WHAT A TWIST!

Chapter 125: Chapter 125;THE ACCIDENT

Chapter 125

The fluorescent lights overhead cast an unforgiving glare on Hyun Min's slumped figure, the last one remaining in the deserted exam hall. The air was heavy with the scent of stale air and worn-out chairs,Hyun Min's eyes felt weighed down by the burden of his thoughts, his mind a tangled web of emotions and frustrations.

As he sat there, he couldn't help but wonder why his mother was hell-bent on controlling his life. Why was she so determined to dictate his every move, to suffocate him with her expectations? The pain of his recent breakup with Sarah still lingered, a raw wound that refused to heal. His mother's meddling had driven a wedge between them, and now Sarah was gone, leaving Hyun Min feeling lost and alone.

The thought of his upcoming 20th birthday only added to his misery. He had been looking forward to celebrating it with Sarah, but now that seemed impossible.

With a heavy sigh, Hyun Min stood up, his movements slow and labored, like he was being dragged towards some unknown fate. He trudged out of the exam hall, his feet echoing off the empty corridors, the bright sunlight outside a harsh contrast to the dimly lit hall.

As he entered his room, he collapsed onto the bed, shedding his clothes like a worn-out skin. The cool water of the shower was a welcome respite from the turmoil that had been brewing inside him. He stayed under the water for a long time, letting it wash away his pain.

After the bath, he dressed in black baggy pants, an orange jacket and a black t shirt underneath, the vibrant color a small rebellion against the darkness that had consumed him. He let his hair fall across his face, a curtain of black silk that hid his eyes.

As he headed out, he was startled by a girl who was about to knock on the door, a tray of cupcakes in her hands. Their eyes met,Wasn't this Sarah's friend? The girl's eyes widened in surprise, and Hyun Min felt a spark of recognition ignite within him.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, his voice low and rough, his eyes narrowing slightly as he took in the cupcakes.

The girl smiled, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "I was looking for you," she said, her voice soft and gentle. "I brought cupcakes."

Hyun Min's eyes lingered on the cupcakes, his mind racing with questions. What did she want?

As Hyun Min's gaze locked onto Racy, his eyebrow arched in incredulity, his voice laced with skepticism. "Did sarah send you to me?" he asked.

Racy's smile was sweet, but her eyes gleamed with a mischievous light, betraying her true intentions. "Oh, Sarah? I couldn't care less about her," she said, her voice dripping with disdain. "I was just pretending to be friends with her. She's not even on my radar."

Hyun Min's expression darkened, his eyes narrowing as he grasped Racy's face roughly. "Don't tell me you betrayed her," he growled, his voice low and menacing, his grip tightening around her jaw.

Racy's eyes widened, her face pale, as she shook her head frantically. "You're...hurt..ing me" she protested, her voice trembling, her words tumbling out in a desperate rush.

Hyun Min's grip on her face tightened, his eyes blazing with anger. He pushed her aside, shaking his head in disgust. "You're not worth my time," he said, his voice firm, his tone dismissive.

Racy's face fell,She blocked him, arranging the cupcakes, her hands shaking as she held out the tray. "I made them myself," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Won't you try one?"

Hyun Min turned back to her, his eyes cold and distant. "Stay away from me," he said, his voice firm, his tone unyielding.

Racy's face twisted in anger, her eyes flashing with resentment. "What do you see in her, anyway?" she spat, her voice venomous. "She's not even attractive, not even good-looking. You're so cute, and you're settling for someone who's not even worthy of you."

Hyun Min's eyes locked onto hers, his expression unreadable. "You were like this all along," he said, his voice low and even. "A bad friend, all along. You pretended to be something you're not..I can't be with you either."

With that, he turned and walked away, leaving Racy standing alone, her face twisted in anger and her heart burning with resentment.

Hyun Min trudged out of the school, his hands shoved deep into his pockets as he scanned the crowded hallway. He had sent Sarah multiple messages, but she was ignoring him, refusing to reply to any of his texts. He just wanted to clear his head.

As he walked out of the school compound, he didn't notice the sleek white Ferrari parked discreetly by the side of the road. The Ferrari's tinted windows reflected the sunlight, making it impossible to see who was inside. But the occupant of the car was definitely watching Hyun Min, their eyes fixed intently on him as he walked away from the school.

Hyun Min hailed a taxi and climbed in, still lost in thought. The Ferrari started its engine and pulled out of its parking spot, following the taxi at a discreet distance. Hyun Min was oblivious to the fact that he was being tailed, his mind consumed by thoughts of Sarah and their complicated relationship.

The taxi wound its way through the crowded streets, the Ferrari following closely behind. Hyun Min stared out the window, his eyes unfocused as he replayed the events of the past few days in his head. He was so caught up in his own thoughts that he didn't even notice the Ferrari following him. But the occupant of the car was definitely paying attention, their eyes fixed intently on Hyun Min's taxi as it navigated through the traffic.

As the taxi navigated through the busy main road, the Ferrari followed closely behind. Suddenly, a large garbage truck swerved into the taxi's lane, its massive wheels screeching as it careened out of control. The taxi driver slammed on the brakes, but it was too late. The truck's rear end swung out, clipping the taxi and sending it spinning across the asphalt.

The impact was intense, with the sound of crunching metal and shattering glass filling the air. The taxi's window exploded, sending shards of glass flying everywhere. Hyun Min cried out in pain as a piece of glass lodged itself in his side.

The Ferrari, which had been following behind the taxi, managed to stop just in time, its tires screeching as it came to a halt mere feet away from the accident scene.

The taxi driver had indeed passed out due to the impact of the accident, slumping forward against the steering wheel. The sound of his body hitting the horn filled the air, adding to the chaos of the scene.
