Chapter 189: Chapter 189
"Close!"
Otsutsuki Hamura clapped his hands together, and the seal of [Six Paths Planetary Devastation] stabilized, restoring its original power.
With that done, Hamura let out a slow breath and turned his gaze toward Earth. Now, he needed to confirm if the so-called "tyrant" was truly sealed away. Would things play out the way that man had claimed?
Meanwhile, within the depths of the sealed space, Uchiha Shin floated in the endless darkness, his arms crossed as his crimson Rinnegan gleamed.
Since he had been sealed mid-battle, his strength remained intact, and the Truth-Seeking Orbs hovered beneath him, shifting according to his will. However, the most frustrating part was that even the Truth-Seeking Orbs couldn't shatter the confines of this space.
"Tch. Guess I'll just try everything until something works."
With a thought, Shin's Rinnegan spun as he activated [Kamui]. Space twisted violently before him—
—and nothing happened.
"Yeah, figured. If escaping was this easy, Kaguya would've broken out long ago."
Even the [Flying Thunder God] was useless. Though he could still sense his anchor points, the teleportation itself was blocked.
Sighing, he decided to check something.
"Oi, Tsunade, can you hear me?"
Back in the Hokage's office, Tsunade, buried in paperwork, groaned in frustration. Without even looking up, she responded lazily.
"What do you want now? I'm busy. If you have time to be annoying, come help me with these damn reports."
Hearing her voice, Shin smirked. Well, at least that worked. Being able to communicate with the outside world meant he wasn't completely cut off.
"Ahem. So, bad news—I'm sealed. Can't come back."
There was silence.
Then the distinct sound of a chair scraping against the floor.
"…The hell do you mean you're sealed?" Tsunade muttered, now staring blankly out the window. "You just wiped out Uchiha Shisui's entire bloodline a few days ago. I'm still dealing with the fallout from that, and now you're telling me you got sealed? By who?"
Shin rubbed the back of his head, exhaling. "Well… I may have, uh, tampered with Kaguya Otsutsuki's seal. And Hamura may have—well—overreacted."
A long, tired sigh came from the other end.
"…You absolute dumbass."
Tsunade pinched the bridge of her nose before slumping back in her chair. Truthfully, she wasn't even that surprised.
Still, she quickly assessed the situation. Even without Shin, the Land of Fire wasn't in immediate danger. Thanks to his 'adjustments' to their physiology and the presence of the Ryuuchi Cave's Dragon Princesses, their military power was leagues above the other nations. Shin's absence was an inconvenience, but not a crisis.
"Huh. Turns out you being around or not doesn't really change much," she muttered.
Shin clicked his tongue. "Hey, screw you."
"So, how do we get your dumbass out of there? You're on the freakin' moon. This is peak bullshit."
Tsunade walked to the window, staring up at the pale celestial body where her husband was now imprisoned. As ridiculous as it sounded, it was reality.
Shin mulled over the options. "Alright, first thing—check if the spatial tunnel leading to the moon still exists."
"If it's there, I can try using the Cursed Seal of Rebirth on you to reappear from close range."
"If not… well, we'll have to take the long route."
Tsunade nodded. "Alright, I'll send a team. We'll start with that."
After briefing Mikoto on the situation and deploying a squad of Anbu to investigate, she turned back to their conversation. "So? You got any other tricks?"
Shin activated his Rinnegan again and whispered, "[Izanagi]. Rewrite reality."
His body flickered—
—and he remained exactly where he was.
"Tch. Guess I can't 'rewrite' myself out of this one," he muttered, clicking his tongue in irritation.
If only he had a time-based eye technique. [Izanagi] was powerful, but something that could stop or rewind time for even a few seconds? That would've been the real game-changer.
"Spatial techniques are blocked. Maybe physical ones could work," he muttered. Then, a new thought struck him. "Wait… I can still send chakra messages to you. If I pass my chakra through you using a Cursed Seal, could I reincarnate myself outside the seal?"
A solid idea. But the issue? He'd have to die first.
And frankly, he wasn't in that much of a hurry.
For now, he had time.
His gaze shifted towards the slumbering figure floating nearby.
Kaguya Otsutsuki.
The Mother of Chakra. The progenitor of all shinobi. And right now? Just another prisoner, trapped in the same cage as him.
As Shin floated toward her, he took a moment to appreciate her features up close. Her long, silvery-white hair cascaded far past her body, her two horns curving elegantly from her head. Her delicate face, untouched by time, remained as ethereal as ever.
Her skin was pale, luminous, untouched by imperfection. The black tomoe patterns adorning her flowing white robes stood in sharp contrast against her ivory flesh. Her kimono, though loose-fitting, hinted at the toned physique beneath—soft curves yet undeniable strength.
And that waist.
A waist so absurdly perfect that Shin had to fight the urge to place his hands around it just to feel the contrast between her soft skin and her lean, powerful frame.
She was a goddess. And even sealed, she remained stunningly beautiful.
"Tch. Almost makes you forget she tried to wipe out humanity," Shin muttered.
He had no intention of waking her up just yet. But… studying her? That, he could do.
After all, if he had to be stuck in this damn seal, he might as well make use of his time.
Back on Earth, Tsunade rubbed her temples in frustration. "Mikoto, you heard all that?"
The Uchiha matriarch nodded, arms crossed. "Unfortunately."
"This bastard is way too calm about being trapped in another dimension."
Mikoto exhaled, adjusting the headband resting against her forehead. "It's Shin. If he's not panicking, it means he already has an idea of how to escape."
"Or," Tsunade muttered, rubbing her temples again, "he's too stupid to realize how deep in shit he really is."
Mikoto sighed. "That, too."
With the Anbu squad moving toward the possible entrance and Shin still looking for another way out, the game was on.
The only question was how long it would take before Shin got bored and did something even dumber.
Tsunade could only pray that wouldn't be anytime soon
