Pokémon: The Strongest Trainer (Ash SI)

Chapter 32: Chapter 31: Incarnation of the North Wind!

"I didn't expect your reach to extend so far. Not even ordinary Pokémon are safe from your greed—and now you're after a Legendary Beast too?!"

Just as the Rocket leader's voice fell, a clear and youthful voice rang out from within the mist.

A young boy emerged—wearing grey track pants, white sneakers, a red-and-white shirt, and a familiar cap that cast a shadow over his scarlet eyes. There was something in that gaze—like it could pierce through souls.

It was Ash.

After sensing an unusually dense concentration of water energy, Ash had rushed over immediately. The distance was great, so he had to rent a motorcycle from a 24-hour shop. If not for that, he wouldn't have made it in time before 6 a.m.!

Suicune watched his arrival silently. It remembered Ash. He had saved its life, so its guard was low. More than that, the water-rich aura flowing from Ash made Suicune feel inexplicably at ease.

"I'm here for Team Rocket. As for you guys... leave now, or you'll be swept away with them." Ash's tone was calm, but firm.

The Rocket grunt, seeing only a teenager, visibly relaxed.

"This is my first time seeing a Legendary Pokémon... I didn't expect it to be like this." Ash muttered, ignoring the Rocket grunt's reaction. His gaze remained fixed on Suicune, and slowly, he extended a hand toward it.

Suicune flinched slightly at first but stopped. It could feel the water energy radiating from Ash's palm—pure and harmonious.

Ash's lips curled into a faint smile. In his eyes, the Sharingan spun slowly. His unique ocular ability could store elemental energies—not for combat, but for healing.

As his eyes activated, a gentle wave of water-elemental energy surged forward, enveloping Suicune.

A brilliant blue light burst from Suicune's body. When it faded, the tired and wounded Pokémon had vanished—replaced by the majestic form of the Legendary Pokémon restored to its prime.

Ash's heart stirred.

This... this is the incarnation of the North Wind. Just its presence is enough to command awe as a Legendary Pokémon.

Ding~!

Name: Suicune

Level: Tier-3 Legendary Pokémon

Abilities: Purification, Water Absorb

Type: Pure Water

Potential: 100% (83% developed)

Water Law Affinity: 100% (28% mastery)

"It's so powerful… A Tier-3 Legendary Pokémon truly stands far above even Champion-level Pokémon. The difference must come from its command over the Law of Elements."

Ash marveled.

An 83% development in potential was already Champion peak. What came after was the Divine tier differentiation:

Tier 3 Legendary Pokémon: Potential 80–85%, Law mastery 10–30%

Tier 2 Legendary Pokémon: Potential 85–90%, Law mastery 30–50%

Tier 1 Legendary Pokémon: Potential 90–95%, Law mastery 50–70%

Super Legendary: Potential 95–100%, Law mastery 70–90%

Creation Deity (Arceus): Reserved for future legends...

At this level, mastering elemental laws was essential. Without it, even the strongest Champion Pokémon would be unable to break through the threshold into Legendary rank.

This was why most Champions hit a ceiling—humans had no clear path to understanding elemental laws, much less mastering them.

"W-What?! He healed Suicune?! Who is this brat!?"

The Rocket leader's face went pale.

They had spent all this time exhausting Suicune's strength, and now a single wave of blue light undid it all? Their entire strategy was ruined!

Suicune gave a soft cry, eyes full of gratitude. It had been fully healed, and it recognized who had done it.

Ash nodded in response, understanding its thoughts perfectly. With the presence of Bird—the telepathic Pokémon who bonded with Ash—communication between them was seamless.

"Thank me later. First, let's deal with them." Ash turned back to Team Rocket, his expression turning cold.

In the Kanto region, the Divine Guardian was the Phoenix—Ho-Oh.

But Ho-Oh was not the only one. The Phoenix's wrath once reshaped the world, and from that devastation came three of its most trusted envoys:

Suicune, the Incarnation of the North Wind

Entei, the Lord of Lava

Raikou, the Thunder Sovereign

These three were not born Legendary Pokémon.

Long ago, during an era of human greed and destruction, Ho-Oh had witnessed the loss of countless innocent Pokémon. Suicune, Entei, and Raikou—then merely rare but noble Pokémon—sacrificed themselves trying to protect others from a fire that razed the Tin Tower.

Moved by their bravery and hearts, Ho-Oh resurrected them.

In doing so, it gifted them the chance to understand and command elemental laws. That was the turning point—what elevated them to Legendary Pokémon.

Originally, the trio were only powerful rare species, barely at Champion level. But through the Phoenix's blessing and their own will to protect, they were granted divinity.

That is how Suicune, Entei, and Raikou became what they are today—Tier-3 Legendary Pokémon, guardians reborn through flames and sacrifice.

Resurrection.

A simple word, yet incredibly difficult to achieve. But for Ho-Oh, the Phoenix of Rebirth, resurrection is part of his essence. Though challenging for others, it lies within his divine domain—resurrecting life through the flames of eternity.

In gratitude for being brought back to life and given the chance to become Legendary Pokémon, Suicune, Raikou, and Entei chose to repay Ho-Oh in their own way.

They would roam the world in search of a trainer—one worthy of guiding Pokémon and humans toward harmony. They wanted to show Ho-Oh that humanity and Pokémon could still coexist in peace.

This is why the Legendary Beasts continue to roam the world. Like them, other Legendary Pokémon—such as Kyogre, Articuno, and others—also command elemental laws, whether of water, ice, or storm. The laws of nature are not exclusive; given the right opportunity, even an ordinary Pokémon may one day grasp them.

"Oh!"

With a roar, Suicune unleashed a Hyper Beam, surging with purifying wrath toward the members of Team Rocket!

Ash responded instantly. His Sharingan flared open, casting illusions upon the Rocket grunts. They froze in place, unable to move—helpless under the weight of his ocular power.

Suicune's Hyper Beam struck without mercy. In mere seconds, the battle was over. Several enemies lay unconscious or worse.

To Ash—who had long since walked the path of a warrior—this level of bloodshed was nothing unusual. Killing, if needed, was simply another action.

But to Suicune, watching quietly from the side, Ash's actions sparked deep thought.

He was young—clearly still in his teens. And yet, he hadn't taken advantage of the situation, nor had he attacked blindly. He acted with purpose and control. That told Suicune something important:

This human had a code of conduct—one he followed with precision. He wasn't reckless, and he wasn't driven by emotion. He was calm, focused, and lethal when needed.

And his power...

It wasn't inferior to that of a Legendary Pokémon.

With a sharp mind, great strength, and unwavering composure, Ash had already earned Suicune's respect.

In Suicune's eyes, this was a truly outstanding trainer—perhaps even the one they had been searching for.

TN:

It seems that all the Legendary Pokémon in this fic will be treated as "Divine"—which isn't much of a stretch, considering Entei, Raikou, and Suicune are often referred to as the Three Sacred Beasts, and they wield powers akin to deities.

Also, Ho-Oh can resurrect the dead, so there's that.
