Chapter 220: DDDS: Chapter 220
"Can't we get along on this rare mission together?" Shinobu, observing Giyu's coldness, complained.
Her voice was soft and incredibly alluring. Only Giyu, emotionally unresponsive, remained unaffected; others would have been captivated.
Giyu responded flatly, "I'm only here to kill demons. Other matters are irrelevant."
"So cold…" Shinobu sighed.
Giving up on pleasantries, she said, "Then let's split up here. I'll go west."
She quickly separated from Giyu.
Giyu, without lingering, chose a different direction to thoroughly search Spider Mountain.
Meanwhile, Zenitsu, having slain the {human-headed spider demon}, was completely paralyzed by the poison.
He fell from the sky, landing on the hut's roof, near death.
The {human-headed spider demon}, belatedly realizing its decapitation, hadn't had time to react to Zenitsu's incredibly fast attack.
"Damn it! I was killed by such a weakling!" it shrieked before its final demise.
Zenitsu, falling onto the roof, vomited blood from his mouth and nose. He then groggily awoke.
The first thing he saw was the large, bright full moon hanging in the sky, adorned with glittering stars—a breathtaking sight.
"I think I had a dream, a happy dream. In it, I was strong, like Ryuji-senpai, helping the weak and those in need! Grandpa's teachings weren't wasted!"
"But I'm about to become a spider! I won't see Nezuko again, nor Ryuji-senpai, Tanjiro, Inosuke, or Grandpa!"
Zenitsu's heart ached.
His sparrow landed before him, chirping anxiously.
"Chirp… Taro… I… I'm sorry, I can't stay with you," Zenitsu managed, his eyes welling up.
The sparrow, clearly distressed, flew away, likely to seek help.
"Don't give up, you're my proudest child. Never give up easily!"
In his semi-conscious state, Zenitsu seemed to hear his grandfather's words.
"That's right… I'm going to marry Nezuko! I can't give up!" Zenitsu rallied himself.
He began to breathe deeply, using Thunder Breathing to try and slow the poison's spread.
