Chapter 23: Chapter 23

Got Pregnant ?

Samantha finally calmed down and stood up. The couple in front of her immediately became wary. Samantha turned and glared at them.

"A-are you okay?" the husband asked, shielding his wife, who was hiding behind him.

"I'm fine," Samantha replied curtly.

The wife stepped forward, reaching out to touch Samantha, seeing her body trembling. But "Slap!" Samantha swatted her hand away.

"Don't touch me right now," Samantha said.

"I-I'm so, so sorry," the wife stammered, terrified and on the verge of tears.

Samantha turned to look at the couple, who now stood beside her. Both flinched, but then they saw Samantha, tears streaming down her blood-smeared face, looking terrified.

"Are you really okay?" the husband asked again.

"I-I'll call an ambulance, okay?" the wife added.

"No need, I'm fine... Sorry to bother you... Excuse me," Samantha replied.

Without another word, Samantha walked away, heading back to the cafe where she'd left her car, leaving the couple hugging and staring after her. As she walked down the sidewalk, almost every pedestrian she passed avoided her because her face and white clothes were covered in blood. A kiosk owner stood up and approached Samantha, putting a hand on her shoulder, but before he could speak,

"Aaaah... D-don't touch me!" Samantha cried, jumping sideways.

"Are you okay? What happened to you?" the kiosk owner asked, pulling his hand back.

"I-I'm fine... Excuse me," Samantha replied, walking away from the kiosk owner.

Samantha kept walking quickly until she finally saw her car in the distance and immediately tried to cross the street. But "BEEP!" A horn suddenly blared. "Screech!" A car stopped right next to Samantha. The driver got out and immediately ran towards Samantha, who looked incredibly messy in front of him.

"Hey... you okay?" the car driver asked.

"N-no, I'm fine... D-don't touch me," Samantha replied.

Suddenly, the driver, dressed in a long-sleeved shirt and tie, looked closely at Samantha's blood-stained face.

"Hey, you're Samantha, right? What happened to you?" the driver asked.

Hearing the driver say her name, Samantha turned. It was Mason, her gym buddy, who looked like he'd just finished lunch and was heading back to his office.

"Ma-Mason?" Samantha asked.

"What happened to you? Come on, let's go to the hospital, I'll take you," Mason replied, panicking at the sight of Samantha's blood-streaked face.

"N-no need, I'm fine. My car's just across the street," Samantha said, pointing to her car.

"Okay, I'll take you there. Let's go," Mason replied, taking Samantha gently by both upper arms.

Even though her body stiffened slightly when Mason touched her, she let him lead her across the street since she knew him. Her heart felt a little calmer than before. Mason signaled for other drivers to stop and let them cross. When they got to the other side, Mason immediately led Samantha to her car. "Whoa," seeing Samantha's luxury car, Mason unconsciously whistled and let go of her.

"Thanks, Mason," Samantha replied.

"No problem. You're really okay, right?" Mason asked, concerned.

"I'm fine, thanks again," Samantha replied.

"What actually happened to you?" Mason asked.

"Nothing, really... don't worry about it," Samantha replied.

Mason was silent for a moment, then he turned to look at his own car, which was still in the middle of the road. After that, he turned back to Samantha.

"Alright, I'll get going then. Call me if anything comes up, okay?" Mason said.

"Yeah, I will," Samantha replied curtly, hugging herself.

"Okay, I'm off, bye," Mason said.

Without waiting for a reply from Samantha, Mason turned and ran to his car. Samantha opened her car door and got in. Her trembling hands immediately gripped the steering wheel.

"Ugh... I can't drive like this, shaking so much," Samantha muttered to herself.

[Calm down, sir, you'll recover soon.]

"You seriously went too far, Hades, you practically killed me," Samantha muttered to herself.

[No, sir, I only gave you a quest.]

"Whatever, just don't talk for a bit," Samantha replied.

[Understood, sir.]

"Dimensional storage."

To cheer herself up, Samantha opened her dimensional storage to see what was inside.

============================================

Dimensional Storage:

- Elixir x 2 (cooldown: 28 days)

- Map data (self) x 1

- Rolex 116618 Submariner Yellow x 1

- Swap pregnancy card x1

- Mystery gift box x1

============================================

"Oh... a watch. But I'll check that later. I'm more curious about this,"

She pressed the Swap Pregnancy Card, and her hand glowed with a bright light. The light formed a card, about 5cm x 10cm, with an icon of two women and two boxes for writing names at the top.

"Hmm... interesting. This card can help Melissa," Samantha mumbled to herself.

But suddenly, the card emitted a very bright light, and Samantha's body immediately felt warm. After the light disappeared, the card in Samantha's hand was gone, leaving her confused.

"Huh, why is it gone?" Samantha asked.

[Because you held the card and then thought of your sister, sir, so congratulations, you are now pregnant.]

"Huh... what?! You've gotta be kidding me!" Samantha shrieked.

[Please check your pregnancy.]

"Ugh... I don't believe it," Samantha replied.

"Driiiing," Samantha's smartphone suddenly rang. She saw Melissa's name appear on the screen and immediately answered.

"Hello," she greeted.

"Sis... something feels weird. I'm home now, lying on the couch, and I have this weird feeling... my stomach... feels empty... I'm going to the doctor to get checked now, I'm scared," Melissa said.

"Thud," Samantha's smartphone fell to the car floor because she dropped it in shock. Her face suddenly tensed. "Hello... hello... hello... Sis Samantha?" Melissa called through the phone. Samantha glanced at her smartphone on the car floor, then bent down to pick it up. She put her smartphone back to her ear.

"Y-yeah, you should go get it checked," Samantha said.

"Okay, I'm going now," Melissa replied.

The call ended. Samantha looked stunned and placed her smartphone on the seat beside her.

"Why didn't you tell me how to use it?" Samantha asked.

[You did not ask, sir.]

"Then explain it now," Samantha replied.

[As I said, we first need to know who the wife of the man who got your sister pregnant is. Then, meet her with your sister and ask both of them to hold the card to exchange their pregnancies.]

"But why did it transfer to me?" Samantha asked.

[Because you thought about helping your sister and held the card. Remember, you are currently a woman, and if a woman wants to transfer someone's pregnancy but holds that card, the pregnancy will be transfer to her.]

"Aaaaaaaaah! You bastard! Please explain these kind of things earlier next time!" Samantha yelled.

[It's all your fault, sir, for just taking it from dimensional storage without asking first.]

"Why is it my fault? You should have explained it even if I didn't take it!" Samantha retorted.

[You told me to be quiet earlier, sir, remember ?]

"Ugh... you're so messed up!" Samantha replied.

And thirty minutes later, Melissa called Samantha again to tell her she wasn't pregnant and she sounds very confused but also relieved, right when Samantha had just arrived home and was still sitting in her car, parked in the carport.

"Is there any other way for me not to be pregnant?" Samantha asked.

[No, you will not be pregnant again after giving birth.]

"Grrrrrrr...damn... stupid Hades," Samantha replied.

[Thank you for the compliment, sir.]

"I just wanna get over this chronic allergies to women in the first place, and now I've got PTSD symptoms since yesterday 'til now, and on top of that, now I'm pregnant for no reason, I even didn't do anything with this baby-daddy...this...is so messed up...craaaap," Samantha mumbled, banging her forehead on the steering wheel.

[Next time, don't prioritize others. Because when you help someone, their burden shifts to you, understood, sir?]

"Shut up," Samantha replied.
