A step forward, Kale jumped narrowing the distance, aiming his axe to detach Sky into half, however, Feng won't allow him to do as he pleased and attack was cut short again by his claws, absorbing the damage his claws broke

into pieces from the heavy impact neglecting all the blades.

Rolling on ground and persistent on attacking, he slammed the axs onto ground, rock pieces sent fly at her. But Sky was even faster unlatching all her mana upward, gorgeous phenix of light destroyed everything on its way.

The earth beneath quakes, and the plates cover the levels above smashed sending the digging device down earth, it was falling about to crash the neath level. Kale warped thin mana layer around himself using the axe leaving the gurads who ran not to get crashed by the fallen machine.

"Everyone, get here!!!" Natalie shouted.

The trembled frightened slaves answered her call and sprinted toward her.

No matter how many times they tried to break free, Kale always caught them, and the one were caught never came back; that's why they stopped struggling for false hopes long time ago, instead accepted their reality. However, seeing these youngster fighting Kale with no fear making such damage to the camp, they sensed it,... no they knew its the one chance to grip into that dream once again, that solely reason they kept breathing for, a breeze of freedom.

Roars of bravery they never felt before, dragging their weak bodies as fast as they could. Nevertheless, and most of them were still a bit far to reach on time. Pausing Luka's healing, Natalie pointed up the staff and summoned a layer of water that shielded each salve from the fallen construction parts.

With that, the machine finally crashed trembling the ground with the dust blinding everyone's sights.

Sky got up coughing the dust out followed by Feng, they looked around hoping that Kale squashed beneath one of these big flat rocks.

In spite of what they hoped for, in high speed his figure showed up suddenly in front of them swinging axe at Sky with wicked smile.

"Got you little rat!"

Feng sensed his mischievous killing intent and tried to move his body only to kneel with trembled legs due to low essential.

Sky almost feels the wind blow on her side knowing she can't doge it when a thought invaded her mind,...is this the end? Drown in her thoughts, she didn't notice the appearance of black mana slowly gathering above, a wolf beast manifested from within trapping both her and Kale inside.

"SKY!!!'

Feng yelled trying to pull himself up despite the fatigue overcame him.

"Huh? What in the world...?!"

All his senses entered alert state of the dangerous mana, lifting his head up, he met with obscure figure outfited with closed up cloak. Floating downward, his dark hair fluttered with the wind. That in addition addition to the black domastic mana surrounding him as if they bow to his well beings.

Run out of her last drop of essential Natalie's barrier vanished, leaving the slaves unprotected. Fighting her dozing of head and

swinging vision, she gripped nearly unconscious Luka. The figure's eyes drifted on them for couple of seconds before releasing Sky out of his shapened mana on a snap of his fingers.

"Your highness?"

Natalie wipped the running blood runing her nose eyeing the demon ahead. Slaves ran with tears towrds the boy.

"Yes!! It's no mistake! It's prince Gray...he came to save us!" A slave skipped out of joy and relief.

Natalie wondered when they called him his highness, her mind inquired if he is one of the shadow lords, he looks nothing like human though, at least not that ominous aura. They are really in deep shit of he is.

Averted her eyes to the side, both of Sky and Feng are in same status as her, fatigue was written on their faces with essential barley left to keep them alive. She inclined to be more nervous knowing that they messed up badly,

He's not an alley, and a one attack is enough to make them face their doom.

Regardless of Natalie's concerns, the mysteries black figure seemed done scanning the place with his crimson. Broken rocks, fallen guards and machine's parts were scattered all over around. it as one of his people state :

"Your highness, please spare these humans, if it weren't for them we would've still been under the meracy of those wicked humans of the Greens...." A slave said but paused hearing Kale's yellings trapped inside of that dark mana thing.

"I swear I'll kill you with my own hands when I get out!"

The boy chuckled replying with horse voice:

"Bold of you to assume that I'll let you live after this,...known what you've did"

No hint of hesitant when the boy clenched his fist, following Kale screams filled the air with sound of cracking bones of his then gone quite. Blood pour out the black shape, Feng and Sky witnessed with widen eyes, and shuddered knowing a new fear and the gap between them, this boy is frighteningly powerfull.

"I'm grateful to you all" He directed his speech to young team.

Clicking his fingers, he opened a space portal behind him. The demons cried as they entered one after another, it was pure gladness with the days in hell is finally over. No more suffering and no more penality to hear of horrible humans, they were mutted at last out of fear to die.

In a final glance from the boy, his eyes fell on Luka then Natalie. Flicking his fingers again, sn extra pportal opened.

"This portal will take you to entrance of the Ryett ruins. Use it, and you will find other humans there. Whether they are your alley or foes that on you to figure. With that I repay my debt for you".

All heave a deep sigh of relief, with one of their biggest problem have just been solved. But they felt anxious to believe his words this easily, although they are desperate.

"It only last for a day before it closes"

Seeing all of his people behind the portal, he left the choice of staying her than not on their hands. Then was about to leave but stopped Sky suddenly exclaimed:

"W..ait, I...have a question, how you...do you by any chance know someone called Zen?".

The boy looked startled halting on his place, his eyes shined red like Nova when he glanced her.

"Why are you looking for him?" He asked.

"So you do know him"

He shooked his head turning round.

"No, I only heard stories about him, long time ago after the golden era"

Noted the shock expression on her face he sighed then took an earing out his pocket, like a mini black lantern and threw it her direction

that she catched.

"I won't mind telling you, however, everything have a price. Make a contact if you really eager to know more" Said the boy walking through the portal and disappeared with it closed upon him.

'After the golden era?' Sky's thought surfaced.

At that moment, Sky thought about Nova and her words, that this Zen was a baby when she saw him last time, she lived long enough though, wouldn't that means she was a shadow lord during that specific time?

Not wanting to busy her brain any more, she dropped her body into ground. She reposed taking a deep breath with things being over. But then again, what happen to Luka was shocking, he was with the most damaged of them all.

Feeling wimp and pain, she pulled her body up once more, and dragged her legs toward Nataile, Feng joined the group hardly taking stable steps with half lid opened.

"Luka?"

Hearing no response made her chest clench, she was worried.

"He's just unconscious, its seem the….."

Natalie paused with her tears fell down to her cheeks. Sky patted her head, then drew low potions from her ring. Handing it to both of them, they quitly drank it.

"If he wakes right now he will start to complain about our first priority, right?" Feng said patting Luka's shoulder.

They showed a bitter faint smiles knowing he's right, then they raised up on their feet.

"We only have one day. I hope that is enough to send everyone out from all the three levels" Said Sky.

"I'll go gather the people on the first level"

Feng stated then sprinted into the tunnel that Kale came from. Proceeding with their original plan, Sky followed him to clear the second one leaving both of Luka and Natalie on the third one.

Once Natalie finished her potion and regained some energy, she began gathering the rest of people and guides them one by one to enter the portal. It took plenty of time since there were more than hundred human including the twenty other half breeds of all kinds in sum.

She worked hard to get everyone to safty while glancing Luka's status from time to time.

Whipping her forehead from sweat, she flinched at the big hole Sky suddenly made with her affinty. She was amazed looking at Sky who always holds back during the trainings for some reason to point gets on Hurricane's nerves, she've been scolded for that couple of time.

"Aha...to think I would miss those days"

Shake her head in sadness, she heard her name being faintly called. Turning lively round, she saw Luka struggling to sit straight and barely taking his breath. Her legs moved with almost teary-eyes giving him a hug when she reached him and cried over his shoulder.

"…don't cry Natalie, it's a bad sign, and I'm not dead yet you know" With his left arm hugging her back, he reassured her that he's fine.
