When Dragon Balls Descend Upon Marvel

Smith watched as John clutched his wife, overwhelmed with emotion. The members of the Assassin Alliance stood nearby, some curiously eyeing the resurrected Helen, others wondering about the seven Doragon Bōru (Dragon Balls) that had scattered.

A thought emerged quietly in everyone's mind: if they were to fall in battle one day, could they also be brought back through the Dragon Balls?

Unlike the others, Smith Dole turned inward and accessed his system space. The previously inactive three dark wish-draw icons were now lit up again. He first selected the Character Wish Draw.

Staring up at the floating meteors, he noticed the lineup had changed: Young Gokū, Young Kuririn, Yamucha, Tenshinhan, Chaozu, Kame-Sennin (Master Roshi), Tao Pai Pai, Tsuru-Sennin (Crane Hermit), Nam, Elder Piccolo Daimaō... and even deeper within a light orb, he saw Adult Gokū.

Smith Dole's eyes lit up. The most valuable pulls here were Gokū and Piccolo Daimaō—Saiyan and Namekian bloodlines respectively. Though uncertain of Young Gokū's exact strength, the turtle emblem on Gokū, Kuririn, and Yamucha's gi marked them as strong martial artists. Pulling Nam would be the worst-case scenario; Tenkū Jūji Ken (Heavenly Cross Fist) wouldn't be useful going forward.

Without hesitation, Smith activated the draw. One of the characters fired a Kamehameha (Kamehame Wave) upward, shattering a light orb.

[Congratulations! You've obtained Character Card: Young Son Gokū.]

Before him appeared a card depicting Gokū in Kame-Sennin's gi, wielding the Nyoi-bō (Power Pole) and standing on Kintoun (Flying Nimbus), mid-Kamehameha.

Skills: Kamehameha, Kame-Sennin-Ryū Martial Arts (Turtle School).

Upon use, you will obtain Young Gokū's bloodline and abilities.

Smith grinned. Outside of the unreachable Adult Gokū, this was the best pull. Even Piccolo Daimaō couldn't compare.

While the exact power level was unclear, Gokū's outfit indicated he had at least 180 from the 22nd Tenkaichi Budōkai, or possibly even 260 from the Piccolo Daimaō battle.

Either case was a massive power-up. Most importantly, Gokū's Saiyan bloodline opened clear paths to future growth. Yamucha had boosted his power, yes, but his potential was limited and he lacked ki control. Now, Smith had all the essentials.

Satisfied, he moved to the Item Wish Draw.

Looking up at the celestial vault, he saw countless orbs containing items: Senzu Beans (single, bag, jar), Saiyan space pods, Namekian ships, Freeza Force ships, Super Holy Water, First/Second Gen Battle Armor, Healing Chambers, Gravity Rooms, Capsule Spaces, Scouters...

Some items even had multiple variants. One orb even held Future Bulma's Time Machine.

Smith wanted everything—except Capsule Spaces, the least useful for him.

He triggered the draw. His image released a Kamehameha, shattering another orb.

[Congratulations! You've obtained Healing Chamber.]

Perfect. With the Saiyan bloodline, it was an ideal synergy.

Gravity Rooms could be built using Marvel tech. No problem there.

Two draws in, both perfectly matched. Now onto the Partner Wish Draw.

He activated it, peering into the sky again. Names emerged: Sea Turtle, Upa, Bra, Oolong, Puar, the King, Android 8, Pilaf, Dende, Karin-sama... even Bulma, Babidi, and Kaiōshin (Supreme Kai) appeared. The deeper figures remained unclear.

Though surprised by the presence of gods and villains, Smith kept expectations modest. He couldn't handle Babidi or Kaiōshin yet anyway.

Draw initiated. A Kamehameha blasted through the sky, and a new card descended.

[Congratulations! You've obtained Support-Type Partner: Bulma.]

Smith's eyes widened.

This was a jackpot.

A genius scientist on his side meant he didn't need anyone else for a Gravity Room. She could develop a Dragon Radar, work on Capsule tech...

Smith could hardly contain his excitement.

With all three draws complete, he didn't immediately activate any of the rewards. Instead, he opened his eyes and ordered:

"Return to base."

...

Assassin Alliance Headquarters.

Back at the textile factory, Smith said a few words and immediately entered the training room.

His consciousness dove into the system space. The Young Gokū character card appeared in his hand. A thought crossed his mind: would the Saiyan tail grow after use?

He kind of hoped so. That tail was key to Great Ape transformations and even the route to Super Saiyan 4.

"Use."

The card dissolved into light and merged with his body. A surge of energy coursed through him. The Saiyan bloodline took hold, and a tail sprouted from his lower back, ripping through his pants and curling around his waist like a belt.

His scouter began to spike: 9, 30, 90, 150...

It finally settled at 189.

Smith blinked.

Apparently, this was post-Tenkaichi Budōkai Gokū. His original power was also stacked on.

A monumental leap.
