Chapter 23 - The Most Perfect Solution to Friendly Agreement I
After receiving Han Zhuo’s call, Daisy readily agreed and did not raise any questions about the invitation.
“Then can I apply to be an observer?” Mr. Han tried to fight for his rights again.
Bai Xi refused, “No.”
Then the sad little star became even sadder.
.
At the same time, Liu Chunchun was also very sad. After Wang Yuanchen helped him go home, he went to the balcony to drink alone. He seemed to be drunk all night long—of course, in normal times, this would not be a big deal. But as an injured patient today, he felt he really needed someone to help him cook.
He just experienced a kidnapping case, and the environment seemed to have become very dangerous. He was not allowed to order takeout, and he didn’t even know the name of the unit. He could only take a deep breath and moved to the kitchen with difficulty and stiffness, intending to look in the refrigerator for any food.
The sound of “clanging” came from the kitchen. Wang Yuanchen frowned slightly and looked back at the window. He saw Liu Chunchun holding his waist and squatting down slowly and painfully, as if he was eight months pregnant.
“What are you doing?” he asked in surprise.
Liu Chunchun replied, “Picking up something.”
Wang Yuanchen: “…”
Liu Chunchun added sincerely, “I wanted to find something to eat, but I accidentally knocked over the bowl and chopstick holder.”
Wang Yuanchen put the wine bottle on the windowsill, “What do you want to eat?”
Liu Chunchun said quickly, “Egg fried rice.”
Wang Yuanchen replied, “I can’t make egg fried rice.”
Liu Chunchun was very sad when he heard this. What hope could he have if Mr. Wang couldn’t even make egg fried rice? He sighed and had to settle for the next best thing, “What about instant noodles?”
Wang Yuanchen continued to shake his head and at the same time dialed a phone number, his tone cold and noble, “Burgundy red wine cowboy ribs with creamy onion sauce, black truffle champagne braised rice, aged Parma ham with mozzarella cheese sauce, pan-fried sea bass, blue lobster Italian salad, Italian ice cream topped with strawberry chocolate sauce and chopped nuts, and mousse mango tart, thank you.”
Liu Chunchun: “…”
“You can sit back now.” Wang Yuanchen opened the empty refrigerator door, “There’s nothing in here.”
Liu Chunchun turned around and said, “Oh.”
Wang Yuanchen leaned against the kitchen door and watched him move back awkwardly. The picture was a little funny, but no one could laugh. In fact, Han Zhuo’s previous prediction was not wrong. Neither the Moses Gallery nor the underground warehouse should have been interested in this ordinary young man, so everyone was waiting for the conspiracy to surface after the exhibition. But they didn’t expect Shi Tian to be waiting for him.
That was an absolute madman, and the scary thing about madmen was they do things without any logic at all, and their destructive power was amazing.
Without those paintings, Liu Chunchun might have always been a safe outsider. But now, the cause of the incident was all his own. Thinking of this, Wang Yuanchen unsurprisingly became irritable again, and his beautiful face was covered with frost.
Liu Chunchun didn’t notice. He was holding the phone and still searching carefully for what kind of weapon it was that could suddenly blast him into the air, leaving him no room to fight back.
The night was quiet.
.
At twelve o’clock in the morning, Mr. Han was still sitting in the small garden, looking at the dim stars in the distance. The wind in late autumn and early winter was already very cold and was blowing dry leaves all over the ground. The lights in the bedroom on the second floor had not yet been extinguished. The warm light shone through the window, looking like a piece of sweet orange marshmallow floating in the night sky. In this cold night, it looked exceptionally warm, soft, and beautiful.
After a while, a few small stars quietly climbed onto the glass, twinkling and gleaming, making others feel guilty.
Bai Xi turned a blind eye. He calmly pulled the quilt and covered his head tightly.
So, Mr. Han had no choice but to continue to stay downstairs alone, sighing in distress.
.
At the bar on Qiye Road, Daisy was in a good mood. She rummaged through her collection for a full hour before she reluctantly picked out a gift that suited her heart and planned to give it to Bai Xi—a luxurious and delicate little star studded with diamonds.
The appointment location for the next day was set at a pirate-themed restaurant, where they could eat from afternoon tea to dinner. The booths were in a blue moon ship, the waiters were all dressed as sailors, and the music was very Caribbean-style. It looked even more fantastic and lively than the bar late at night.
Daisy really liked it here.
“Am I really not allowed to participate?” Han Zhuo helped the two of them pour water.
“Poor little one, your boss said no,” Daisy suggested sympathetically. “Or you can go to the children’s area to spend time; it looks very fun.”
Not far away, a group of children with an average age of five were screaming in the ocean pool.
Han Zhuo raised his hands in surrender and took the initiative to go to the coffee shop next door.
