I’m a Girl, He’s a Psycho, and This is Fine

Chapter 12: Chapter 5.1: Hidden Agendas

Shi Mu—or rather, Shi Mo—settled quickly into her new surroundings at Yingnan High School. Dressed in the boys' uniform with her newly cropped hair and tightly bound chest, she passed easily as a slender, somewhat aloof young man.

But beneath the calm exterior, her mind raced.

Everything had to be precise.

She wasn't here to attend school.

She was here to complete a mission—get close to Fu Yunshen and become sworn brothers. She needed his trust, his loyalty, and eventually, a bond deep enough to unlock the Brotherhood Panel.

And that meant getting into his world.

Yingnan High School had a notorious reputation.

While its academic standards were questionable, it was known for its loose discipline, ultra-rich student body, and unchecked power structures within its walls.

Class 15—where Shi Mo had been placed—was especially chaotic. It was home to the school's misfits, troublemakers, and those whom the administration had all but given up on.

But it also happened to be Fu Yunshen's class.

The first step? Blend in. The second? Find an opportunity to build rapport.

The dorm room was quiet.

Shi Mo unpacked her few belongings into the wardrobe, glanced at the neat arrangement on the other side of the room, and took a seat at her desk.

She knew Fu Yunshen would return soon. Their first meeting would set the tone—she had to get it right.

But hours passed, and the room remained empty.

By nightfall, Shi Mo was sprawled on her bed, one arm over her eyes, when the door creaked open.

Footsteps. Slow. Unhurried.

She opened her eyes.

A tall boy walked in, dressed in black casual clothes. His face was indifferent, expression unreadable. His dark eyes scanned the room briefly before landing on her.

Shi Mo sat up immediately.

Their eyes met.

She recognized him instantly. Though the manga had censored his face, the aura was unmistakable. Cold. Distant. Controlled.

Fu Yunshen.

He walked to his side of the room, said nothing, and began organizing his things. The silence was heavy.

Shi Mo debated her next move.

She couldn't come on too strong—but she also couldn't afford to be forgettable.

She stood, cleared her throat, and said, "Hey. I'm Shi Mo. Just transferred here."

No response.

Fu Yunshen continued folding a hoodie into the bottom drawer.

She hesitated, then added with a small grin, "Looks like we're roommates."

Still nothing.

It was like talking to a wall.

But she wasn't discouraged.

This was exactly how he was portrayed in the manga—emotionless, difficult to read, and slow to trust.

But not impossible.
