Devouring Demons in Demon Slayer

Chapter 219: DDDS: Chapter 219

Ryuji, observing from the shadows, saw Tanjiro sent flying.

However, instead of immediately pursuing Tanjiro, he chose to protect Inosuke, who would likely be overwhelmed without Tanjiro.

Ryuji secretly followed Inosuke and the {spider-faced demon}.

If Inosuke escaped, Ryuji would finish off the {demon}.

He could also test the limits of his enhanced strength using his ultimate breathing technique.

To Ryuji's surprise, Inosuke stopped running, berating himself. "What am I doing?! Thinking isn't my style! It's all Tanjiro's fault; he threw off my rhythm."

He turned and charged at the {demon}, striking it with his blades.

The {demon} tried to overpower Inosuke as before.

However, Inosuke's power was sufficient to resist. He couldn't sever the arm, but this time he changed tactics. After missing with one blade, he immediately struck with the other.

The second strike deepened the wound, causing the {demon} to cry out in pain.

"If one cut won't do it, then two, three, until it breaks!" Inosuke roared, striking repeatedly without pause.

On the third strike, he severed the {demon}'s forearm.

"I cut it off! I'm better than Tanjiro! I did what he couldn't!" Inosuke boasted.

With one arm severed, the {demon} covered its wound and retreated.

Inosuke, still boasting, gave chase, grumbling, "Where do you think you're going? Damn it, stop!"

The {demon} quickly disappeared.

Ryuji, sensing something was amiss, knew Inosuke's pursuit was dangerous.

Following the {demon}'s trail, Inosuke found no sign of it and grew anxious. He used spatial awareness to sense his surroundings.

He suddenly looked toward a nearby tree, exclaiming, "It's in the tree!"

He saw the {demon} clinging to a high branch, groaning in pain, as if tortured.

"You idiot, what are you doing up there?" Inosuke yelled at the {demon}.
