Chapter 185: chapter 184

As Hou watched Hamar move the laws a nagging feeling grew within his heart. His stomach dropped and he felt an itch, an itch to do something.

He couldn't get rid off that feeling and so he followed it. He didn't think about what he was doing, he just followed whatever that feeling wanted him to do.

He pushed his plans down and blood shot out into a long spike which then solidified. He squeezed his hand and released the spike from his body, holding it into his hands.

It was a makeshift sword, a sword he held up in accordance to how Hamar had taught him so long ago.

Then he breathed out and his breath was glowing, the sword shook and then started glowing a deep red colour.

He swung and a large red blade of aura shot out in the arc that the swing made. The flew through the air and hit the ground causing a dust cloud.

Hou turned towards Hamar and then alternated between Hamar and the sword in his hand, "I think...the ritual did more than I thought it would..."

Hamar let go of control over the fireball, throwing it into the sky. It flew up then exploded, sparks and embers covering the sky above them.

He turned towards Hou, "I guess we both got some benefits this time. I can use your laws and you can use my aura..."

Hou let out a breath and then walked over to Hamar, putting his hand on his shoulder, "Let's go buddy"

Then he turned away and started to walk towards the dis in the middle of the huge clearing. Hamar shook his head, "Trying to be cool huh...It's okay to be excited"

Hou smiled widened and he shook his head, but did not say anything. They did not need to say anything else, they had that human connection that didn't require words in these moments.

They collected their things, the privacy bubble dissapeared as the miasma collected in the disk again.

However as it was being collected the miasma laws Hou had haphazardly formed dissipated and split back into fog, creating a heavy haze once more.

The two stood at the edge of the clearing as they looked towards eachother and back I to the forest, almost simultaneously they spoke,

"So...How do we get back now?"

But as soon as they asked their badges shook, then a message appeared in their minds directly,

"I couldn't detect you from some sort of interference but just now you came back visible. I'll bring you back now, no need to come to class we're just ending now. Tomorrow I want to see some results, eh"

They heard Master Sheng's voice not through the ears but directly in their mind. It wasn't like it was being 'played' it was just as if it was always there.

Before either of them could say anything their vision warped. In an instant the world becomes hazy and distorted, a barrage of colours and vague shapes.

They turned into blood which spiralled together and shot towards the mansion again, back to Hou's room.

They landed back on solid ground and then wobbled while trying to stay still. Hamar touched his head and then circulated some aura to stop the dizziness,

"You also feel it, it's making me so dizzy. Its not normally so disorientating..." Hamar felt a wave of refreshment come over as he circulated aura.

Hou was bent down holding his knees, he looked up, "It could be-" he rubbed his temples, "-due to the ritual somehow, it shouldn't be too important to figure out why."

Hamar nodded but then a thought flashed by and he placed his hand on Hou's back, "You trust me, right?"

"Of course, if I didn't trust you, who would I trust?"

Hou threw down the disk again and stepped down it, creating a privacy bubble around the room.

Hamar chuckled and then then pushed Hou's back with some pressure. Then he sent his aura into his body, attempting to circulate it as he would in his own body.

If this was any other person Hamar's aura would destroy their body and kill them without any defence, but Hamar was confident this wouldn't happen.

Hou could use his aura which came from Hamar, he could feel it when it was used. Hou had become compatible with Hamar's aura as if it were his own, this is why he was confident in doing it.

Hou stood up and felt refreshed, "Is this what you feel every time you circulate aura...I guess it does seem familiar a little. But I can't tell if that's a feeling I got from you while we became one or from before-"

Hamar patted Hou's back, "It's been too long, now that we can both use each other's power this is like the good ol' days, isn't it? We can both teach the other something"

Hou smiled, "I guess we'll be even more busy now...I have cultivation to do with hopefully enough laws for both of us, mana absorption and mana circle creation, anything with Xiao Ye and Master Sheng...now add swordsmanship..."

Hamar shook his head, "Think on the bright side."

"What bright side?"

"You won't be bored haha"

Hou laughed heartedly and looked up while taking a deep breath. He breathed out, "I think this is fine for today, you get going now. Tomorrow we can figure everything out."

"I'll be on my way then, have a good one Hou" he turned the doorknob and disappeared. Hou hobbled into his room and threw himself onto his bed.

He laid on his back and covered his eyes with his hand, "Yue."

From within his physique a voice boomed, "Yes?"

"I had a thought, give me your opinion on the feasibility..."

"Give it me." Yue listened intently.

"You know how I can use you do do moves sone you can think and control the body while I'm doing things..."

"Yes..."

"...Do you think it might be possible or... feasible I should say, to have you cultivate and absorb laws all the time. So while I'm doing whatever I need to, you can use your mental energy and absorb laws for me."
