DanMachi: Ultimate Lich King

Chapter 109: DULK: Chapter 109

The "streetlight king" moniker caused a stir; Gilgamesh almost laughed. But the laughter died; terrifying killing intent enveloped everyone;

Waver, a mere mortal among Servants, couldn't withstand the pressure and collapsed in the chariot.

"Die pathetically; perhaps your demise will amuse me,"

Archer narrowed his crimson eyes, declaring this as his weapons—swords and spears—flew through the air.

He launched weapons without even touching them—hence the Golden Archer. This reckless use of Noble Phantasms was unusual; Noble Phantasms were like children to Servants; carelessly throwing them was foolish.

Nevertheless, the destructive power was immense. The road surface exploded like a bomb; asphalt turned to dust, obscuring vision.

Everyone held their breath.

But the Servant girl remained motionless; her Master protected her from Archer's attack.

Arthas raised a hand; a crystalline ice shield formed.

Archer launched four Noble Phantasms; two struck the ground like missiles; two pierced the shield.

A dull thud echoed; ice shards and dust mixed; Archer's face darkened. His boastful attack had failed; his embarrassment was evident.

Arthas examined the shield; cracks covered its surface; it hadn't shattered, but it had barely withstood the attack.

"I underestimated you… interesting, but it's merely a weakling's futile struggle!"

Archer, murderous, spoke again; his body glowed; more Noble Phantasms appeared behind him—sixteen in total.

Not just swords and spears, but axes, hammers, and lances; some were bizarre and unknown.

All were polished like mirrors, radiating immense magical energy; each was a true Noble Phantasm.

"That fool…"

Waver muttered; the other Servants and Masters likely thought the same.

Servants didn't have just one Noble Phantasm; some possessed three or four. But there were limits.

The Golden Archer wielded Noble Phantasms endlessly, one after another. He hadn't used the same one twice since last night's battle with the Assassins.

"If you can withstand this, let me see how many you can endure!"

Archer commanded; the Noble Phantasms surged towards Arthas.

Roaring explosions threatened to illuminate the night sky.

The destructive power was immense; it was more than just throwing weapons.

Arthas felt immense pressure; he could dodge alone, but he held Illya.

Flandre stepped forward, shielding them from the barrage.

Saber and Gilgamesh felt pity; she was a child, even if a Servant.

Archer showed no mercy; his assault continued relentlessly, seemingly intent on obliterating Arthas and the entire block.

Everyone was stunned. They knew the danger of facing multiple enemies, but this was unexpected.

The small girl, amidst the barrage, wielded her staff-like Noble Phantasm, deflecting the incoming weapons.

Could a Caster do this? The other Servants wondered; they might survive, but deflecting each weapon required skill and courage.

And this was a Caster, known for weak direct combat.

Both offense and defense were extraordinary.

The Golden Archer and the girl Caster were unlike the others; they were mysterious, unnamed Servants.

Saber and Lancer trembled at the threat they posed; they might face them later in the war, and knew little about them.

"The Golden Archer seems proud of his many Noble Phantasms. But a little girl easily deflected them; this proud man must be furious,"

Rider, unfazed, whispered, as Saber and Lancer were speechless.

"And this girl is a weak Caster…"

"Are you belittling women, Rider?"

Saber interrupted, still resentful of Gilgamesh's earlier comment about her being a girl.
