UCHIHA JOURNEY TO MULTIVERSE

Chapter 21: night banquet

The sea was a mystery to most Uchiha. In all the clan's history, few had ever seen its endless blue expanse or tasted its salt wind. Now, with the world behind them smoldering in suspicion and hate, two hundred Uchiha stood on the rocky shore of an uncharted island, exiles forging a new beginning.

The first days were harsh. Supplies were limited, and the forested center of the island offered little but tangled roots and wary birds. But the Uchiha were survivors, and Mali—now seven, but carrying a leader's burden—was quick to adapt. He remembered the lessons of earth release: the land could be shaped, if you had the will and the chakra.

Building a Home with Earth Release

Mali knelt on the sand, pressing his palms to the ground. His chakra flowed into the earth, and with practiced focus, he molded the terrain. The ground trembled, rising and folding into thick, sturdy walls. Others joined him, combining their chakra to raise shelters, carve out fire pits, and even channel fresh water from underground springs. Earth Release: Earthen Dome, Earth Style Wall, and rampart techniques turned barren rock into a budding village.

Within hours, the Uchiha had the beginnings of a settlement: rows of simple, stone-walled homes, protected by a defensive barrier and camouflaged from above. The children watched in awe as their elders shaped the earth, some already dreaming of the day they'd wield such power themselves.

Feasting from the Sea

Food was the next challenge. The island's forest yielded only bitter roots and a few wild fruits, but the sea—vast and untapped—teemed with life. Uchiha scouts, never trained for fishing, improvised with kunai and chakra threads, snaring fish and crabs from the shallows. Some, emboldened by hunger, waded into the surf and wrestled with the tide, returning triumphant with armfuls of wriggling catch.

That night, the clan gathered around a great fire. Fish sizzled on makeshift grills, their scent mingling with the smoke. For the first time since their flight, laughter echoed among the stones. Mali, his face flushed from effort and pride, watched as the youngest children tasted grilled seafood for the first time—eyes wide, mouths full, the bitterness of exile momentarily forgotten.

Raigen, Mali's grandfather, raised a cup of water and toasted the clan. "We are Uchiha. We endure. Tonight, we celebrate our new beginning."

A Banquet of Hope

The banquet was simple, but it was a feast in spirit. Grilled fish, wild greens, and the last of their rice were shared among all. Stories were told—of old Konoha, of ancestors, and of dreams for the future. Even the rescued Uzumaki mothers and their newborns were welcomed, their sorrow eased by the warmth of the fire and the promise of safety.

Mali made sure to visit each group, offering comfort and encouragement. He knew the wounds of betrayal and loss ran deep, but tonight, they were a family again. The Sharingan, once a symbol of pride and suspicion, now watched over the island as a promise: never again would they be powerless.

Storms on the Horizon

Far across the sea, the world was not so peaceful. News of the Uchiha exodus had spread to every corner of the shinobi world. In Konoha, the villagers' hatred festered, fueled by rumors and grief. The remaining Uchiha—barely a hundred souls—became scapegoats for the Nine-Tails' destruction. Children were shunned in the streets, elders spat upon, and the clan's compound was watched day and night by ANBU.

"It's only a matter of time," whispered a merchant. "The Uchiha will bring another disaster."

In the council chambers, Danzo pressed for action. "We cannot allow the radicals to regroup. Send Root. Find Mali and his company. Eliminate the threat."

ANBU teams were dispatched, slipping through the forests and across the waves, searching for any sign of the exiles. But the sea was vast, and the Uchiha's earth-crafted defenses were cunningly hidden.

Whispers of War

Other villages heard the rumors, too. Some believed Konoha had been weakened, and that a new era of conflict was at hand. "Now is the time to strike," murmured a Suna jonin to his comrades. "The Leaf is vulnerable."

But for the Uchiha on their island, tonight was not about war or vengeance. It was about survival, unity, and hope. As the moon rose high, Mali stood at the edge of the new village, gazing out at the restless sea. He knew the peace would not last, but for now, it was enough.
