Warhammer: Saiyan Adopted by the Wolf King

Hearing these words, Caesar looked at Axis with a face full of hope, desperately wishing he would say, "These weaklings are not even worth my time," and finally bring an end to this agonizing training session.

But Axis's answer only let him down.

"Let me keep sparring with them! I'll use my energy to strengthen their bodies while I'm at it," Axis said.

These golden kernels were still quite resilient. 

Aside from them, only the Primarchs could really stand up to him.

But if they didn't awaken the essence of the Warp, even the Primarchs wouldn't be able to defeat him.

There was no way he could really ask the Emperor himself to come down, right?

So, these Custodes would just have to make do.

Besides, the Custodes could still get stronger. 

Axis was curious to see what kind of transformation would occur if he infused them with his ki at the moment. 

After all, before this, he had just been an ordinary Saiyan.

But now, after his transformation, he was a true Super Saiyan. 

The strength of his energy had undergone a qualitative leap.

"I understand. Then let's announce the Emperor's decree now!

"Axis, you are hereby appointed as the Shield Captain of these sixteen Custodes, taking command of this elite squad," Malcador declared.

The dozen or so Custodes were nearly in disbelief when they heard this. 

The rank of Shield Captain among the Custodes was an actual position of power, not just some honorary title.

Normally, a Custodes would have to serve for at least a century in which the time period they have to earn sufficient merit, deeds, and the emperor's favor, before earning any sort of title, and these were honorary ranks.

Only after that could one be promoted to Shield Captain and lead a Custodes squad. 

Axis obviously didn't meet any of the requirements for promotion.

He hadn't even gone through the ceremony where the Emperor personally presented weapons and armor, a ritual that marked the formal induction into the Custodes.

Some of the other Custodes looked at Caesar, hoping he would object, but to everyone's surprise, Caesar was the first to bow to Axis.

"I offer you my highest respect, Shield Captain Axis!" Caesar saluted with the Imperial Aquila gesture before Axis.

Caesar had known for decades just how much importance the Emperor placed on Axis. All of this had been the Emperor's arrangement. 

That alone was reason enough.

So there was no need to make things difficult, following this powerful Shield Captain would only help them carry out the Emperor's will even better.

"Hahaha! You don't have to be so formal, Caesar!" Axis laughed, sweeping his gaze over the other Custodes.

After two or three seconds of hesitation, the rest of the Custodes joined Caesar in bowing and saluting to Axis, acknowledging him as their Shield Captain.

Seeing this scene, Malcador nodded in satisfaction, Axis had successfully earned the Custodes' recognition.

"Axis, your power armor and weapons are already being forged. And, what kind of power weapon do you want?" Malcador asked.

"Give me a pair of power gauntlets! I prefer close-combat weapons," Axis replied.

After all, the thrill of hand-to-hand combat was what Saiyans loved the most!

"I understand. For now, focus on training with them. I'm curious to see the results of your energy-based enhancement," Malcador said, waving his hand as he turned and left the training chamber.

In the days that followed, Axis stayed there, getting to know and sparring with his new subordinates.

"Caesar, you're the only one I really know here. Can you introduce the rest of our colleagues to me?" Axis asked.

Caesar nodded, and starting from the first Custodes, he introduced the other fifteen members to Axis, helping him get acquainted with his new team.

"All right, now everyone, sit cross-legged beside me and form a circle. Then, join hands with the person next to you. I'm going to use my energy to strengthen your bodies," Axis announced.

Hearing this, Caesar nodded to his comrades, and the Custodes all removed their power armor, sitting hand-in-hand in a circle, while Axis grabbed the wrists of two Custodes on either side and sat down with them.

Axis then began channeling his powerful Super Saiyan enhanced ki into the Custodes.

The ki of a Super Saiyan was far wilder and more savage than ordinary ki, but after years of tempering his will, Axis could keep this energy relatively calm when not transformed.

No one would have expected such ferocity from Axis while he wasn't even transformed.

This energy was much stronger than that of an ordinary Saiyan! Through his hands, it flowed into the bodies of the other Custodes.

Axis could clearly sense his energy flowing through the sixteen Custodes, strengthening their cells, nourishing their bodies, and making them more resilient.

The Custodes themselves felt the change in their bodies. It was a sensation impossible to put into words.

It was like soaking in a warm spring, basking in sunlight, or even returning to the safety of the womb, a sensation of utter comfort and warmth.

Axis's energy flowed through them like a golden stream, cleansing every inch of their flesh and blood.

Their bodies, already genetically enhanced, now began to subtly change as this foreign energy nourished them.

"Mmm…" Caesar frowned slightly.

He could feel his muscle fibers trembling and his bone density increasing.

Even his neural responses became sharper, and the other Custodes showed similar expressions.

Axis closed his eyes and focused, carefully guiding the flow of energy. 

The Custodes' bodies were already far beyond normal humans, their genetic structure inherently stable, and the energy acted as a catalyst, unlocking even more of their potential.

After eight hours, Axis stopped transmitting his ki and drew it back into himself.

The Custodes slowly opened their eyes, released each other's hands, and began to stretch and move.

They could feel the difference immediately. Their strength, speed, endurance, even senses had all improved noticeably.

"This is… incredible."

One Custodes clenched his fist, his knuckles cracking crisply. "My strength has increased."

"My reaction speed too," another said, moving his hand so fast it left afterimages.

Caesar stood up, took a deep breath, then suddenly punched the floor.

Boom! 

The reinforced metal floor of the training room was left with a shallow dent.

"This is only the initial strengthening. If you continue to receive my energy over time, your bodies will be further enhanced by its power and become even stronger," Axis explained.

Just eight hours of Super Saiyan enhanced ki nurturing equaled a year of him using his ordinary Saiyan ki. 

The Custodes' combat strength had increased by at least several dozen points.
