Douluo: I’m Totally a Support Type… Probably

Chapter 34: Silver Dragon King

The moment Wu Lan stepped through the dimensional ripple beside Di Tian, the dense aura of Star Dou Forest faded behind him. They appeared in a white realm.

Wu Lan's full attention shifted to the enormous silver dragon at the center of the dimension, her glowing violet eyes locked onto him.

Di Tian walked ahead a few steps, then halted and knelt, his voice filled with reverence.

"Master… I have brought him."

She glanced at Di Tian, who bowed again before her. With a gentle wave of her hand, she said,

"Leave us."

Di Tian stood, gave a respectful bow to them both, and stepped into the void.

Now, only Wu Lan and Gu Yuena remained.

Wu Lan felt his Golden Dragon bloodline reacting to Gu Yuena's presence.

Surprisingly, he felt no hostility from her. In fact, her presence calmed him. He felt strangely comfortable being near her.

Soon, Gu Yuena transformed into her human form.

She wore a gown of radiant silver silk that fluttered with quiet grace. Her long, starlight-silver hair cascaded to her knees, glowing faintly. But it was her violet eyes piercing and timeless that held Wu Lan's gaze from the very first moment.

She was beauty beyond mortal limits. Divine. Untouched by suffering or time. And yet, behind that perfection was sorrow buried beneath centuries of solitude.

Wu Lan's silver eyes softened.

He felt a pang of sadness, remembering everything that would happen to her in the future.

After Tang San became a god, he manipulated the fate of soul beasts and sealed the Golden Dragon King into his own son to control her.

Asura's divine power had slowed her natural healing significantly. Her strength remained trapped below its full potential.

She had hidden herself for tens of thousands of years in this dimension, trying to recover.

Due to her divine identity, everyone feared her. All soul beasts regarded her as their final hope, placing immense pressure on her. And so, she had been alone burdened by responsibility, with no one to share it.

Gu Yuena stepped closer to Wu Lan and observed him quietly. She felt comfortable near him a feeling she hadn't experienced in an eternity. There was no hostility in him. Only sadness... for her.

She was confused. She had expected hostility.

"You... do you have your memories?" she asked softly.

Wu Lan came out of his thoughts and answered,

"No."

"That makes sense. Your bloodline is still incomplete."

Hearing this, Gu Yuena was relieved. Without his full memories, he wouldn't bear the hostility of their past. And before he awakened those memories... she had to act. She had to do something to lessen the hostility before it ever had the chance to rise.

Wu Lan, seeing her, he felt guilty. He didn't want to deceive her like Tang San had.

So he spoke honestly.

"By the way, I'm Wu Lan. I may not be the person you're looking for."

Gu Yuena blinked, then calmly declared,

"I can feel your bloodline. It's real. Incomplete... but real. You are him."

As she said this, an idea came to her.

For dragons, nothing is more sacred than bloodline.

If she helped him complete his bloodline, he would not hate her. And when he recovered, he would stand by her side.

She felt pleased with her intelligence. It was a good plan.

She would offer him a small part of her bloodline. It would speed up the completion of his own.

' I'm already injured anyway,' she thought. 'A little more time to heal is nothing if I gain him.'

Looking directly into his eyes, she spoke.

"There is a way to confirm your bloodline."

"What is it?" Wu Lan asked, curious.

In response, she raised her hand and began drawing out a small portion of her bloodline.

Wu Lan watched in shock as her face paled, her expression strained.

A glowing red droplet slowly formed in her palm.

The moment it appeared, Wu Lan's bloodline pulsed violently. He instantly realized what it was.

Her bloodline.

And she was hurting herself.

"Stop! What are you doing!?" he shouted, instantly summoning his Martial Spirit Scared Orchid and sending out healing light at full strength.

"You wanted to confirm," she replied weakly.

Wu Lan instantly understood this method to determine bloodline required her bloodline.

Watching her injure herself for his sake made his chest tighten with guilt.

Gu Yuena, hearing his concern and feeling the warm surge of vitality enter her body, momentarily forgot her injuries. A peace she hadn't felt in tens of thousands of years settled over her.

She stopped her actions, her shoulders relaxing as Wu Lan continued healing her.

Her pale face slowly brightened with returning vitality.

It was the first time Wu Lan had used his healing ability at full power.

His four black soul rings amplified his vitality by 300%.

Back when he healed Tang Hao, he had only used a small amount just enough to gain payment, while pretending to be exhausted.

But this time, he was truly giving everything.

His soul power dropped rapidly.

Then, the prompt came:

[Healing in progress...]

[Payment detected: Silver Dragon King Bloodline]

[Would you like to absorb it?]

Wu Lan saw the notification... and glanced at Gu Yuena, who had finally found a moment of peace from all her burdens and loneliness.

Without hesitation

He rejected the payment.

He would never become like Tang San.

'I may not be a good person,' he thought, 'but I will never be the kind of person who plays with someone else's life.'

Soon, his soul power neared depletion. His face paled from exhaustion, and he stopped the healing.

Sensing the sudden stillness, Gu Yuena opened her eyes. Seeing Wu Lan looking drained, she opened her mouth to speak but he scolded her instead.

"What were you thinking? Hurting yourself like that?!"

She blinked in surprise.

But she didn't get angry.

Instead, her heart warmed.

He cares... about me.

A feeling she had long forgotten.

A genuine smile bloomed on her lips.
