Chapter 103: Chapter 103;RAINING TEXTS

Chapter 103

**Sarah pov**

As I stood in my room, I gathered the bags from our shopping trip, carrying them over to the table. Racy lingered at the entrance, her eyes fixed on me with a curious expression.

"Aren't we going to prep the thank you dinner?" she asked, her brow furrowed slightly. "What about your friend?" she added, her tone laced with a hint of inquiry.

I met her gaze, hesitating for a moment before responding. "Well, something came up, and he had to attend to it," I explained, trying to downplay the situation.

"wouldn't it have been wiser to bring it up at the supermarket? We could have headed back home, and we could have fetched the groceries at his convenience."she said her eyes narrowing.

I ignored her.

Racy's gaze locked onto mine, her eyes blazing with an unnerving intensity. "I knew it, I knew it. Your friend is shady," she said, her voice laced with a potent mix of intrigue and apprehension.

I swiveled to face her, my features schooled into a mask of inquiry. "Shady?" I echoed, my tone measured.

The atmosphere was thick with unspoken queries, and then Racy unleashed a verbal grenade. "What if he's playing you?" Her voiceband was low, but the words detonated like a bomb, leaving me to wrestle with the disquieting prospect.

As I stood in the dim light of my room, laughter bubbled up from somewhere deep inside me. "What do you mean?" I chuckled, trying to mask my growing annoyance with humor. Racy had a knack for pushing my buttons, and tonight was no different.

She smirked, her confidence unwavering. "Oh, come on, you know exactly what I'm talking about," she teased, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

My patience wore thin, the camaraderie we usually shared feeling strained in that moment. With a somewhat forced chuckle still hanging in the air, I decided enough was enough. "Good night, Racy," I said, my tone taking on a firmness that brooked no argument.

Without waiting for her reply, I gently but firmly pushed her toward the door. "Seriously, I need some space to think," I added, forcing a lightness that barely disguised my irritation.

Racy laughed again, but I could see the surprise flicker across her face as I turned and swung the door shut behind her. The dull thud of the door reverberated through the quiet space, a stark punctuation to our conversation.

As I leaned against the door, I could still hear her chuckling on the other side, her laughter mingling with my own frustration. I sighed, rubbing my temples. Why did I let her get under my skin like this?

I could almost hear her playful retort linger in the air, a reminder that our banter was a double-edged sword, but for now, I craved solitude. With a heavy exhale, I sank down onto my bed, staring at the ceiling. The silence welcomed me, wrapping around me like a soft blanket, drowning out the echoes of laughter that only a moment ago filled the room. Tonight, I needed to sort through my thoughts without distraction.

As the taxi navigated through the rain-soaked streets, Hyun Min settled into the worn leather seat, letting the warmth envelop him like a gentle hug. The rhythmic beat of the raindrops on the roof created a soothing melody, and he felt his eyelids growing heavy. The drive from the estate to school was a lengthy one, an hour and a half of quiet contemplation.

He pulled out his phone, the screen lighting up like a beacon in the dim interior of the taxi. His fingers danced across the keyboard as he typed out a message to Sarah. "Are you asleep?" The response came almost immediately, as if she'd been waiting for him.

"No... not yet," she replied.

Hyun Min's lips curled into a smile as he typed out another question. "Why?" The response came quickly, her words spilling onto the screen like a confession.

"Watching a new drama... it's so good and intense that I can't bring myself to sleep yet!"

Before Hyun Min could respond, another message popped up from Sarah. "Are you in your room?"

He chuckled, his fingers flying across the keyboard. "Not yet... on my way to school now!"

The exchange was effortless, like a dance they'd perfected over time.Sarah message came in."It's raining... hope you have an umbrella?"

Hyun min smiled as he typed a response. "Am all drenched!"

As the taxi pulled up to the school, Hyun Min's fingers flew across the keyboard, exchanging playful banter with Sarah. "You must look hot being drenched" she teased, and Hyun Min's face warmed with a blush. He sent a shy emoji, his heart skipping a beat.

The taxi door swung open, and Hyun Min stepped out into the rain-soaked night. The cool air slapped him awake, and he shivered, his clothes clinging to his skin. He paid the driver and dashed into the school, the warm glow of the lights enveloping him like a hug.

Some students lingered in the corridors, chatting and laughing, curfew time had been extended.

His eyes were fixed on his phone, his heart racing with anticipation. He walked straight to his room, unlocking the door and slipping inside.

The room was quiet,Hyun Min's phone buzzed, and he smiled, knowing it was Sarah. He opened the message, and a picture of her flashed on the screen. She'd taken a selfie, her hair pulled back in a ponytail, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

"How is it?" she asked, her message popping up below the picture. Hyun Min's fingers flew across the keyboard. "Cute," he typed, adding a love emoji.

Sarah's response came quickly. "Are you here in school now?" Hyun Min smiled, feeling a sense of connection. "Yes!" he typed, his fingers moving swiftly across the screen.

The text message from Sarah flashed on his phone. "Can we still meet tonight? I'm dying to see you," she asked, her words punctuated by the soft glow of the screen. He hesitated for a moment before responding. "I'd love to, but I'm absolutely freezing here..can't come outside. My toes are numb," he typed, his fingers stumbling over the keys as the chill of the night air seeped into his bones.

The cursor blinked, awaiting her response. Then, her reply came: "Let me come to your room? I promise I'll warm you up." The words danced on the screen, a tantalizing prospect that made his heart skip a beat.
