Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Executing Saldeath

"Hey, punk, you got a death wish? Demanding money from us here?" The guards below the stage began shouting angrily at Rikuya.

"If I don't get my five million Berries today, things won't be so easy to settle," Rikuya replied coolly.

The moment he finished speaking, Saldeath leapt down from the upper level and landed on the arena floor. He immediately kicked the corpse of Number 38, sending it flying aside.

"Your opponent now is me. I want to make another bet with you," Saldeath said coldly, gripping his trident.

"Alright. What are the terms?"

"If I lose, I give you five million Berries. If you lose, you leave your life here."

"That sounds a little one-sided. What if I refuse the bet?" Rikuya asked, pretending to think it over.

"Then you'll still leave your life here," Saldeath answered darkly.

Hearing that, Rikuya immediately understood—he was now marked as a dangerous individual.

And in Impel Down, dangerous prisoners are either thrown into the lower levels or simply eliminated.

Clearly, Saldeath intended to kill him right here.

At that moment, Rikuya made up his mind. He no longer wanted to waste time earning Reputation Points through these small death matches. A few hundred points per fight was far too slow.

So, he decided to rely on Might Guy's power and go on a rampage through Impel Down.

To do that, his first target had to be Saldeath—the commander of the Level One ward.

"Fine. I accept the bet. But I want to raise the stakes."

"Oh? What do you propose?"

"If I lose, I die. But if you lose—you leave your life here too. Deal?"

"You'll never beat me. Die!" Saldeath shouted and lunged with his trident.

"You overestimate yourself. Leaf Body Flicker Technique!" Rikuya muttered.

As the trident was about to pierce his chest, his figure suddenly vanished.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared behind Saldeath.

"You're too slow."

Saldeath's heart skipped a beat. A wave of dread washed over him as he realized Rikuya had evaded him completely.

He quickly turned to strike again, but as he spun around, Rikuya's kick was already flying toward him.

"Dynamic Entry!"

This time, Rikuya didn't hold back. He poured all his power into his right leg, boosting it further with explosive speed.

As the kick connected with Saldeath's face, his expression twisted grotesquely.

Boom!

Saldeath was sent flying dozens of meters like a broken kite, crashing hard onto the cold stone floor.

The prisoners in the nearby cells stared in shock.

Then, almost instantly, cheers erupted from every corner.

Clearly, they were thrilled to see Saldeath get brutally beaten.

After all the torment he had inflicted on them, this moment of vengeance felt incredibly satisfying.

The nearby guards, stunned at first, quickly descended into panic.

"Stop him! Report to Chief Guard Sadi!" one of them shouted.

All guards in Impel Down were under Sadi's command. Saldeath only managed the Blue Gorillas.

Because the Blue Gorillas were notoriously dense, Saldeath had specifically requested a team to oversee the death matches.

And now, their first instinct was to inform Sadi, who was stationed on the fourth level.

Rikuya didn't stop the ones running to report—after all, the place was crawling with surveillance Den Den Mushi.

Like security cameras in the real world, they relayed everything to the control room.

So his defeat of Saldeath had undoubtedly been transmitted throughout the entire prison.

If he was going to overthrow Impel Down, he'd need to take down every guard one by one, starting from the top.

So rather than chase them, he'd let them come to him.

Just then, the system chimed again.

Ding. Congratulations, Host. You have defeated a powerful enemy and earned 5,000 Reputation Points.

Five thousand points from taking down Saldeath.

If he could kill Magellan, the warden, how many would he get? Tens of thousands?

In less than ten minutes, he had already earned 5,500 points—far beyond his expectations.

By now, reinforcements had arrived. Guards lined up in formation, guns trained on Rikuya.

"Fire!" someone shouted.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A flurry of bullets flew toward Rikuya.

"You think cheap tricks like that will work? Great Heavenly Dragon! Oops, wrong line. Let's try again! You think cheap tricks like that can stop me? Leaf Body Flicker Technique!"

With another flash of high-speed movement, Rikuya evaded the hail of bullets with ease.

Then he lunged straight at the front-line guards.

Thanks to the full inheritance of Might Guy's taijutsu and physical prowess, Rikuya's body was now incredibly agile and powerful.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A series of blows landed, and the guards collapsed like dominoes.

The prisoners in their cells went wild with excitement.

"Hey, man! Help us out! Let's bust out of here together!" someone shouted from an unseen cell.

That one voice sparked chaos. Inmates began slamming their bars with everything they had, the clanging echoing throughout Level One—Crimson Hell.

Rikuya glanced at a surveillance Den Den Mushi on the wall and grinned.

"Well, since you're all so eager… let's get this party started."
