Chapter 190: Chapter 190
Uchiha Shin narrowed his eyes, staring at the unconscious form of Kaguya Otsutsuki. He let out a breath, scoffing to himself.
"How could she not wear it?" He muttered, shaking his head. "I was about to criticize her, but... seems like she never had the concept of underwear or fabric strips in her time."
His crimson Sharingan gleamed as he analyzed her. Kaguya's white kimono was thick, her power formidable enough to keep others at bay. To her, clothing was likely a trivial concern. It wouldn't make a difference whether she wore it or not.
From the structure of the Otsutsuki Clan, their genetic makeup, and the appearance of her offspring, Uchiha Shin was certain—Kaguya had given birth. The Otsutsuki resembled humans closely enough, and he was confident in his assessment.
"Then again, considering her power..." Shin mused, tapping his chin. "Creating life is nothing more than molding chakra. She probably split her own chakra and formed Hamura and Hagoromo like that."
A smirk crossed his lips as he reached out, sliding his fingers lightly across her lower abdomen. Her skin was unnaturally smooth, like silk, cool yet radiating a strange warmth. He injected a sliver of his chakra into her, attempting to form a seal of his own.
The moment his chakra entered her body, a violent pulse of energy repelled him. Kaguya's body trembled, the rejection of foreign chakra triggering an instinctive response. Her breathing shifted, and her fingers twitched slightly.
"Such a sensitive reaction," Shin remarked with mild amusement. He remained unmoved, showing no fear. Even if she woke up now, he knew her power was still sealed. He had the upper hand.
Then, her eyelids fluttered, and with a slow, deliberate movement, she opened her pale, pupil-less eyes.
For a moment, she simply stared, her mind sluggish as if she had been lost in an endless slumber. Then, recognition flickered in her gaze.
"Hamura...? Hagoromo...?"
Her voice was soft at first, carrying a motherly warmth. But as her awareness sharpened, her expression hardened, becoming icy and unyielding.
"Who are you?" Kaguya's voice turned sharp as her Byakugan focused on Shin. "You are not Yoru and the others... but you possess their power."
She scanned him, her gaze piercing through his very essence. Then, she noticed it—her clothes, torn at the edges.
A faint blush spread across her snow-white skin, a flicker of embarrassment appearing for the first time. Instinctively, she pulled her sleeves over her body, using chakra to mend the damage. Her head snapped up, her expression a mixture of fury and disbelief.
Uchiha Shin had taken a step back, his smirk deepening.
She was a member of the Otsutsuki Clan—an ancient being untouched by mortal concerns. She had never known intimacy, never been close to another in such a way. His actions, no matter how small, had crossed a line in her mind.
Chakra flared violently around her. A single crack split open on her forehead, the symbol of her third eye attempting to reveal itself, but the seal placed upon her kept it from fully emerging.
Shin's gaze flickered with curiosity. "So, even in this state, you can still react like that."
Kaguya, realizing her power was still bound, clenched her fists. Anger and confusion warred within her.
"I... am still sealed?" Her voice wavered, and then it hit her.
She turned her gaze toward Shin, her mind spiraling. Who was this man? He had an Otsutsuki presence, but he was unfamiliar.
Then a terrifying thought struck her.
"Did the Otsutsuki send you to kill me?!" Her voice shook as her paranoia took hold.
Fear flickered in her pale eyes. She had always dreaded the possibility of the Otsutsuki discovering her betrayal. That was why she had devoured the chakra fruit—to prepare for the inevitable.
In the beginning, Hamura and Hagoromo had simply been tools, created for war. But over time, maternal affection had crept in.
And yet, in the end, her own children had betrayed her. They had sealed her away.
The weight of these memories pressed down on her. Panic overtook reason.
Then, without warning—
She turned and ran.
Shin's expression twisted into sheer disbelief. "You've gotta be kidding me..."
Kaguya Otsutsuki—The Rabbit Goddess, the progenitor of chakra, the feared being who had defied gods—was running away.
His Sharingan spun rapidly, capturing her every movement. She had mistaken him for an assassin sent by the Otsutsuki higher-ups. Instead of standing her ground, she had bolted without thinking.
"She really is an idiot," Shin muttered, his face scrunching in disappointment.
Her logic was so flawed that it almost hurt to witness. If the Otsutsuki truly had come for her, why would he also be inside the seal? Why wouldn't they have freed her first to interrogate her?
But no—her panicked mind hadn't even considered that possibility.
Shin sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Tch. I guess I'll have to deal with this first."
With a flick of his wrist, several orbs of condensed chakra floated around him, humming with energy.
"Enough running, Kaguya," he muttered, forming a seal. "Bansho Ten'in."
An invisible force yanked Kaguya backward, pulling her straight into his grasp. She barely had time to react before his fingers dug into her wrist, locking her in place.
She spun, her blue-white hair whipping around her like a storm.
"Let go!" she hissed, channeling her remaining power. "Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Palm Rotation!"
A burst of chakra exploded outward, forcing Shin to release her. He skidded back, the ground cracking beneath his feet.
"Tch. You still have that much left in the tank?"
Kaguya wasted no time. Her fingers wove intricate seals as her hair hardened, turning into razor-sharp spikes.
"Rabbit Hair Needle!"
A volley of deadly strands shot toward Shin, each glowing with chakra. His eyes tracked them effortlessly.
"Shinra Tensei."
A powerful repulsive force blasted outward, stopping the attack in its tracks. Kaguya's technique was nullified instantly.
She staggered, her breath heavy.
Shin tilted his head. "Not bad, but—"
He vanished in an instant.
A split second later, he appeared behind her, his palm raised.
"Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!"
The air trembled as his Truth-Seeking Orbs spun violently, forming a silver ring of destruction.
A powerful tornado erupted, swallowing Kaguya whole.
Her eyes widened in shock as the massive force wrapped around her, binding her in its grip.
Shin smirked. "You really thought you could run? Sorry, but I don't let my prey escape."
Kaguya thrashed against the storm, but the overwhelming force kept her locked in place.
Shin crossed his arms, watching as she struggled. "You'll wake up soon, Kaguya. Then, we'll have a nice, long chat."
Kaguya's furious scream echoed through the void
