The moment Rikuya finished speaking, he spun and launched a powerful kick straight at one of the cell doors.

Boom!

The steel-made cell door was blown off its hinges by a single kick.

Immediately, the prisoner inside rushed out, and the others quickly followed, swarming toward the fallen guards to snatch the keys from their belts.

Within just a few minutes, all the cells on the first level were unlocked!

Meanwhile, the guards in the surveillance room, upon witnessing the chaos, sprinted off to the warden's office on the fourth floor to report the situation.

Once the prisoners were freed, they all gathered around Rikuya.

Everyone knew full well that they wouldn't be able to escape on their own.

This man standing before them was their only hope.

"Brothers! If we don't take out the bastards down below, there's no way we're escaping from here. So, who's with me to fight our way down?" Rikuya shouted from the battle platform.

"We're with you!"

"Kill them all!"

The prisoners erupted with excitement.

They had been oppressed for far too long. There was no hope in Impel Down—death by torture was inevitable. So why not rise up and fight back?

With Rikuya's command, the massive group charged toward the second underground level.

Level 2: Beast Hell — This level held various violent monsters, including chicken-snakes, human-faced lions, and venomous scorpions.

The one in charge of this level was one of the guard beasts: Sphinx.

Sphinx looked like a lion, but with a hideously grotesque face—truly terrifying to behold.

When Rikuya and the horde of prisoners arrived, the Sphinx was still lazily napping.

"Cut those guard beasts to pieces!" someone yelled, pointing at the small hippos, giant mantises, and scorpion-beast hybrids up ahead.

In the next moment, the prisoners opened fire with the guns and ammo they had taken from Level One.

As explosions rang out, dozens of guard beasts fell to the ground!

This only spurred the prisoners on. They charged forward with renewed fury.

The noise and chaos finally woke the Sphinx.

When it saw so many prisoners freed and rioting, it let out a thunderous roar and charged straight into the crowd!

Panic broke out immediately. Several inmates were torn apart by the creature's fangs.

Even when others fired bullets at it, the rounds failed to pierce its hide—it was that tough.

No wonder it had been assigned to suppress Beast Hell.

With the Sphinx on the scene, the guard beast forces launched a fierce counterattack.

Seeing this, Rikuya didn't hesitate. He leapt high into the air, stepping on the heads of the prisoners like stepping stones as he rushed the Sphinx.

Once he reached the monster's side, he muttered:

"First Gate: Gate of Opening!"

The Gate of Opening was the first of the Eight Gates. It unlocked the brain's restraints and unleashed 100% of one's physical power—boosting speed and attack at the cost of stamina.

With this gate activated, Rikuya could now unleash the Front Lotus (Omote Renge) taijutsu technique.

Sensing Rikuya's approach, the Sphinx opened its massive jaws, trying to swallow him whole.

"You wanna eat me? Take this! Front Lotus!"

Rikuya swung his leg upward, landing a powerful kick to the Sphinx's chin.

The Sphinx never expected such a move and was struck cleanly, sent flying into the air.

Then, using his teleportation technique, Rikuya appeared midair, grabbed the creature, and slammed it into the ground at high speed.

BOOOOM!

The Sphinx's skull hit the stone floor so hard that it left a massive crater.

The impact knocked it out instantly.

Ding! "Congratulations, Host. You have defeated a powerful enemy and earned 3,000 Reputation Points."

The Sphinx wasn't as strong as Saldeath, so the reward was slightly lower.

Still, after seeing the fearsome creature get taken down in one blow, the remaining guard beasts were utterly shocked—some even turned to flee.

The prisoners, on the other hand, were electrified by Rikuya's display and charged forward with wild momentum.

But those guard beasts that tried to flee toward Level Three were soon stopped dead in their tracks—by several massive creatures coming up from the lower floor.

A moment later, a woman emerged from between the towering beasts.

She had curly blond hair with bangs covering her eyes, wore white candle-shaped earrings, and a tight-fitting pink leather outfit.

This was Sadi, commander of the four massive guard beasts of Level Four: Blazing Hell—and the chief jailer of Impel Down.

Sadi pointed her trident toward the retreating beast-guards and commanded coldly:

"Anyone who takes one more step back… will be executed on the spot!"

As soon as she spoke, the four giant guard beasts behind her stepped forward.

Faced with her wrath, the smaller beast-guards trembled in terror.

They feared Rikuya, but they were absolutely terrified of Sadi, who was infamous for her cruelty.

Left with no choice, the beast-guards turned back and charged at the advancing prisoners once more.

But now, the inmates were on a rampage.

The beast-guards stood no chance.

Within moments, they were all slaughtered.

Soon after, the two sides finally met in the middle of Level Two.

Although Sadi was on a completely different level from the Sphinx, her fearsome presence made the prisoners hesitate instinctively.

They stopped dead in their tracks—because they knew, this time… things were about to get even bloodier.
