You Are Deep in The Stars

Chapter 25 - Drinks A Glass of Milk Every Day, Strong Alien II

Bai Xi was sitting on the bed in a trance, holding a glass of hot milk.

“What are you thinking about?” Han Zhuo knocked on the door. “Can I come in?”

“Of course.” Bai Xi nodded and put the cup on the bedside table. “I was thinking about Zhao Xiaojuan.”

“Eleven o’clock at night should be your rest time.” Han Zhuo sat by the bed. “I’m also checking on Zhao Xiaojuan. Don’t worry too much. She can pass through walls. Theoretically, no one can imprison her.”

“But she definitely got taken by force,” Bai Xi said. “After all, she cares so much about her parents. How could she leave them alone?”

“Zhao Yuejin and his wife are not in danger at the moment,” Han Zhuo put down the pillow for him and said suddenly, “Your pajamas are very cute.”

Bai Xi didn’t react at first: “Huh?”

Han Zhuo smiled. “There are many little stars.”

“My mother bought them. She likes these childish and pink things. She and Liu Chunchun have similar tastes.” Bai Xi grabbed his pajamas and complained, “I can’t understand them. But it doesn’t matter, as long as she is happy.”

“Such warm little pajamas should be accompanied by a warm dream, not thoughts about the underground warehouse and a missing person case,” Han Zhuo smiled. “Besides, tomorrow is Chunchun’s first day at work. You can’t be late. You must set the rules by example.”

“What about you?” Bai Xi asked. “Are you going to watch the stars in the garden again?”

Han Zhuo nodded. “This is the most relaxing moment for me every day.”

“Okay, good night.” Bai Xi laid down.

“Good night.” Han Zhuo stood up.

“Wait a minute!” Bai Xi suddenly grabbed his sleeve.

“Want little stars again?” Mr. Han looked at him with a smile.

“No, help me finish this glass of milk. Don’t waste it.” Bai Xi pointed to the bedside table. “Otherwise, Aunt Li will nag you again tomorrow.”

Han Zhuo tried to refuse. “I don’t like drinking milk.”

But Bai Xi’s eyes were very sincere. “A glass of milk before bed for a strong alien.”

Mr. Han couldn’t help but laugh. He picked up the glass and admitted defeat. “Okay, but I won’t do this again.”

Bai Xi gave him a victory sign and laid back with satisfaction. “I wish you a happy relaxing time in the small garden!”

.

Sugar had been added to the milk. Han Zhuo planned to brush his teeth first, but when he went downstairs, he ran into Mrs. Bai.

“Shh—Xiao Bai isn’t asleep yet?” she asked softly.

“I guess he hasn’t fallen asleep yet.” Han Zhuo glanced upstairs. “What do you need?”

“What day do you think tomorrow is?” Mrs. Bai walked into the kitchen, where an old hen was being cooked in an electric stew pot, the aroma enhancing the flavor.

“Mrs. Bai is cooking herself means it’s a very grand day.” Han Zhuo stood at the door of the kitchen. “I can’t guess what it is?”

“It’s Xiao Bai’s birthday.” Mrs. Bai smiled. “He didn’t tell you?”

“…No.” Han Zhuo was a little surprised. “I’m sorry, I didn’t prepare a gift.”

“You don’t need to prepare a gift. Xiao Bai won’t care about that.” Mrs. Bai gently put the pot lid back and warned, “Just remember to come home on time for dinner tomorrow and don’t work overtime.”

Han Zhuo nodded. “Okay, you should go to bed early.”

.

In this season, there was no green in the small garden. It was very depressed and deserted, but it could also make people more awake. In the clear and high sky, stars twinkled. Tomorrow should be a very clear day.

Han Zhuo didn’t drink. He stood alone on the terrace for fifteen minutes and then glanced at the second floor. The dim lights still hadn’t gone out.

One minute to go until midnight.

He stared at the pointer on his wrist, watching the long and thin second hand rotate in a circle, and finally land on the number “12”.

A bunch of beautiful little stars floated up to the balcony, but their path was blocked by the glass door. They stopped pitifully in place, with only a faint light shining through the curtains.

Bai Xi happily opened the quilt and ran over barefoot to open the balcony door.

The little stars scattered in the air with a “clatter,” like a world full of suspended fireflies.

“You didn’t sleep well.” Han Zhuo looked up at him with a smile. “Happy birthday.”

“So, you know.” Bai Xi leaned on the fence, eyes shining. “Besides the little stars, are there any gifts?”

“Hmm?” Han Zhuo thought for a moment and raised his eyebrows. “Yes, I’ll give it to you tomorrow.”

“This is the first gift I have received from an alien,” Bai Xi emphasized in a low voice.

Mr. Han nodded. “I will work hard to live up to your expectations.”

Bai Xi smiled. “Then I’m going to bed, and you should go to bed early.”

“See you tomorrow.” Han Zhuo raised the corner of his mouth. “Sweet dreams, like a marshmallow.”

.

Early the next morning, the crisp sound of pots and bowls was heard in the kitchen. Aunt Li gave full play to her true qualities as a chef, with a strong posture, and almost pulled out a meter-long ramen.

Bai Xi said to Mr. Han from the bottom of his heart, “I think I can live to be two hundred years old.”

“That’s great.” Han Zhuo helped him pull out his chair and joked in a low voice, “If you become a little old man, will you still like little stars?”

Bai Xi stretched out his hand.

Mr. Han quickly placed a piece of fine halo in his hand.

“Ahem!” Aunt Li suddenly appeared at the kitchen door.

“Good morning!” Bai Xi quickly put the little star into his pocket, with a sunny and innocent expression.

“What are you doing again?” Aunt Li looked suspiciously at Mr. Han.

“I… didn’t do anything.” Han Zhuo stood behind Bai Xi with a gentle smile. “Really.”

Couldn’t even find an excuse?

Aunt Li sighed deeply.

This Mr. Bodyguard. What a disappointment.
