UCHIHA JOURNEY TO MULTIVERSE

Chapter 18: fall in coma

The sky above Konoha was a tapestry of fire and terror. The Nine-Tails, unleashed by an unknown masked man, tore through the village's heart, its tails smashing homes and sending shockwaves through the earth. The air was thick with screams, smoke, and the acrid scent of burning wood.

Deep within a sealed, restricted area of the village, Kushina Uzumaki lay exhausted on a blood-stained futon. Her crimson hair fanned out, sweat beading on her brow. The pain of childbirth had barely ended when a new horror began. Naruto's first cries mingled with the distant roars of the beast.

Minato Namikaze, battered and desperate, stood at the center of a hastily erected barrier. He had teleported Kushina and their newborn son to this hidden place, hoping to shield them from the chaos outside. His hands trembled as he reinforced the seals, chakra burning through his veins. He knew the masked enemy was after the jinchūriki and her child.

Outside, the Nine-Tails battered against the village's defenses. ANBU and Jonin scrambled to evacuate civilians, but the beast's power was overwhelming. The Hokage's orders were clear: protect the people at all costs.

Suddenly, a ripple of chakra—so immense it warped the very air—flared near the barrier. Uchiha Mali's clone, forged with chakra and physical strength far beyond any ordinary shinobi, materialized at the edge of the restricted zone. The clone's eyes glowed, Sharingan spinning, as it assessed the situation.

Inside the barrier, Minato sensed the surge. "Who's there?" he demanded, kunai ready.

Before he could act, the masked man—Obito—appeared, his single Sharingan burning with malice. With a flicker, he shattered the outer seals. The Nine-Tails, sensing its target, lunged for Kushina and the newborn.

Minato moved with blinding speed, placing himself between the beast and his family. He hurled kunai, weaving the Flying Thunder God technique, but exhaustion slowed him. The Nine-Tails' claw descended, intent on crushing Kushina and Naruto.

In that instant, Uchiha Mali's clone tore through the barrier—a feat no ordinary shinobi could manage. The clone's chakra flared, disrupting the fox's attack for a split second. It grabbed Kushina, yanking her and the child away from the direct path of destruction. The Nine-Tails' claw struck the ground, shattering stone and sending debris flying.

The clone's body flickered, its chakra burning out from the strain. As it faded, it locked eyes with Minato, conveying a silent message: You are not alone in this fight.

Minato, bleeding and barely conscious, used the last of his strength. He summoned the Reaper Death Seal, channeling his life force into the jutsu. With trembling hands, he split the Nine-Tails' chakra—half sealed into Kushina, half into Naruto. The process was agony; Kushina screamed as the beast's power tore through her, while Naruto's tiny body glowed with the mark of the jinchūriki.

The masked man vanished, his plan foiled for now. The Nine-Tails, weakened and bound, thrashed one last time before falling still.

Minato collapsed beside Kushina, his breath ragged. He reached for her hand, their fingers entwining. "Naruto… live free," he whispered, his voice barely audible.

Kushina, her chakra nearly spent, pressed a trembling kiss to her son's forehead. "Be strong… my little Naruto…"

Both parents slipped into unconsciousness, their bodies battered by the ordeal, their minds teetering on the edge of life and death. The room was silent but for Naruto's soft, steady breathing.

Outside, the village was in ruins. The Uchiha's radical division had vanished into the night, their trail cold. The council would soon gather, searching for answers, but for now, all was quiet save for the distant crackle of flames.

As dawn broke, the world had changed. The Fourth Hokage and his wife lay in comas, their son alone but alive. The Nine-Tails was sealed, its fury spent. And in the shadows, those who had shaped the night's events vanished, leaving only questions and scars behind
