POKEMON: PICK UP THE MYSTICAL POKEMON DIANCIE AT THE BEGINNING

Chapter 25: Chapter 25: The Crushing Victory of CARBINK

At five o'clock in the afternoon, Victor and TORRACAT fought three more battles and emerged victorious.

Victor decided to participate in one final match before heading home. Since TORRACAT had already fought three consecutive matches, he chose to let Carbink take this opportunity to battle instead.

Carbink, who had been watching the battles all day, was eager and couldn't wait to join the fray. Like most Pokémon, it had a natural love for battling and wasn't one to shy away from a challenge.

The sixth match took an unusually long time to begin. Victor waited for half an hour before being matched with an opponent.

Thanks to Victor's winning streak, a sizable crowd had gathered at Battlefield No. 13. While waiting, several elderly spectators struck up conversations with Victor, their inquiries sharing a common theme:

"Do you have a girlfriend? Would you like me to introduce you to someone?"

Despite the relentless matchmaking efforts of the older audience, Victor maintained his focus on the upcoming battle. He had no interest in romance at the moment—his mind was set on Pokémon battles.

Eventually, the crowd realized they couldn't sway Victor's resolve, leaving him to wait in peace. Just as the time limit for finding an opponent was about to expire, his challenger finally arrived.

Victor's opponent was a young man sporting an edgy haircut and a flashy, rock-style outfit.

The young man exuded arrogance. Without apologizing for his lateness, he looked Victor up and down disdainfully before sneering, "What? My opponent is just a kid who hasn't even grown up yet?"

"Students like you should stick to school and focus on your studies. This is the realm of adults!"

Victor, unfazed by the provocation, remained silent. Using his aura abilities, he could sense that the young man was deliberately trying to irritate him and throw him off his game.

When his taunts failed to elicit a response, the young man grew bored and approached Victor, casually tossing a Poké Ball into the air.

"Since you're not talking, let me defeat you in battle."

Victor quietly released Carbink from its Poké Ball, and the gemstone-like Pokémon appeared on the battlefield, its body gleaming with determination.

In response, the young man sent out his own Pokémon—a Scizor.

Pokémon: Scizor

Type: Bug/Steel

Gender: Male

Ability: Swarm

Level: 30

Moves: Bullet Punch, Slash, Wing Attack, Agility, Quick Attack, Fury Cutter, Metal Claw

It was clear why the young man was so confident. An elite-level Scizor was an intimidating opponent in a battle of this level.

Carbink, however, was seething with anger. From inside its Poké Ball, it had heard the young man's disrespectful remarks toward Victor. Now it wanted to prove its trainer's worth by crushing this arrogant opponent.

Victor, touched by Carbink's loyalty, resolved to make this battle an unforgettable lesson for the cocky trainer.

The referee Rotom announced the match details:

[This match is officially recognized by the Crimson League's Pokémon Ranking System at the Poké Ball level.]

[Battle participants: Victor vs. Finn.]

[Each trainer will use one Pokémon. Let the battle begin!]

Victor acted first, commanding Carbink to set up a Reflect.

Finn wasn't far behind, ordering Scizor to use Quick Attack to close the distance.

"Follow up with Bullet Punch!"

Scizor, a Pokémon that had evolved from Scyther using a Metal Coat, charged at Carbink with its metallic pincers, aiming a heavy blow.

Victor instructed Carbink to counter with Dazzling Gleam, a Fairy-type move.

Finn couldn't suppress a laugh. "You've got to be kidding me. Don't you know Fairy-types are weak against Steel?"

Victor responded calmly, "Why don't you take a closer look?"

Despite the type disadvantage, Carbink's Dazzling Gleam collided with Scizor's Bullet Punch, holding its ground.

"How is this possible?! My elite-level Scizor is being pushed back by a Carbink?!"

No matter how swift Scizor's movements were, its power was being overpowered by Carbink's sheer force.

In just moments, Carbink and Scizor exchanged dozens of blows, their attacks reverberating through the battlefield. Finally, Scizor retreated, hopping backward to escape Carbink's relentless pressure.

Finn's earlier confidence was now replaced with embarrassment. He had bragged about crushing Victor, yet the reality of the battle was proving the opposite.

As Finn hesitated, Victor decided it was time to end things.

"Carbink, charge up and use Meteor Beam at full power!"

The battlefield seemed to light up as cosmic starlight surrounded Carbink, its body glowing brilliantly. Energy gathered at the tip of its crystals, preparing for a devastating attack.

"What kind of move is that?!" Finn exclaimed, alarmed. He could sense the danger.

"Scizor, use Agility to dodge!"

Scizor moved at lightning speed, becoming a blur as it darted around the battlefield.

Victor, however, had anticipated this. Using his aura powers, he guided Carbink to lock onto Scizor's movements.

Moments later, Carbink unleashed a brilliant energy beam, striking Scizor directly in mid-air.

The sheer power of the Meteor Beam sent Scizor crashing to the ground, its body smoldering from the impact.

"The battle is over. Scizor is unable to fight. The winners are Victor and Carbink!"

As the referee Rotom announced the results, Finn fell to his knees, unable to accept his defeat.

Victor, however, paid him no mind. Returning Carbink to its Poké Ball, he calmly walked out of Battlefield No. 13, leaving his opponent to reflect on the lesson he had just learned.
