Pokemon - A real story

That was a powerful shot from Pawniard. Aron flew and crashed to the ground. The impact created a loud banging noise like an explosion. Nobody knew what had happened to Aron.

It took some time and finally the dust and smoke cleared. Everyone could see that Aron was trying its best to stand up and be ready to fight. It had multiple cuts on its body and there was a big deep cut on its stomach.

Finally, it could not hold it in and fell to the ground. It had fainted.

"Aron is down. Pawniard wins!!!"

The crowd cheered. It was an epic victory. Even though Pawniard was weaker than Aron, it had still won with sheer determination. Everybody loved it when an underdog won.

"So, this concludes the common rank Pokemon battle. Let's give Pawniard a round of applause for such a fabulous victory.", said the commentator.

The doctors came and they started to treat both of them. Even though Pawniard won this battle, its injuries were not less compared to Aron. It had only won because it refuse to lose.

"Now, we will take an hour's break and start the uncommon rank Pokemon battle.", said the commentator but he didn't stop there.

"Now, the uncommon rank Pokemon battle is really interesting this time. There are some Pokemons that have been trained by genius around the world and the Pokemons look very promising.

Before the start of the battle, let me show you who will be competing in the uncommon rank Pokemon battle."

Suddenly, the big screen started to show the names of the Pokemon and their trainers started to show off.

Blazekin (Lance) Rhydon (Lance) Machamp (Steven) Espeon (Cynthia) Blastoise (Axel) Magneton (Axel) Staraptor (Axel) Beedrill (Arjan) Kingler (Anjali)

There were 9 uncommon rank Pokemons that were going to battle. Battle till Rare rank was going to be finished today. Elemental rank would be held tomorrow. Pseudo-king rank and part of tier 1 king rank would be held on the third day. The last 2 days were for only king rank Pokemons and pseudo-champion-rank Pokemons.

This was done because the battle between weaker Pokemon didn't last longer. So, the battle would be over soon enough.

This round was interesting because the genius from other regions were also participating in it. Even though the final victor would be the winner of pseudo-champion rank.

The first round of the uncommon-rank Pokemon battle was not so interesting. Beedrill and Kingler got eliminated. The poor Kingler got matched up with Magneton. Lance's Rhydon also suffered the same fate with Blastoise.

Blazekin faced Machamp of Steven and through sheer determination, Blazekin won. It was very close. Espeon got a pass and it was qualified for the next round.

And Magneton got a pass.

Cynthia's Espeon was far too powerful for Blazekin to handle. Even though it was healed, it was still facing some stamina depletion and it lost.

The interesting battle for Axel was the second battle. He wanted to see how good Staraptor was against Blastoise.

Both of them looked at each other as if they were eternal rivals. Starptor wanted to win this battle and become the champion but that didn't mean that Blastoise would give up so fast. It didn't care about the competition but it did care about its reputation.

"Are you both ready?"

None of them said anything and only starred at each other. Referee gave a big sigh and said, "Let the battle begin!!"

In an instant, Staraptor flew into the sky and Blastoise used the move 'Aqua ring' and 'Iron defense' to get ready.

Staraptor look a stance on the air and fired up a powerful 'Flamethrower'. The move had been upgrade past level 40 and it was now stronger than before.

Blastoise immediately used the move 'Withdraw' to block the attack. With the help of 'Iron defense' and also 'Withdraw', it didn't suffer much damage.

This was understandable. His Blastoise was known for defense and Staraptor was not very good in special attack.

One of its strategies was to fly high and then use 'Flamethrower' to win the battle but with Blastoise's strong defense, this strategy had already failed. It didn't have unlimited stamina to win this way.

It gave a loud roar and its body was now covered in red flames. Those flames started to spread out on the surrounding. It looked like a very mini storm of raging fire.

This was 'Heat wave' which had been upgraded. But Staraptor didn't end there. It also used the move 'Sunny day' to further improve the power of fire type moves.

After that, it used the move 'Flamethrower' again on Blastoise.

Blatoise gave a powerful roar and it send out a powerful 'Hydro pump' on Staraptor. Both of the move clashed and it was a draw.

With 'Sunny day' and 'Heat wave', the fire power of Staraptor had increased a lot but Blastoise was known for its special attack. So, the move resulted in draw.

Staraptor had multiple moves planned. It immediately used the move 'Fiery aura' which improved its speed and physical attack power and it went directly towards Blastoise. Blastoise could not dodge the attack and it was hit by the move.

Blastoise was thrown off the ground and Staraptor also used the move 'Aerial ace' on Blastoise. It was hit again by the move.

Blastoise was slower than Staraptor and Staraptor was taking full advantage of it. But due to 'Iron defense' and 'Aqua ring', it was not injured to the point that it would faint.

After attacking it multiple times, Blastoise had already used all the effects of 'Aqua ring' and then it proceeded to use the move 'Life dew' to further heal itself. It was still in full health but defending would still consume a lot of stamina.

Blastoise's strategy was simple. It would just defend till Staraptor had consumed all of its stamina and then it would use its attack moves to deal with it.

This strategy had been successful before. Staraptor rarely won against it. But a month ago, something unusual had happened. Staraptor didn't challenge it saying that it would challenge it today.

It didn't think much of it till now.

But now, it could tell that something had changed on Staraptor. It was still going on and it was not tired like before. It could also tell that Staraptor was using its moves very sparingly. It could also be seen that the stamina of Staraptor had massively increased.

Finally, it had it. 'Aqua ring' and 'Life dew' had been used up and the effect of 'Iron defense' was also over. Being an uncommon rank Pokemon, it could not use those moves repeatedly as the moves had a long cooldown period. Especially, 'Aqua ring' and 'Life dew'.

So, it decided to use its signature move to finish the battle.

It used the move 'Rain dance'. Water started to fall from the sky.

Seeing such a move used, Staraptor remembered what Axel had said,

'Remember, terrain moves like 'Rain dance' might not seem powerful but they decide how the battle is handled. So, take extreme caution.'

So, it immediately used the move 'Heatwave' again. Since the move had already expired its use, it had to use the move again.

It was also a terrain move but the move had leveled up past level 40 and the cool down period of the move had just finished.

After using the move, the coldness of the rain decreased by a bit. But 'Rain dance' had still overpowered 'Heat wave'. Still, Staraptor was ready for anything.

The rain on from the sky had radically decreased and Axel could see that it was gathering on the clouds above.

Then, Blastoise gave a big roar, and all the water on the clouds poured and rushed towards Staraptor at a high speed.

This was 'Rain dance' combined with 'Surf'.

For the move 'Surf' to work, there must be a huge water body around. 'Rain dance' just did that.

A wave of water came rushing towards Staraptor. It was ready to face it. It immediately used the move 'Double team' to increase its speed and then it used the move 'Hurricane'.

A massive 'Whirlwind' appeared and it moved towards the raging wave of the water body.

Both of them clashed. Both of them were using their full power in this move and after a few seconds, the wave of water started to blend in the spinning hurricane and now it had mixed with it.

The power of the hurricane increased to a new level as it moved towards Blastoise.

Blastoise knew that it was fucked now.

It used the move 'Ice spinner'. It started to spin around and sharp shards of ice started to appear from its spinning and they moved towards the hurricane.

But the hurricane was very big to be stopped by that attack.

It then used the move 'Withdraw' and decided to block the attack.

BANG!!!

The power of that combined move was very high and Blastoise was flown 10s of meters away from its initial position.

After the attack ended, Blastoise stood up to fight again. Its whole body was covered in scars and blood was flowing out from its whole body but yet it stood up.

This showed how good Blastoise was in its defense. It extended its hand and pointed towards Staraptor and small bullets made of water came out of its hand that rushed towards Staraptor.

Those bullets were very fast and they hit Staraptor and then poof.

Staraptor disappeared from there. Then it realized what had happened but then it was hit on the back of its head and that was the last thing it remembered.

The Staraptor that it had hit was an image created by 'Double team'. 'Water bullets' was the move that it had specially created to deal with Staraptor.

Why?

Because the move was very fast. But it consumed a lot of stamina. That was why it was thinking to use it as a last resort but it could not fully utilize it.

"Blastoise is unable to battle, Staraptor wins and moves to the finals.", said the commentator.

Now, only Espeon, Staraptor, and Magneton were left. Since Espeon and Magneton were given a pass before, it was decided that they would battle now leaving Staraptor for the finals.

This was an anticipated battle. Because the fight was between Axel's Pokemon and Cynthia's Pokemon. Of course, they could not command the battle but it was still exciting to watch.

The battle was long and both of their Pokemons gave their all. Magneton was far more powerful than Espeon but Espeon had a very good battle mind and strategy. Yet, in the end, Magneton won the battle.

The people of Hakone City roared and cheered after seeing the result of the battle.

"The final would be held after an hour. Both of the finalists need some rest to get prepared. Why don't we…"

The commentator was busy talking and surprisingly, the crowd was interested in listening.

Meanwhile, Staraptor was proud that it had defeated Blastoise but Magneton was not an easy cookie.

Meanwhile, Lance, Cynthia, and Steven were discussing about Axel's Pokemons.
