Warlock of Oceans: My Poseidon System

Chapter 126: Entrance Scaling Exams (8)

"Wait, wait, wait! No! I can't win! I can't win!" I shouted, knowing I had to retreat and come up with a different plan. But, before I could even turn to escape, golden threads blended into the hard white roof we were on, yanked upwards, and tangled themselves all over my limbs.

Unable to even twitch a muscle, sweat began to drip from my forehead. The boy slowly walked towards me, his smile slowly fading, and a pair of cold, demonic eyes landed on me, seemingly ready to tear me apart.

"K-Killing is forbidden… killing is forbidden…" I reminded the boy, but it seemed as if he couldn't hear me as he soon reached his hand out toward my face. I nearly pissed my pants as his eyes dug into my skull, and his fingers grazed my cheeks, temples, and forehead.

"*sigh*... This is so boring…"

All of a sudden, he lowered his hand, and his expression turned into that of pure and utter boredom. He was bored. Fighting me. Fighting the entire class. Even with all of these rumors, he seemed as if he didn't give the tiniest of shits.

As he walked away, leaving me to escape from the loosening strings wrapping around my limbs, I had a sudden idea. He may be from a large family, but from what I've heard, their relationship has been strained. So, that must mean he's tight on money, and when somebody is poor, they're desperate to collect any last ounce of cash they can possibly obtain.

If I can possibly get him under my control with money, not only can I get him to be a loyal dog that will do anything as long as I pay him, but I can take the first spot every time and make my family proud of me. I practically had an infinite amount of money, so this wouldn't be too hard… right?

"Hey, wait…" I called out to the boy. He slowly turned around, his bored eyes landing on me with a hidden ferociousness. "... How much do you want? I'll pay you to give me the first spot."

I needed to start with a small win before I roped him in to be my loyal servant… though, of course, I did realize that wouldn't be as easy as I had initially thought. He was way too intimidating for me to try and gain the upper hand, so I had to play my cards well before this beast devours me whole.

"I don't care about the first spot, nor do I care about money," He yawned, walking over to me and then picking me up by the back of my shirt. He carried me towards the edge of the roof, and as I flailed my limbs, trying to fight back against him, he just smirked.

"H-Hey, let's talk about this. I want to converse my mana and stamina for any of the other top twenty I couldn't persuade. I'm sure most of them just took the money and are now aiming for the top spot… s-so, just let me down. I-I'll pay you…." I stuttered, slowly activating some of my skills just in case he actually dropped me.

"A million dollars. A million dollars and I'll set you down."

"Tch… yeah, right," I muttered, whipping my leg around his neck, and with my body being reinforced with several buffs, I reversed our position and sent him flying off of the roof. But even as his body was embraced by the net of zero gs, he still looked as bored as ever.

Quickly, I returned to the middle of the roof. I continuously looked at the edge, shifting my eyes over each and every corner of where he fell from, just knowing he would come back up. But, before I could even realize it, two hands clapped against my ears, sending me into an immediate dizzy wobble.

"Ugh… how did you… get around so fast?" I muttered, seeing the swerving image of Cyrus, whose fingers extended with blue strings. They all rippled like water, showing his next moves as they whipped upwards and wrapped around me.

All of a sudden, I felt one of my ribs break as the strings tightened around my torso. I screamed with pain, but that exhale of breath only allowed the strings to tighten even further around me. It hurt. It really fucking hurt. I immediately began to cry, but this cold and emotionless being did nothing but stare down at me as I collapsed to my knees.

"K-Killing is forbidden…."

"I know… that's why you're going to sleep for a while…." The boy muttered, and as I looked up from my tilted position, a foot came up against my chin, immediately knocking my brain around and causing me to pass out. It was painless and instant.

(Petra POV)

I was scared. I was blindfolded and tied down. Where was Mari? Where was Asger? Where was Seal? I wanted to see them again… but my eyes were blinded by pitch-black darkness. Seeing this darkness again made me want to cry, but I had already matured past that point, according to Mari… but… but… I just couldn't stop the tears from flowing.

"I-It's okay, Petra… just calm down. I-I'll get us out of this- AHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Mari suddenly let out a blood-curdling scream right beside me. I struggled and kicked against my chair whilst my sister yelled in pain. Asger growled against the muzzle they presumably placed inside his mouth.

I was scared. I was so scared. Were they going to make me scream in pain as well? I don't want to be hurt. I don't want to be hurt again. Being hurt is scary… I don't want to be in pain. Pain hurts.

Suddenly, a cold hand that shook ever so lightly gripped my shin and pressed down on my upper thigh. The hand shook as if it was nervous. No, it was scared, but still, they pressed down on my thigh whilst tearing my lower leg upwards.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!" I let out a high-pitched scream before passing out. The pain was too much. "Seal…"

(Evelyn POV)

SLAP

As my eyes slowly began to open, a stinging sensation ripped across my face. It stung and burned like crazy, sending me into a wail of pain. I whimpered as my hand caressed my sore cheek, and two glaring eyes filled with so much hate attempted to rip their way into my soul.

"Hey, tell her what you just told me," The boy announced, turning to another boy that was tied up right next to me. But, he only continued to whimper and cry as he caressed his neck with bruise marks all over it. "TELL HER WHAT YOU FUCKING TOLD ME!"

Upon hearing Cyrus scream at him, he proceeded to cry while reluctantly informing me of what had happened. Although, I could already tell they followed through with my plan… causing me to smile so widely that I felt my dried-out makeup begin to crack.

"*sniff*... W-We broke th-their legs… th-they can't move… sh-she ordered us to do it! Don't take it out on us!"

CRACK

I heard the boy's skull literally crack as a foot came across his ear, sending him flying across the roof, which had even more unconscious bodies stacked up. There had to be at least fifteen now, only ten away from a fourth of our class.

The boy glared down at me, but now I felt a bit more confident now that my plan had pulled through. The one weakness the boy had was finally pulling through. The one weakness that could allow me to control him finally revealed itself to me.

"I-If you don't let me go, I'll order my servants to break even more of their-"

BAM

"*gasp*... *gasp… *gasp*... ack… ah… ack…"

A foot pressed so deep into my solar plexus it nearly tickled the bottom of my heart. The boy's eyes told me he didn't give a single fuck, despite the fact that with one word whilst my [Mind Control] was still active, I could get them to kill this boy's siblings.

But I could hardly think straight. I couldn't breathe. I could only exhale the remaining bits of oxygen left in my lungs. It hurt. It hurt so fucking bad, and now that my previous injuries were beginning to reveal themselves again, the world spun and spun and spun whilst my head began to heat up to the temperature of a thousand suns.
Your next journey awaits at empire

I'm gonna die. I'm gonna actually die. I'm going to die here.

I realized that if I ordered my classmates to kill his siblings or hurt them even more, this boy would just straight up kill me. There was no doubt in my mind that he was going to kill me. I had to escape. I had to leave.

"Tell me where they are unless you want me to cripple you for life. And if they even touch another hair on their body, I swear to every fucking god in this corrupted cosmos that I will annihilate every single ounce of your being."

"Y-yes…. Yes… the cave… th-the cave towards the north."

He glared at me for a couple of seconds, trying to determine if I was lying, and eventually left in the blink of an eye. He may have had some doubts, but I was so scared that I could only tell the truth. Everything but the truth was rid from my mind in that very moment.
