Zenless Zone Zero: Morax in a New World!

Chapter 264: Furina's Fan Frenzy

Outer Ring, Carrydon Town.

The moment Furina began to sing, her enchanting voice stunned the crowd, instantly drawing the attention of everyone in the square.

Her divine voice, pure and powerful...

Echoed through the ears of all who heard it.

Nicole stared at Furina on stage, eyes wide with amazement. "She can really sing..."

Piper was just as shocked. "She's totally a real star! Lucy, grab the camera! I need some shots—pictures of a big celebrity like her will fetch a fortune on the forum!"

Lucy scoffed. "She's not from New Eridu. How would I know her? Besides, she probably doesn't even have fans here."

From earlier conversations, they already knew Furina came from a place called Fontaine—likely another human settlement deep within the Outer Ring.

Meanwhile, nearby, reporter Jolly Jenny was equally stunned by Furina's performance.

Once she snapped out of it, she jumped up in excitement and quickly shouted to her crew, "Lighting! Don't just stand there—turn on all the stage lights!"

"On it!"

At her command, several staff members hurried into action.

In truth, the stage was nothing more than a makeshift platform built into the back of a truck. Barebones and simple, it was barely a "stage" at all.

But in the darkness of night—

The moment the stage lights lit up, everything changed.

Colorful beams illuminated Furina, transforming the crude platform into something elegant and refined. Even Furina herself couldn't help but smile with delight.

Not bad at all.

It couldn't match the grandeur of the Fontaine Opera House...

But out here in the wilderness, it was more than enough.

Then Jolly Jenny noticed some crew still frozen in place and snapped, "What are you waiting for? Start recording! This is gold—we can't miss a second!"

Originally, the plan was to visit Carrydon Town just to interview Caesar and the others and generate some buzz for the upcoming Tour de Inferno.

But now they had struck gold.

Even though the footage hadn't been broadcast in New Eridu yet, Jolly Jenny could already picture the impact it would have once it aired.

Furina's performance would explode in popularity.

She'd become the hottest name in New Eridu overnight.

Still, Jolly Jenny couldn't shake her curiosity. She followed the entertainment scene closely—how had she never heard of Furina before?

Had she only just debuted?

As Jolly Jenny and her crew continued filming, the entire square—Caesar, Piper, Lucy, Sam Li, Nicole, Anby, Belle, Wise, and the rest—stood entranced, becoming the audience of this impromptu concert.

On stage, Furina felt completely at ease.

Aside from Sam Li, no one here knew who she was. No past, no fame to live up to—just the freedom to sing her heart out.

One song turned into two, then three...

Before long, she had turned the event into a full-blown personal concert.

Her beautiful voice drifted across the whole town, drawing out residents and shop owners alike.

Piper couldn't help but praise her. "She's a born star."

Caesar smiled. "You said you were taking photos—make sure you snap a few more. Send me some too."

Piper nodded. "Of course…"

The spontaneous concert lasted nearly an hour. Furina performed seven or eight songs in total, covering the most popular hits from Fontaine.

"Lucy, do you know what this song is called?"

"No idea."

"What about this one?"

"I said I don't know! Quit asking!"

"It's wild—every song is new. She must've brought them from Fontaine. I wonder what her hometown is like…"

...

To someone like Piper, who lived in the Outer Ring, the further you got from New Eridu, the more outdated and primitive everything became.

But Furina shattered that belief.

Judging by what Piper had gathered, Fontaine had to be buried deep within the Outer Ring…

Yet Furina didn't act like someone from a poor, forgotten place.

She carried herself like someone born in the heart of a metropolis—graceful in every movement, elegant without effort.

Come to think of it...

The only other person Piper had ever met with that same aura was Sam Li from Hare's House.

After the concert wrapped up...

Piper hurried over. "Miss Furina, can I get your autograph?"

Furina smiled. "Of course."

She signed the notebook Piper had prepared, just before Jolly Jenny pulled her aside for an exclusive interview.

Lucy walked over. "Didn't think you were the type to chase stars."

Piper grinned. "Chase stars? Please. This is a big-name autograph! Put it up on the forum and I could make a fortune."

Lucy rolled her eyes. "You've really become obsessed with money. Don't tell me you're still saving up for scratch cards?"

Caught red-handed.

Piper quickly denied it. "Of course not…"

Lucy: "…"

Soon after Furina finished her interview with Jolly Jenny, she invited everyone to a local restaurant—for her treat.

Caesar looked a bit flustered. "You're our guest. We should be the ones treating you."

Furina smiled gently. "It's fine. We brought more than enough Mora this time—we couldn't spend it all in a year if we tried."

While everyone enjoyed their meal, Jolly Jenny and her crew were already busy processing the footage they'd just captured, preparing to send it back to the city immediately.

Once it aired on television, Jolly Jenny was certain—Furina would become an overnight sensation.

...

And just as Jolly Jenny predicted—

That same night, New Eridu City TV received the footage of Furina's performance and broadcast it immediately.

Within just thirty minutes, forum discussions erupted across the city...

And in under an hour, New Eridu TV's ratings reached their highest point in nearly a decade.

One song after another—Furina's voice etched itself into viewers' memories.

With her explosive debut, people quickly began asking which agency had signed this mysterious singer named Furina.

...
