Wrath of king's curse

With a deep rigged sigh from her mouth, Sky dropped her tired body on the sands alongside Feng who was pouting eyeing the broken soul weapon.

"Come on, I'm sure you get a better one, yea?"

Feng glared at Sky who felt slight tense.

"If you broke a leg would you accept any other just because it could be better?"He scoffed.

Sky looked startled and shooked her head.

"Same with this one, it was a gift from the person who sent me here to be a nightwalker,...what a pity".

Realized that they had been friends for almost a month but what she knew about him was limited, she felt guilty about it, but his quiet attitude was helpful either unlike a loud orange head being she knows.

Feng heared Sky giggles all of a sudden looking up, he quizzed sorrowfuly patting the claws.

"What's so funny?"

"Nah, it's just... I remembered something unpleasant".

His face turned plain not understanding how is that funny.

"If it's unpleasant how it's funny?"

Sky just smiled keeping it to herself but groaned loudly annoyed by his slow wit he flinched. She got up and pointed at people crowds creeping to the portal with Natalie and Luka guiding them to safty on the otherside.

"Let's go, it's our shift now" She stated.

Following her they glimpsed Natalie being herself brightly smiling and talking to a half-bread kid while Luka coldly points at Portel with roboticly advising them to stay in line or they will get a beat up.

At first, she was amazed by how fast he acted like nothing had happened after injecting himself with anesthetic drug to lessen this pain.

"My arm can be replaced when I get back, hopefully..." That what he said to stop worrying about him.

Luka's chin finally came to rest with a sigh shifting his glance on Sky and Feng coming over, sorrow and guilt was written on their faces toward his left shoulder that was wrapped by thin fabric stained in dry blood.

Natalie's healing mana seemed to be upgraded and played on his favor, although it was only enough to seal his wound but was life saver at that time.

"You guys rest now. One...two...three..., fifty left? That's good for a slow progress, we may actually make it before the day ends".

He wouldn't refuse resting for a bit for saving some energy, but his body swings making Feng catchs him, he had no energy to save.

"Y..you alright?" Feng panicked.

"A mere dizziness from blood loss, no big deal"

Feng lifts his right arm support him, he frowned not liking how careless Luka was to his wellness.

"Come on. You need to lay down for fast recovery".

Luka's corner of lips raised, trampling while stumbling couple of times on the way they squatted then let Luka leans on a wall.

"It's good they made up"

Natalie was relieved and so was Sky but soon enough her expression changed when Natalie said:

"I guess... you will be working a double shift"

Tilted her head with confusion until it hit her it's was Feng's turn and he just left with Luka. As time passes, Sky's face hint some darkness, she was running out of patience with the slaves scaring them, thus Feng took charge of the rest.

Luka sighted them from adistance, his right hand patted on his left shoulder like checking what's missing, it was weird, only the fabric is what felt real, his senses tell his arm is still there and his eyes are being decisived, but the last word was up to his mind which confirmed logically it's not. He didn't lied he was okay with it, but is not sure if he can get to use of it.

His deep thoughts were cut off here while checking what left in the ring, however, he can't get Kale out of his mind or the aggressiveness directed at Robert. Moreover, these tones of sliver stones, it seems one of the Greens is planning some big shipping and he needs to find out where they were going to take them, such amount is just worrisome to ignore.

"Luka!" Sky yelled suddenly interrupting his thoughts, she was looking down from the hole formed earlier in the upper level. Luka waved at her gazing up.

"You wouldn't believe what I've found!" She yelled.

"What?!!" He yelled back, but felt silly for the unpractical way of communication yet it'll do.

"Some Mery features,... and other things too!"

"Take them all, and direct Jim to scan any document he finds"

"Really! I can play with Jim!" She exclaimed.

'Play! For god sake Jim isn't a child toy but high intelligence product!!!' So that was his mind scoffing and couldn't spell it out, instead,... "Whatever just don't make him overd do it!" He stated. She nodded. At that point their yelling was distracting Feng as his ears are sensitive, he already had headache.

"What do you need them for Luka?"

Came Natalie asking him with a spider dangling on her arms.

"For....something later on, anyway did you put the bombs where I told you?"

Nodded affirmatively at him Natalie then inquired;

"Luka isn't better to let them investigate it instead, when we get back?"

He thought that too at first but he had something else in mind, denying the idea he replied:

"Maybe but,...I prefer this method"

To question more about what he meant wasn't smart thing to do; because at that moment his eyes flamed with hatred and rage that was sealed inside ever since he woke up.

"Luka..I really think its best... "

"Don't..." Luka emphasized halting the words in her mouth. She flinch at the sharp suddenly raised tone, he just trampled away with no more to say or to hear. For the first time, Natalie was afraid of things might happen, it was solely a feeling, an ominous one.

Kiliometers above, in the first-level, Sky swayed by greediness long a go, jamming any valuable thing inside her ring, unaware of the crimson eyes staring with amusement.

"Hmm.., what's up with this rock? So shiny!" Sky was delighted with a pure shaped stone filling her palm.

"They called diamonds poor thing"

Shocked stumbling on her steps with a turn to see Nova ghostly floating in the air with a broad expression.

"Nova! How you're here?"

Satisfied getting her attention, Nova pointed at the black lantern occupying her ear.

"As long there's demonic mana nearby, I can manifest my shadow, however..."

Running her palm passed the crystal then the diamond with disappointment, she continued...

"...I can't do much unless..."

Blinking twice waiting for the end of the sentence; "Unless what?" She wondered.

Oddly enough Nova seemed to hesitate telling her as suddenly Luka shouted from down breaking the serious vibe.

"Sky! What are you doing? Hurry up the portal is closing!"

"Too bad..." Nova showed a smirk.

With the last medium-size bag of dimond crammed into the ring, she heard Nova complaining;

"What a shame, most things hear cost a lot"

"Peep...pep?"

Apperance of Jim suddenly surprised Nova whereas Sky lifted him up then hastened to the edge jumping downward, with the levers reduced her falling speed she made a safe land.

Closer to portel where only Luka stood pressing on devices to activate the bombs. Always risky letting them explode with him and Sky were there, the ground quacks with explosion rang out through the tunnels, with rocks fell from all direction..

"Let's go!!"

That what Sky heard before entering the portal, Luka saw her out first and was right behind her.
