so far deviod of humanity was intriguing but more importantly the fact that he could gain a companion and future ally was too good of an offer to refuse.

Right now he needed a resident of this own. World, one whom knew he was abnormal enough to not question all inquires he made and if Dorothy was offering herself for such position then so be it.

"I guess we now partners then."

Offering his hand for a handshake he smiled.

The red haired demon blinked and stared at his unstreched hand.

A smile followed as she returned his handshake with her own.

In the corners of the city, more precisely among one of the dozens alleyways in the city, Marcus now dressed in a more casual attire peaked out the streets watching with a smile as Dorothy and Felix formed a partnership.

"Good!" He thought, his expression growing warmer.

After a while he turned to leave only to be meet by a grumpy blonde elf whom blocked his path.

"We you stalking them?" Evelyn wearing an arm cast from the injury she had sustained said coldy at Marcus's odd behavior.

"You're a weird person Marcus but stalking. Even for you that's a new low."

"You have no right to judge me, Miss sadistic assassin.".with a playful remark he walked passed Evelyn whom furrowed at his words.

"You're trying to throw me off with you insults so I don't question you odd behavior the past few days."

"Huh?" Marcus paused his hands in his pocket.

"Odd?"

"You're grown more mellow. The old Marcus wouldn't have suggested to keep the kid when he first encountered us but..."

" People change Evelyn. You should know that better than anyone."

His cold word echoced in the alleyway.

" Marcus..." Evelyn said in wary,"... why did you suggest to Diesel we leave the Oasis much earlier than scheduled?"

"....."

" At first I thought nothing of it but the more I watched you convince her did I see the panic in you eyes. As if you were afraid of something. Marcus did you..."

" As expected you're observant."

In a matter of second, a sword made of ice was pointed at Evelyn throat, causing her breath to hitch and her movement to stop.

"...you!" She gulped, her pupils diluting in shock.

She knew clearly she was at a disadvantage if the owner of the blade so much as drove it foward and yet she couldn't help but ask more questions.

"Are you the traitor?"

"Is the boy your accomplice?"

"Who do you work for?"

"The attack did you know it would happen?"

"Why...."

"Hahaha..."

Laughter cut of her words leaving her to furrow when Marcus pulled back his blade.

"...Miss Assassin I'll like to glady inform you're, all you predication are wrong."

"...."

"Speechless ain't your. I was the same when I saw that boy. A variable, one who shouldn't have been there at that particular time."

"What are you mumbling about?"

"Oh right..."

Ruffling his head with a cynical look, he cracked a smile and continued," Evelyn that boy was our luck. His the only reason you all survive this round."
