Starsea Fleet: Age of the Lord

Chapter 179: Chapter 179: The Gale System

With just a few words, everyone obediently paid up.

Feng Mo wasn't aware of the remarks made by the old duke; at the moment, he was deep in conversation with Ai Er about how best to develop the Gale System, a resource-rich system.

Feng Mo suggested that all raw materials from the T4-level resource planets be reserved for their use. Out of the remainder, he'd assign thirty percent to the Chen family, another thirty percent to the Yunjiang Commerce Guild for trade, and the remaining forty percent would go out to public bidding.

As he already had the Fengyun Starship Trading Company, Feng Mo wasn't keen on getting involved directly in raw material transactions. Instead, he intended to allocate some of these profits to building alliances with various influential parties, which would only benefit the Storm Kingdom.

In just a few exchanges, the two had already decided the Gale System's future. After business, it was time to address more personal matters—Feng Mo hadn't forgotten about his bet with Ai Er. Since he won, Ai Er would now have to face her punishment. As for the details of the punishment, we'll leave that to the reader's imagination. For those interested, Feng Mo has all the resources you need.

The next morning, feeling refreshed, Feng Mo opened the Spark System panel. As he looked over the newly added star system to his territory, a wave of accomplishment washed over him. The latest temporary mission was already completed.

[Temporary Mission: Deal a Blow to the Snowhawk Empire's Council Families. Status: Completed. Reward: 5,000 points, T5 Sword Dragon-class Interstellar Frigate Design Blueprint x1.]

Feng Mo clicked to claim his reward.

[Reward successfully claimed. 5,000 points and T5 Sword Dragon-class Interstellar Frigate Design Blueprint x1 acquired.]

T5 Sword Dragon-class Interstellar Frigate:

Armor Strength: 2700 units

Ship Dimensions: 1.2 km x 260 m x 223 m

Speed: 400 knots (stellar speed)

Warp Engine: Level 5

Starshield Energy: Level 5, 100%

Weapons: T5 Turbo Laser Main Gun, T5 Close-range Laser Rapid-fire Cannons x180, Missile Launch Bays x30

This ship was equipped with two sword-like spikes at the bow, along with a scaled-up spiked mace attachment.

The Sword Dragon-class frigate is a standard armored missile frigate, armed with both main guns and interstellar missiles. Its thick shield and armor were its defining features, and it excelled at close combat—far superior to earlier models like the Blade Shield and Black Bear classes.

Overall, the frigate's stats were impressive, although its weight held back its speed, keeping it at the threshold for a T5 starship.

After collecting his rewards, Feng Mo's points had accumulated to 14,660. He figured it was about time to exchange for another T5 starship. This time, he had a specific goal in mind. A battleship-class star destroyer could wait; while it was powerful, it wasn't a priority.

Additionally, his current point total was a bit awkward—not quite 15,000. Since the next main quest had no point rewards, and he didn't know when another temporary mission might come along, Feng Mo decided it was better to exchange for a new T5 ship to bolster the Storm Fleet for now.

He opened the Spark System store and focused on browsing T5 stealth bombers. Feng Mo had watched the Federation's dozen invisible bombers decimate the Giant Lizard Fleet with utter clarity. Plus, the Storm Fleet already had stealth bombers, but they were only T4-class and beginning to lag behind the rest of the fleet. They could be reassigned to other fleets under his command.

T5 Xuanniao-class Stealth Bomber: Among the four T5 stealth bombers available, this model was Feng Mo's top choice. Its primary feature was moving undetected, with an ability to maintain stealth even during missile launches, without exposing its hull.

Armor Strength: 2000 units

Ship Dimensions: 1 km x 230 m x 211 m

Speed: 470 knots (stellar speed)

Warp Engine: Level 5

Starshield Energy: Level 5, 100%

Weapons: T5 Neutron Missiles, T5 Antimatter Annihilation Missiles, T5 Proton Torpedoes

The Xuanniao-class had a speed advantage over the Fengshen and was three times the size of the T4-class, with a larger payload. Though it only carried three types of weapons, these were powerful. The Proton Torpedoes were familiar, but the Antimatter Annihilation Missiles could be effective against anything below T7.

As for the Neutron Missiles, their firepower was only a step below the Star Destroyer Cannon, dubbed the most powerful non-destroyer weapon available for T5-class ships.

Feng Mo handed over the blueprints for the two starships to Ai Er, who was to transport them to the underground storage facility. Then, with Alisa, he headed there personally and gave the following instructions:

"Transfer the four T4 Scorpions and two quasi-T5 ships from the Storm Fleet to the five major fleets. The design department should aim to build six more T4 Scorpions, with two assigned per fleet."

"Additionally, build four Hurricane-class ships and four Orca-class ships, which will serve as flagships for each fleet."

"Notify each fleet commander to refine their fleet configurations, breaking them down into Combat, Patrol, and Logistics units. The Combat Fleet should transition away from T3 ships, except for special-purpose ones, and focus on T4 ships."

"Have the five fleet commanders submit their fleet configurations for review, and Alisa, I'll need your support to make preparations for the fleet expansions."

"As for the T5 Xuanniao-class Stealth Bombers, start by building four. And let's have twenty T5 Sword Dragon-class Interstellar Frigates."

Two months ago, the Storm Empire wouldn't have had enough raw materials to support such a large-scale build. But Feng Mo could now confidently say that they had ample resources.

With recent spoils and auction income, the kingdom could fund the construction of nearly a hundred T5 ships, so Feng Mo took the opportunity to order twenty-four T5 vessels in one go.

Once he issued the build orders, Feng Mo hesitated for a moment before silently leaving, leaving Alisa in awe.

The task of mass-producing T4 ships for the five fleets and constructing twenty-four T5 ships felt overwhelming. Even though Feng Mo hadn't set a deadline, Alisa knew he'd likely start checking in regularly—once every seven days at least.

No wonder he had hesitated to say anything before leaving, as if he wanted to show a bit of sympathy but didn't quite know how to express it. Hmph, a pay raise is in order!

Alisa fumed silently but quickly became engrossed in the two T5 designs before her.

Meanwhile, Feng Mo had another task on his mind. He messaged Ai Er, instructing her to transfer Alisa's bed, snacks, and favorite toys to the storage facility, with three meals a day delivered there.

Feng Mo prided himself on his thoughtfulness toward his subordinates, ensuring they could have snacks, toys, and a bed while working. Truly, he thought, he was an exemplary lord.

After leaving the storage facility, Feng Mo returned to his office, where he noticed a new transfer of three billion star coins. He couldn't help but scoff—did the Snowhawk nobles take him for a fool?

Did they think the entire U1 System was only worth three billion star coins? Just the hundreds of billions of lives there were worth more, not to mention the

seven T4 resource planets in the system. He wasn't some naïve child they could fool so easily.
