Naruto: I Draw Power Into Reality

Chapter 41: Chapter 41: Business Expansion – Land of Whirlpools

"Why do I have to go on another mission? Three days ago I got back, and now I barely even rested a damn day!"

"Akaba, it's already the third day."

Shiso felt a bit embarrassed—it wasn't easy dealing with this lazybones' rage.

Beside him, Sakuma stood gripping his sword, burning with fighting spirit.

Akaba took a deep breath, telling himself not to get angry, then asked, "Any good news?"

"Yeah! Kazama bought a whole cartload of manga this time."

Shiso honestly delivered the so-called "good news."

"Kazama? So this mission is all his doing again, huh? Should've never saved that guy in the first place."

Akaba couldn't help but groan. He thought drawing manga would make life easier, not drag him into one mission after another.

"Oh right, there's another piece of good news."

At this point, Sakuma cut in, "This time, we're going on the mission with Team Six."

"Huh?"

Akaba looked at Sakuma with obvious confusion.

Seeing his expression, Sakuma seemed baffled as he asked, "You don't know about you and Tsunade…"

"Don't even joke about that! Am I supposed to be happy every time I'm on a mission with Tsunade? If that were true, wouldn't I run into her every time I stepped outside anyway!"

Akaba shot back, leaving the two boys speechless.

After thinking about it, they realized—he actually had a point.

For a second, Shiso just stood there, speechless.

"This time, I won't be joining your mission. Would that count as good news for you?"

Just then, a voice reached their ears.

Danzo?

Akaba's heart slightly jolted. All three turned simultaneously to see Danzo materializing before them.

"Teacher, aren't you going to the Land of Whirlpools?"

Shiso asked in surprise.

"Tsk. With both the Hokage and Anbu Commander heading toward the Land of Whirlpools, the Land of Water and Kiri probably won't sleep soundly anymore."

After coldly uttering these words, Danzo vanished again in an instant.

Previously, only one of the Hokage or Danzo would go. Akaba hadn't expected the Hokage himself to personally take charge while the Anbu Commander stayed behind in Konoha.

"So does that mean the Hokage himself will be leading our mission?"

Even Sakuma was shocked.

The Hokage himself leading the mission to the Land of Whirlpools? That's huge!

"But then why do I have to go too?"

Yet Akaba felt something was off. If Hiruzen Sarutobi was personally leading the mission, then Team Six alone should be enough—why did their team need to go as well?

"Don't guess randomly. You'll understand everything once we meet the Hokage."

Grabbing the reluctant Akaba, Shiso started heading from the Sakuma Clan's estate toward Konoha's main gate.

Within a week, this was the second time Akaba had come to this gate voluntarily.

Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya were already waiting here when Akaba's group arrived. Just then, Hiruzen Sarutobi approached together with Kazama's caravan. Yesterday, the rest of Kazama's caravan had also reached Konoha Village.

"Are you Sakuma Akaba, sir?"

"Thank you sincerely for saving me the other day, Kazama..."

Kazama scanned the area with his eyes, immediately spotting the clearly unwilling boy. The Third had told him specifically—whomever looked the most unwilling must be Akaba.

"You old geezer, I saved you out of kindness, yet you're dragging me into another mission?"

Akaba muttered discontentedly.

Though unsure exactly what "mission" meant, Kazama could still tell what Akaba was griping about.

Chuckling awkwardly, Kazama scratched his head, temporarily at a loss for how to respond.

"Akaba, this is my command."

Hiruzen Sarutobi said calmly while puffing on his pipe.

"Hokage-sama, I just returned not long ago."

"This time, you'll travel to the Land of Whirlpools under the identity of a manga author, accompanying the caravan. Sakumo and Shiso will go with you for protection."

Before Akaba could finish complaining, Hiruzen directly interrupted with an order.

Concerning Uzumaki Village, he didn't want to waste more words.

"Alright then, but I'm physically weak. Continuous traveling has already become unbearable for me. I want to ride in a carriage."

When Akaba added, "A manga author needs the dignity appropriate for his status."

"Agreed."

Hiruzen conceded without insisting Akaba must travel on foot.

This guy could be totally stubborn when it came to lazing around. At least now he was willing to go; if he refused, Akaba would simply turn around and head back.

Fortunately, Kazama had managed to gather some spare carriages from several clans in Konoha, otherwise they probably wouldn't have enough.

After finalizing their arrangements, the group quickly departed with the caravan bound for the Land of Whirlpools.

Akaba created a Shadow Clone to continue drawing, while he himself comfortably settled onto a seat inside the carriage, quietly observing his walking companions outside.

"Move faster! This is training, cultivation!"

"Why do only I have to jump around practicing while Akaba gets to ride in a carriage? I'm also going to become a manga author! That's not fair!"

Jiraiya's roar echoed through the forest.

"What strength does Akaba possess and what strength do you possess? If you don't cultivate seriously, do you want to get killed once we arrive at the Land of Whirlpools?"

Hiruzen replied irritably.

"Ahhhh, Master, please tell the clone to stop first, I admit my mistake, I'll train!"

While complaining, Jiraiya already got caught by his clone and received a thorough beating.

Although it was merely an Earth Clone without much power, its Taijutsu alone proved more than sufficient to deal with Jiraiya.

"Come to think of it, I wonder how far along Jiraiya's artistic studies have progressed."

Upon hearing Jiraiya's agonized cries, Akaba couldn't help but remember Jiraiya's sketches.

Of course,

he currently had zero interest in that kind of thing—his nine-year-old body needed all its energy for growth, not that kind of nonsense. Moreover, Jiraiya's painting skills genuinely failed to interest him.

The caravan wasn't fast, but for Akaba it was perfect—he could draw while watching the others suffer through brutal training. Life was good.

Moreover, when reaching the border, Akaba had already completed the content for Chapter Eleven.

In chapter eleven, there was an extremely powerful new item available for purchase—the [Semi-Sage Body Constitution].

[Semi-Sage Body Constitution (Half Immortal)]: A hereditary trait passed down through the Uzumaki clan, possessing multiple abilities, fully unlocked requires 4000 points.

Yes, four thousand points!

This was the most expensive redemption item Akaba had ever seen, yet considering its rarity, it wasn't surprising after all.

However, what surprised Akaba was that this item allowed installment payments.

The Uzumaki clan's constitution provided four formidable abilities—extraordinary vitality, chakra, sensing, and healing.

Naruto's removal of poison by forcibly slicing open his own infected bloodstream with a kunai, with his hands recovering within seconds, demonstrated the manifestation of powerful vitality.

If possible, Akaba definitely wanted to purchase the vitality ability first—it was a crucial survival safeguard.

However, even though Akaba could split and redeem points, he still didn't have enough Points in his account and could only wait for the release of Volume 2.

Volume 2 of *Naruto Ninja* had already been sent to the arms factory for printing. The follow-up distribution would be fully handled by the Sakuma clan.

Once Volume 2 officially launched, along with the more than two hundred Points he currently had plus business from Uzumaki Village, maybe he'd finally have enough Points to redeem one technique.

But here came the problem: in Chapter 12, [Sharingan], [Mist Jutsu], [Water Clone Jutsu], and [Silent Killing Jutsu] would all appear again. No matter how he crunched the numbers, there still wouldn't be enough Points.

"I hope the ninja from Uzumaki Village can contribute some Points. Otherwise, I might have to work overtime and start rushing Volume 3 too."

Akaba let out a soft sigh, feeling utterly helpless.

Thinking about it, traveling to the Land of Whirlpools didn't seem that bad after all. After all, Kazama barely understood manga and definitely couldn't rival his marketing abilities.

He just hoped The Third wouldn't mess things up and give him some random mission this time.
