Star Wars: the purge

Chapter 20: Regreat (4)

Over this week Vincent had called in a few favours from high ranking military officers.all so that he may be able to volunteer his time to serve alongside master Shaak Ti. Though not sure what Vincent was after they were more willing to clear themselves of his debt.

And so when the day arrived Vincent gathered the most elite clone troopers under his command, one that he had trained himself and gained their loyalty.

A small army only comprised of around 50 clones, but with the fighting capability to level any enemy that was unlucky enough to cross there path.

The first ten clones that followed directly behind Vincent wearing slightly modified armor. With a more prominent T shape viser that glowed with a crimson red. With a light grey colour with black and red details painted over the armor was meant to strike fear into the enemy.

Of the 50 clones all where equipped advanced blaster rifles and a second weopen to use as a sidearm. On the left arm of each clone trooper was a small shield generator for personal protection allowing for more versatile battle formations.

While out if the leading 3 had jetpacks equipped and each had a melee weopen that they were proficient in using.

This small group of clones that Vincent was leading was one of only a few that he had personly trained into one of the most elite clone squards within the Republic army.

As this elite groups marched with an orderly fashion they attracted the attention of all those around. Either with reverence or respect as the began to board their designated transport ships.

It didn't take to much time for the transport ships full of battle hardend clones to arrive at the Venator's ship hanger that that was currently under the command of master Shaak Ti.

Once docked the clones began to disembark their allocated transport ships. While offloading supplies and military equipment the each moved with disciplined movement like a well oiled machine on wars.

Walking out of tbe transport ship last Vincent is greeted by his three highest ranking clone troopers, and what appeared to be their guide that would be introducing them to the rest of the crew.

With a slightly shacky voice clearly uncomfortable being in Vincent's precense." It is my honor to welcome you aboard general Vincent. If you would please follow me, I will direct you toward the bridge of the ship."

Noding his head in response before following the officer through the metallic corridor of the Venator. Finally stopping as Vincent arrived infrount of the door that would take him inside the bridge.

Walking through door Vincent allows his naturaly fierce aura to run wild. An action that is met with stiffened body's as each personal used every ounce of strength they could muster to turn and look toward Vincent.

" it's truly my honor to have to privilege to work alongside such esteemed officers of the Republic navy. And it amd eve greater honor to work with the beautiful master Shaak Ti."

Taking control once again of his area Vincent made his way toward the leading officers. Who a had a mixture of different expressions on their faces. Most of which was relife and hope, other had a more complicated look from their prevoise discussions.

No matter how unimportant one might think. the first impression one makes when presenting themselves to another will hold a lasting impression. And though unaware Vincent had made the best first impression he could have hoped to on master Shaak Ti.

Feeling unsightly emotions from the fact that she would be walking head first into an enemy ambush with no hope of reinforcements left her a little unenthusiastic. But with the timely arrivence of Vincent, he become her light at the end of the tunnel, and she hole heartedly believed that the force had allowed their paths to cross.

As the meetin came to a close amd Vincent had finished properly introducing himself he was then guided toward his temporary living quarters where he would be staying for the short duration of this mission.

As Vincent finished unpacking all his limited personal items, he heard an unexpected knock on his door." This is captain Hamond, may I have a moment of your time sir."

" please come in captain,it would be my honor to host you as my first guest."

Entering inside he met the gaze of Vincent before he gestured for him to take a seat. " Now that you are seated, I'm sure you have something you wish to discuss with me captain Hamond."

Knowing the reputation of the man before him captain Hamond wasted no time." I'm sure that you noticed the unease within the bridge. And the looks of hope the officers directed your ways."

The captain went on to inform general Vincent the new that he had just been told moment before, about the possible dangers aspects this mission might entail.

With each passing word Vincent become more serious, as be came to relise the severitie of this mission amd the position he had unexpectedly placed himself in.

Once the captain had finished his report he let out a deep sigh that contained all the feeling he was currently feeling." Thank you for your report captain, I can now understand the feeling of gloom from your subordinates."

"But I will have you know captain that I may have volunteered for this mission without knowing the dangers. That does not change that fact that myself and thise serving under my command will do what ever it take to protect the life of master Shaak Ti and reduce the number of clone casualties. And if I have to I will personly handle general Grievius, while your men complete there objective."

A relieved smile graced the worried captain face." I ave to say your confidence words almost make me regreat that will not be able to witness such an extraordinary battle."

With the captain worry gone, the two would continue to enjoy each other's company as they talked to one another. While unknown to them both Shaak Ti listened to their conversation with a pleasant smile, with the idea that she would gain a strong ally.
