Naruto: I Draw Power Into Reality

Chapter 40: Chapter 40: Grab the manga and go home

"Try to finish drawing up to Chapter Ten today, then deliver it to Izumi Yamano."

Back at home, Akaba created Multiple Shadow Clones. He gave his clones a small task before ignoring their resentful glares and casually lying down to rest.

This was the first time in days he had actually gotten onto a real bed—he had barely managed to fall asleep late at night during those days on the road due to exhaustion.

"Two chapters is too much! I alone can't finish that many."

One of the clones complained.

"Don't worry. Later, I'll create more. Right now, I'm just too wiped—making another might knock me out cold, and then all of you would vanish anyway."

Akaba wore a tired look, but how could the clones not understand exactly what was going on?

In reality, he hadn't really done much work these past few days—just running around here and there.

Ultimately, he was just plain lazy!

The clone just rolled its eyes internally, way too annoyed to even bother commenting on Akaba's laziness anymore.

An arm can't overpower a whole leg—you can't fight the odds. Whether it's one or two clones, the workload remains the same; the only difference would be that progress on the manga slows down slightly.

But Akaba wasn't lying. After resting a bit, he did indeed produce a second clone.

"Should we go pay Grandma Mito a visit?"

"Forget it. After several days of travel, I'm beat, and besides, matters in the Land of Whirlpools don't concern me. Not my problem anymore."

While returning earlier, Akaba had been thinking about visiting Mito Uzumaki to talk about Kazama, but as soon as his back hit the bed, he immediately gave up the idea.

Going outside was just way too tiring.

Meanwhile, at the Senju clan's territory, Kazama, having received certain "accidental hints," arrived here and presented the Token from his caravan.

"Honored sir, may I ask you to present this Token? Kazama humbly requests an audience with the princess."

Kazama bowed respectfully and handed the Token to the ninja guarding the entrance of the estate, his expression earnest.

"You're looking for Lady Mito?"

"Just a moment."

The Senju ninja glanced at him briefly, surprised recognition flashing across his eyes. He quickly took the token and vanished.

A few seconds later, he reappeared.

"Lady Mito is resting. She will see you in a few minutes."

He said indifferently.

"I understand."

Kazama remained respectfully standing, not daring to move carelessly.

Mito Uzumaki, the princess of the Land of Whirlpools, was currently the strongest living member of the Uzumaki clan.

However,

as the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, she was destined to live confined within Konoha Village. The moment she stepped beyond its borders, not only would Konoha's leadership lose sleep, but even the Kage from other villages might begin tossing and turning at night.

Because she represented the most terrifying fighting strength in the Ninja World today.

Inside a small courtyard, Mito Uzumaki and Tsunade sat quietly together.

"That little punk came back from outside and didn't even have the decency to mention paying me a visit?"

Mito Uzumaki let out a cold snort.

"He went straight home. Trying to wait for him to come willingly? That might not be easy."

Tsunade thought for a moment but couldn't come up with a way to get Akaba to come by on his own.

"Hmph. You mean it won't just be difficult—it's probably impossible, right?"

Mito sneered softly, then became somewhat puzzled.

"But why did that brat show up so early last time?"

"Grandma, honestly, I have no idea."

Tsunade shook her head. She'd been just as stunned then—Akaba had actually left the house early, despite having no lessons scheduled.

"Don't talk about him. When the second manga volume comes out, be a good granddaughter and remember to buy me a copy."

Mito Uzumaki said with a gentle smile.

"That's no problem. But what about that person outside? Shouldn't we respond?"

Just as the token was passed over, she saw it clearly—it definitely belonged to the caravan responsible for trade between the Senju and Uzumaki clans.

"Let him think calmly. It will also save my time."

Mito leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes briefly.

She knew the Uzumaki Clan's problems all too well—but solving them seemed impossible.

Suddenly thinking of the manga, she said,

"Good granddaughter, go bring that manga out."

Tsunade blinked, confused. "But I've already read it a few times—why bring it out again?"

Still, following Mito Uzumaki's command, she immediately agreed, rushing inside and returning with the first volume of the manga.

After receiving the manga, Mito opened the first page.

"Nine-Tails Beast… Naruto Uzumaki… Hmph. How far the Uzumaki Clan has fallen—now even their own descendants don't understand sealing techniques anymore!"

Mito chuckled slightly as she flipped open the first page, though her expression quickly turned more solemn.

If this was indeed a hypothesis—

"Tsunade, let Kazama in."

She closed the book, straightened herself, her thoughts drifting endlessly.

If the hypothesis proved correct, it wouldn't just be the Uzumaki Clan facing a devastating blow—the entire Land of Whirlpools would too.

Soon afterward, Tsunade led Kazama into the small courtyard.

When Kazama saw Mito Uzumaki, he was first taken aback, then filled with astonishment. A few seconds later, realizing his rudeness, he knelt down to beg forgiveness. "My lady, I only realized you haven't aged a bit and lost my composure for a moment."

"No worries. I haven't been a princess for a long time now."

Mito Uzumaki said lightly. "Stand up first. Sit and speak properly."

"Yes, thank you, My lady."

Kazama noticed Mito Uzumaki's ageless beauty, feeling even greater reverence without daring to show any disrespect.

"You're from the merchant caravan traveling between the Land of Whirlpools and Konoha?"

Holding the token in her hand, Mito played with it briefly before asking.

"Yes, our branch manages the trade route connecting Uzumaki Village and Konoha, maintaining their commercial link."

Kazama replied.

"You didn't come seeking an audience purely for business reasons, did you?"

Mito set the token aside.

If it were only about commerce, the Senju clan's token would have been sufficient for them to remain safe temporarily in Konoha—there would be no need to come seeking out an elderly woman who had long since stepped away from public affairs.

"Not hiding anything, My lady. This time, I'm here hoping for your assistance—helping Uzumaki Village, helping the Land of Whirlpools."

As Kazama spoke, he dropped to his knees once again, bowing as he talked.

"Oh?"

Mito leaned back, eyes narrowing slightly.

"The Land of Whirlpools is currently swarming with rogue ninjas from other countries—one group deliberately sent by enemy nations, others intentionally seeking refuge here because they know about the chaos there."

"Even when Uzumaki ninja provide protection, like the three chunin recently assigned, they've still been wiped out every time."

Kazama spilled everything while crying — being hunted by ninja was terrifying enough for someone like him. He told Mito Uzumaki everything that had happened in full detail.

"I remember before, jonin always led the protection teams," Mito said, flipping the manga open and shut over and over again.

"Yes, but all the jonin have gone to eliminate rogue ninja," Kazama explained.

To be honest, though, he didn't think even jonin could protect them effectively, since their enemies had deployed one jonin and four or five chunin. This was clearly a premeditated rogue ninja operation.

After a long pause, she straightened up and said, "The Senju clan has already withdrawn from Konoha's management. I can't interfere with Konoha's decisions."

When Kazama heard that, hope drained completely from him. He slumped onto the ground, his face pale.

"But you can take this manga to the leader of the Uzumaki clan. He might understand what I mean," she added. "Also, here's a suggestion: you'd better hire one or two ninja squads for protection. Otherwise, I don't think you'll survive to return to the Land of Whirlpools."

Mito spoke very bluntly. Word would spread fast once Kazama arrived in Konoha — certain groups would find out soon enough. If he left with the caravan, enemy assassins would definitely strike immediately — assuming her guess was correct.

He stood there dazed for a moment before opening the book to the first page. Kazama had originally assumed it was some military strategy treatise, but upon opening it, he found only a record formatted as illustrated drawings. Looking carefully, he saw how all these pictures connected together, seemingly telling a story.

But what did it mean?

With his limited understanding, he couldn't grasp its meaning at all. He could only tuck the book into his robe for now, planning to show it to the wise Uzumaki clan leader later when returning home.

"If there's nothing else, you may go now. The Senju clan can no longer offer assistance," Mito said helplessly.

It wasn't that the Senju were powerless — those who wanted the Uzumaki destroyed weren't just one village or country, but every nation and ninja village possessing bijū. How could a single clan or village possibly challenge the entire world?

Sighing heavily, Kazama slowly took his leave.

"If only Hashirama were still alive... maybe we'd still have a chance..." Mito sighed sadly. If Hashirama Senju were still alive, which ninja village across the world would dare provoke them?

But he was gone — forever.
