A Fisherman's Immortal Journey

Even though Ren Wei was excited to see the reward he was getting. He still did not check the notification.

He was thinking of check it after returning home.

After leaving the Li clan residence, Ren Wei roamed around the city for quite a while. Going from place to place, site seeing.

Some people looked at him oddly, seeing his odd appearance. With a fishing rod, old clothes and fish pot, visiting nice places surely attracted some people's interest.

Ren Wei did not explain to them, putting on a fake smile, he went on his way.

Only after arriving at his house did he took a breath to clear all those things in his mind.

Sitting in front of his fire stove, he started cooking his dinner. Tonight, he was going to have a fish dinner.

Even though he was a fisherman, he rarely eats fish. Like once a week.

Reacting to it, instinctively, he put his hands and covered his eyes. But all he got was much more intense reaction from his eyes.

Soon, his eyes felt like burning literally.

"Argh...." He gritted his teeth and groaned in pain.

However the pain did not show any sign of easing. Instead, it deepened.

If it were hurting other parts of his body, he could atleast try to fight for it like massaging and gripping. But he could not do any of that since it was his naked eyes.

Then, he suddenly got an idea.

'Water. Cold water.' With this thought, he frantically ran out of his bedroom in the dark.

With his instinct and senses, he quickly found a bucket of water just outside his house.

He hurriedly splashed the water into his burning eyes.

For a moment, he thought the pain eased for a little bit. But soon, all he got was much more greater pain than before.

This time, he could not simply grit his teeth and groan, he shouted on the top of his lungs.

But shockingly, no sound came out.

Closing his eyes and blocking it with his palms, Ren Wei frantically shook his head, his whole body like a coiling snake.

Like throwing a bucket of water in a sea of fire, his efforts were useless.

"Argh-" With the final voice cut off, Ren Wei rolled his eyes backward and fell on the ground unconscious, in the dark.

The sound of his body hitting the ground echoed in the courtyard. But no one was there to see the scene.

Soon, time passed. From early night to late night. It has been about 4 hours since Ren Wei fell outside his house, unconscious.

Even after the 4 hours, Ren Wei still did not show any sign of waking up from his deep slumber.

Very quickly, the late night turned into mid night. When the night was at its darkest hour, with no moon and stars. Dark clouds covering the sky. Like rain was ready to come.

This time, Ren Wei's eyelids twitched. In seconds, his eyes slowly opened. But his eyes were different than before.

Even in the dark night, the two pupils were glowing with emareld blue light.

When Ren Wei opened his eyes, he saw the night sky. With the clouds rolling.

With blurry vision, he slowly sat up from his lying position. With one hand one the ground supporting him and the other grabbed his forehead.

Trying to clear his dizzy head and the blurry vision, he gave his head a light shake.

When he opened his one more time after the shake, he saw the surrounding much more clearly. Even though it was a little bit darker.

Then, it suddenly hit him. "What!!!? Am I seeing things? Or I can really see the dark night!!?" Yes, he was seeing the dark night very clearly.

"Huh... it is real. I can see the night clearly. So that's one of the functions of this pupils?" He thought.

Now, he was awake and clear. He could feel the changes after receiving the new pupils.

Before, it was just an ability he could use after channelling his Qi to activate. But now, he could feel the new one was directly installed in his eyes. Or rather it was his own pupils, one of his body part.

Excited, he quickly jumped up from where he was sitting and tried to laugh out loudly.

With a spirit full of energy, he went on with his daily life.

Living his life, repeating the things over and over again. Ren Wei felt the time was moving fast.

If it were any other people living his life, they would be bored to dead. But Ren Wei quite liked his quiet life. No harm, no violence, just normal fishing life.
