Chapter 6: Chapter 5 The night of the full moon
A few days later, the full moon finally arrived. The whole village was enveloped in a silence broken only by the occasional wind. The villagers gathered in twos and threes in the square, their faces full of curiosity and nervousness. They had heard that the old scholar was going to perform a mysterious ceremony for Ethan this evening to solve the mystery of his dreams.
Ethan stood in the middle of the square with mixed feelings. He knew this might be his last chance to undo his nightmare. He took a deep breath and tried to calm his nerves. Elena stood beside him, holding his hand tightly, giving him strength and support.
The old scholar stood by, holding the old book in his hand, and looking deeply at Ethan. He nodded gently, indicating that the ceremony was about to begin.
"Villagers, please be quiet," the old scholar shouted, his voice echoing around the square. "Today, we will perform an ancient ritual to help Ethan solve the mysteries of his dreams."
The villagers fell silent, their eyes focused on Ethan and the old scholar. The old scholar began to prepare the objects for the ceremony, and several candles were lit and placed in the middle of the square to form a mysterious symbol. He also took out some herbs, and when they were lit, the smoke curled around them, emitting a strange aroma.
"Ethan, please stand in the center of the symbol," the old scholar instructed.
Ethan took a deep breath and walked to the center of the symbol, closing his eyes and feeling the breath around him. The old scholar began to chant the old mantra in a low, rhythmic voice, as if with some mystical power.
Ethan felt drowsy and began to lose consciousness. He knew he was entering a dream, a world of unknown and danger.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself standing in the familiar dark forest. The trees around them rose to the sky, and the moonlight filtered through the leaves, creating dappled shadows. The air smelled of blood and fear.
"Here you are at last," said a deep, cold voice in his ear.
Ethan turned and saw a strong werewolf standing in front of him. The werewolf was a tall man with a bloodthirsty twinkle in his eye. He is the leader of the Wolf clan, a powerful and fierce being.
"We must fight," whispered the chief, with a threat in his voice that could not be ignored.
Ethan felt his heart pounding, but he knew he had to face it. He took a deep breath, puffed out his chest, and prepared for the duel of life and death.
In reality, the villagers in the square watched Ethan as his body began to shake and a pained expression appeared on his face. Elena looked at him anxiously and tried to help him, but was stopped by the old scholar.
"Do not disturb him," whispered the old scholar, with a mixed gleam in his eyes. "He is going through a crucial moment."
In the dream, Ethan fought a fierce battle with the Wolf leader. Their claws flickered in the air, each attack carried deadly force. Ethan fought the leader as hard as he could, but he could sense his opponent's strength and ferocity.
"You cannot beat me," sneered the leader, with a cruel glint in his eye. "You are only a human being. You are no match for me."
Ethan gritted his teeth and did his best to fend off the leader's attack. He knew he couldn't back down and had to find a way to win. He felt his strength drain rapidly, but he persevered.
The real Ethan suddenly began to struggle, his body twisting violently, as if he were fighting some invisible force. The villagers were frightened by this scene and retreated. They did not know what Ethan was going through and could only watch from a distance.
'What is he doing? 'asked one of the villagers in horror.
"He looks like he's possessed," another villager replied, his voice full of fear.
Elena squeezed Ethan's hand, her eyes full of anxiety and worry. She knew that Ethan was going through a difficult struggle, but she could not help him, and she could only pray silently beside him.
"Ethan, hold on! Elena shouted in her mind, her hand shaking slightly, but she stood firm beside Ethan.
In the dream, Ethan felt his body getting heavier and heavier, and each attack became extremely difficult. The werewolf leader's power seemed endless, and his attacks grew so fierce that Ethan could hardly resist them.
"You can't get the better of me," the chief sneered again, and his claws glinted cold and stabbed Ethan hard.
Ethan felt a sharp pain, and his body was sent flying and slammed to the ground. He felt his consciousness begin to fade and his vision grow darker.
"This is your fate," whispered the chief, his voice cold and cruel. "You shall never escape it."
Ethan felt a wave of despair, but he knew he couldn't give up. He fought as hard as he could, trying to get himself up. His body seemed to be torn apart, but he still stubbornly held on.

"I will not be defeated by you," Ethan whispered, a touch of determination in his voice.
However, the leader of the Wolf clan did not flinch, and he pounced on Ethan again, his claws shining cold, and severely pinned down Ethan's body. Ethan felt a sharp pain, as if his body were torn apart and unable to move.
"This is your fate," whispered the chief, his voice cold and cruel. "You shall never escape it."
In reality, Ethan's body was also pressed to the ground by the villagers, who tried to control him, but Ethan's power seemed to be beyond ordinary people's imagination. It took the best efforts of several stout villagers to restrain him.
"He really is enchanted!" 'cried one of the villagers in horror.' We must control him! '
"Quick, hold him down!" "Shouted another villager, their faces written with fear and tension.
With a tear in her eye, Elena tried to get closer to Ethan, but the villagers blocked her. She looked helplessly at Ethan, filled with pain and worry.
"Ethan, hold on! Elena shouted in her mind, her hand shaking slightly, but she stood firm beside Ethan.
In the dream, Ethan felt his consciousness fade and his vision grow darker and darker. He knew he couldn't hold on any longer, the Wolf leader was too powerful.
"You lose," the leader said coldly, as his claws plunged deep into Ethan's body, causing intense pain.
Ethan felt a wave of despair, but he knew he couldn't give up. He fought as hard as he could to keep himself awake. His body seemed to be torn apart, but he still stubbornly held on.
In reality, the villagers finally pinned Ethan to the ground, their faces written with tension and fear. The old scholar stood aside with a mixed glow in his eyes as he whispered, "He is going through a critical moment. We must let him overcome it."
Ethan's body shook violently on the ground, as if in a life-or-death struggle. The villagers held him tight, not daring to let go, knowing what would happen if they let Ethan get out of control.
Ethan's body shook violently on the ground, as if in a life-or-death struggle. The villagers held him tight, not daring to let go, knowing what would happen if they let Ethan get out of control.
Just then, a tall woman stepped out of the crowd. She stood out in her white lab coat. Her eyes were calm and sharp, sweeping quickly over the old scholar, the villagers, and the struggling Ethan. Villagers cleared a path for her, clearly in awe of her.
'Stop it! "Said the woman coldly, with unmistakable authority in her voice.
The old scholar frowned, and a gleam of displeasure crossed his eyes, but he made no immediate objection. "Who are you? Why interfere with our ritual?"
"I'm Dr. Lin," she replied calmly. "I've been studying these kinds of phenomena, and I know what you're doing and that it's wrong."
The villagers were stunned, apparently unaware of Dr. Lin's history. But her words filled their minds with doubt. Elena looked at Dr. Lin nervously, her eyes full of hope.
"Do you know about him?" Elena asked eagerly.
"I know his problem," Dr. Lin nodded. "He is not possessed, but is troubled by a complicated dream. I can help him, but you must let him go. '
The villagers looked at each other, clearly unsure whether to believe the woman who had suddenly appeared. The old scholar sneered, "Do you have any proof of what you said?"
"I have the means to prove it," Dr. Lin said unflinchingly, "but you have to let me handle it."
In the dream, Ethan felt that his power was rapidly losing, and the attacks of the Wolf clan leader were becoming more and more intense, which he could hardly resist. Just as he was about to be completely subdued, a strange figure suddenly appeared and came between him and the leader.
"Who are you?" The leader roared angrily, with a fierce glint in his eyes.
"I have come to save him," the man answered calmly, his voice with unshakable determination.
Ethan felt a sense of relief, and his body gradually regained some strength. He managed to stand up and see the stranger's face clearly. It was a man who looked equally troubled, but his eyes were full of determination and courage.
"You can't beat me," the chief growled angrily, lunging at the man again.
In reality, the villagers finally decided to believe Dr. Lin's word, and they slowly let go of their stranglehold on Ethan. Dr. Lin quickly stepped forward and began to check on Ethan. She took some strange instruments out of her pocket and ran some quick tests.
"What he needs now is peace and rest," Dr. Lin said calmly. "I will solve his nightmare by scientific methods, not by superstitious rituals."
Elena nodded gratefully. She knew Dr. Lin was right. She took Ethan's hand and whispered, "Ethan, we'll find out."
In the dream, there was a fierce battle between the stranger and the Wolf leader. Each of his attacks was filled with strength and determination, and although he was seriously injured physically, he still stubbornly persevered. Ethan felt inspired and knew he had to join the fight.
"Together!" Ethan shouted, trying his best to join the fight.
The leader's attacks become more and more violent, but Ethan and the stranger cooperate well and gradually gain the upper hand. The leader roared angrily, his eyes shining with resentment and fear.
"You won't win! The chief growled and pounced for the last time.
It was at this critical moment that Ethan and the stranger launched their strongest attack at the same time. Their combined strength hit the leader hard. The leader let out a scream and finally fell to the ground, disappearing into a puff of black smoke.
"Thank you," Ethan gasped, looking gratefully at the stranger.
"We all need to help each other," the stranger said with a smile. "This is just the beginning. You have to keep looking for the truth."
Ethan nodded, knowing that this dream victory was only the first step. In reality, he must continue to work to find the answer to his nightmare.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself lying in the square, surrounded by anxious villagers and a calm Dr. Lin. He felt a pang of exhaustion, but more relief and hope.
"You're awake," Dr. Lin said, a gleam of relief in his eyes. "We'll continue to study your case and find the real answer."
Elena hugged Ethan tightly, her eyes glistening with tears. "You're finally awake. We're gonna find out together."
