The Rejected Alpha's Vengeance

Chapter 508: Clinging To The Ruin of A Broken Heart

[RUSSEL]

The notorious Russel brothers dying had freed the others from the Cezaevi they had been sent to with the Sifir. It wasn't the best of things that they had done, but safety had become the one thing that the brothers had long ever wished for.

It wasn't as easy as all that they had imagined but right in that moment, when they felt the bands be cut and their god be lifted, they knew that something had gone terribly wrong.

The first instinct was to make a run for it, and hide until time got as old as it could get. It was their only way out, but then there was always a catch.

"I can't feel the links anymore," Amina was the first to say when they got out of the Cezaevi. She wasn't sure where they were at the moment, but what mattered was that they were out of this hellhole.

"They are dead, Amina… That is why Kurt faded," Trey said as he looked at his sister, the one girl he had left of his family.

They had been forced into the Cezaevi for their safety but right now, it didn't feel as safe. Their older siblings had all died and there is no denying that they had taken with them all the hurdles that they would ever face.

"Their magic, I can't feel it," Amina said and Trey sighed as he looked at his sister. He knew that this wasn't the kind of truth they wanted to face, but time wasn't exactly the best of things out there, no? They had fought to get to this point.

They had been told to sacrifice each other for the sake of family and in the end, only two out of the seven Russel siblings were left. It was almost like this was the blank space that none of them appreciated and perhaps they were right.

So much had gone wrong in their lives, but none of it had felt like this right here. Experience new stories on My Virtual Library Empire

"The magic will take a few hours or even days to get to us and make us the strongest, just like mother and father," Treaty said and Amina sighed.

They had been so determined to ruin the little broken Sicario girl and it seemed like that was the one thing that none of them would ever be able to do.

If she had defeated the strongest Russels, then there was no denying that Amina and Trey wouldn't be able to fight her and win.

It was common knowledge on any battlefield and the same strategy always saved lives, even though right now the mining Russel siblings were not sure if they had a course of action to take.

"Where are we right now?"

"The place where the Sifir is—"

"Sicario."

"Impossible," Trey said as he looked around them. There was no sign of any life when they were and the Sicario that was always talked about was the one place that had the largest population in the nether realm.

The people of Sicario were not only the strongest, they were advanced and had everything to keep their pack safe, even without the psycho that they had to lead them.

It was a land so big, so it was just not possible with all that population, surely, they could have known or even seen the faintest signs of life, yeah?

"No, it's not. Seb and Alex were coming to Sicario to fight the white wolf. This was the only place with the highest number of people he could leverage. Perhaps they actually did it, and they didn't die, right?" Amina asked hopefully.

She didn't want to experience what it was like to lose more of her family. It was already night five of them had already died. So, if Alex and Seb died, she wasn't sure of what she could do.

It was all just so confusing for her and she refused to be swayed by this. It wasn't fair and there was no point in holding on to it, right?

"I know you feel what I feel, Amina. We need to get to safety. If you're right, and we are in Sicario, we are the next targets. They probably already know that we are here," Trey said defeatedly as he looked at his sister.

They were still tired from all the running they had been doing with the monsters in the Cezaevi and they were not at their full strength.

This was more than they could have bargained for and it was getting clear day by day that they should have probably tried to not fuck things up for the world Sicario girl. Then again, they had been born into this madness and they had no choice but to follow it.

Was that a good enough excuse though?

"What are we supposed to do, Trey? We are in their turf. No matter what we do, they will find us and they will kill us. They won't give us the time of day. You heard what the little boy had said.

"They tore him to pieces just to patch him up and torture the hell out of Atticus with him. There is no saying what they will do to us this time. We are the enemies, Trey.

"We mean nothing to them and if our brothers are dead, we might as well walk ourselves to where they are," Amina said defeatedly as she sat on the ground. She knew that they were doomed now that they were alone.

Maybe she was just too scared because she had lost everything except her brother, or maybe she just didn't have the strength to keep this going. She had been with her brothers at every step of what they did.

They were monsters and she had embraced it, because that was what their parents had made them all into.

However, as she looked up at her youngest brother, Amina couldn't help but wonder whether she had enough strength to protect him. She was supposed to be the older sister who could make things right for them, but she was still in so much shock.

They were trapped in Sicario and they had no one to run to anymore. Their older brothers had gone to fight and had lost. So what else was there to make them believe that maybe they would have won this?

"You can't be shutting down right now, Amina. This is not on anyone. We were born to horrible parents who made us do their dirty work and made us believe that life was never going to be worth living as long as we shared the realm with the white wolf.

"And we won, all the time, but then as always, there can be a bad day at the office. Think of this one like that one day, alright? If you want us to rest, fine, I'll cast a cloaking spell and we can rest, but don't you shut down right now," Trey said as he shook his sister.

He knew she was brothers by more than she was scared to admit. At the end of the day, they had to work and prove themselves right and wrong at the same time so they could live, but right now, they had nothing worth holding on to.

They only had to wait and hope that the sun wouldn't be as cruel to them when morning came, yeah?

"But Trey, what if Mbali doesn't want me?"
