Star Wars: the purge

Chapter 22: Regreat (6)

Twirling the swords around in my hands before takeong a step forward with such speed that my next opponent couldn't follow my movement properly. Sending both swords into a downward slash the Megnaguard with such speed and power.

Failing to properly deflect my incoming attack the megnadruid stumbles back slightly losing it balance and leaving itself vulnerable to my following up attack.

Knowing that I could not finish the druid of with my next attack I sent my next attack speeding toward its right flank. In desperation the megnaguard hastily defends it now vulnerable flank.

Using this chance after my faint, with swift movements I move to its left side taking advantage of it weakness, bringing my sword down on it left hand. And with one precise movement I manage to sever its hand with one strick before using my remaining strength to disarm the electrostaff from the megna druid.

Once disarming the megnagurd I use the electrostaff to send masive amount of electricity causing through it body. An action that sends the druid hurdling through the air, Shaak Ti seeing the apparent vulnerability of the megnadruid from the corner of her eye, turns around before delivering an attack to it midsection completely bisecting the elite druid.

Shaak Ti now finding strength within her new fighting partner moves toward Vincent placing her back against his. Before once again taking a offence stance.

With a light tone Shaak Ti comments." You make quite the fighting companion Vincent, I can see why young skywalker views you so highly."

Hearing the subtle joy within her voice I can grip but chuckle slightly in amusement." Your not to bad your self your mastery of the second light saber form is rather commendable."

Allowing the moment of battle to get the better of her Shaak Ti let out laugh." You know I might have to make this a more regular occurrence. Better yet I might just have to poach you away from skywalker."

With smirk on my face." You know I might just let you, poach me that is. I'm sure Anakin would understand." A comment that earned me another beautiful laugh.

As the two contuned to not so subtlety flirt with one another. General Grievius could be seen watching from afar worry growing ever stronger within his mind.

And who could really blame him, from his perspective he had sent enough cannon fodder toward his target over the last couple of hours, that no matter what she should have been completely exhausted. And yet before General Greivous's eyes he continued to watch as the two induvidles work in perfect harmony, effortlessly cutting down his elite megnagurd with unparalleled ease.

Now if this had just been the commando druid Greivous could have understood, because in the end commando druids while being superior in every way to the B1 druids, They were far inferior to the megnaguards.

The megnaguards were the most elite druid that the separatists could currently manufacture. And one of the pet projects of general Grievius teaching the 9 light saber techniques, intending for the most elite druids under his command to be able to compete or even kill lesser jedi.

So as Greivous watched the two induvidles tear apart his pride and joy, he could only curse under his breath. The lack of information regarding the interference of general Vincent on this mission irritated him to no end. Had he known before hand he would have brought be megnaguards for this ambush.

Back on the battlefield Vincent was having a great time. It had been for to long since he had let lose this much. And with the assistance of Shaak Ti he was able to move around far more recklessly then he normally would have.

With a mad grin on my face I sent the electrostaff crashing into the megnaguards chest with deverstaing force. Separating the druid from the ground, for no more a few seconds was it airborne but those few seconds were enough for Shaak Ti send a slash front the side instantly decapitating the druid.

Retuning back to her fight Shaak Ti outmanoeuvred the the megnadruid with nimble movement. Allowing her light saber to cut right through it right leg.

As the druid stumbles back after losing a leg I take the initiative to finish of the leftovers that Shaak Ti is kind enough to send my way. Setting the electrostaff to maximum I send a Lethal strick toward its head. The megnaguard unable to rebalance itself is unable to protect itself for the deadly strike heading toward it head.

With the last of the megnaguards left nothing more then a pile of scrape metal. I look to the side and glance at the exhausted figure of Shaak Ti, who was now using my body to support herself all with a beautifully battle crazed smile.

Heaing the footsteps of the last remaining druid left in the surroundings. I look forward as my eyes land on the figure of general Grievius, as he slowly begins to walk toward us.

" trully the two of you have outdone yourself this time, any lesser fighters would have fallen long ago. If all the jedi that live within the temple trained even a fraction as much as jedi master Shaak Ti then I would have far fewer trophy's in my collection."

A playful smile began to spread across my face, as I could find no words to refute his claims. The jedi over the centuries had grown weak and complacent, an action that in turn was having major affect on the quality of new jediwith each passing generation.

But even so I could not with good conscience let Grievius have the last word, my pride just simply would not allow such an outcome." And if the separatists were even half the strategists they believe themselves to be, they would gave given up this war already."

Breaking into a fit of laughter general Grievius could be seen trully enjoying this banter with a worthy opponent. Sadly though his laugh is only interrupted by the violent Coughing fit that follows.

Sighing slightly Grievius looks apon the figure of Vincent." Trully it would be dissopionting to have to kill someone such as yourself. Men like you are hard to come by, even if you searched throughout the galaxy."

Placing Shaak Ti gently on the ground, I spin the electrostaff around my body a few time before Readying my stance." We shall see who will be the one to fall in battle. Don't count yourself the victor just yet."

And with my words said we each began taking calculated steps towars each other. Ready to predict the move of the other, as each would be engaging in a hard fight.
