The New Elemental God

Chapter 29: Chapter 3.5 - Calder

In the beginning four souls woke up with the ability of commanding the Elements. However, when they came to their existence there was someone else waiting for them.

One older soul was born with the power to rule them all. He was called The Xenothar.

The Elements were divided between the four Elemental Gods but the Xenothar had the power to control not just the Elements but he also had the ability to create portals to other dimensions.

The Planet came to be thanks to the mysterious forces in the Universe, that attracked to one place all that was necessary for Earth to become more than a hot rock.

Once our Planet had a form, the Xenothar created a portal so the God's could watch the transformation of their home from up close.

That's how the God's Gate was created and the reason why the Elemental Gods have the power to cross between the Material and Spiritual World. The Xenothar gave it to them as a blessing.

For millions of years the Gods lived alone in the Planet until the first beam of life was created, not by them but because of them. The Elements together acting on Earth created life through evolution.

First came the bacteria and other microscopic beings that evolved until it got to the animals. They reproduced and the Earth was no longer empty.

As they always did, the Five Gods only watched these beings evolve and get more and more intelligent on their own, with just the Universe's power acting over them.

Until it came to the homosapiens. These creatures proved to be of a completely different kind, innovating and creating tools the Gods had never seen. They became fascinated by them.

So, as the human population was expanding, the Xenothar became curious and decided to go to them.

Through a portal to the Material World, he entered the new dimension alone, leaving the Elemental Gods to observe from a far.

On the ground he assumed a human form and began to interact with the first humans. He quickly started to learn about their beliefs, communication, and art.

Day by day, the Mightiest of the God's became more attached to humanity. He admired how they lived in harmony with each other, following the Elements throughout the World.

Time passed and the humans were at an impasse. Every time they had to move because of the changing seasons many died in the journey for food.

For years on a roll, the God watched the population drop and families be destroyed by hunger. Until it brought them to the edge of extinction.

Too afraid of losing the one thing that gave him joy, the Xenothar decided --against his fellow Gods advice-- to teach mankind agriculture.

After that initial blessing, the humans started to worship him. His knowledge was seen as Holy and for that he became their God.

The homosapiens is what it is today because of what the Xenothar did. Seeing the good it did to the humans and the praise he received, the God decided to spread that knowledge across the globe.

And so it began. In every new population he encountered, he helped them develop their sedentary lifestyle and they built temples for him.

After hundreds of years traveling the Earth he collected many names. Osiris for the Egyptians, Huitzilopochtli for the Aztecs, Pangu for the Chinese and so on. He also told them about the creation of our Planet and soon he was teaching more than just agriculture.

The Xenothar helped mankind develop itself beyond any living creature ever did. Proud of his creation, he lived in temples made in his homage, receiving the glory he thought he deserved.

Vanity infected his soul completely when he got to Babylonia. There he adopted his current name, one that was given to him by the people and driscribed him perfectly.

Marduk, Lord of the Gods.

Inside one of the biggest cities in the ancient world, the God was infected with an idea, to rule the humans and transform them into Gods. He then began to build what would become the greatest civilization to ever live.

Wars were battled under his name and each time the city was destroyed he with a new human name and body would rebuild it every time. That feeling of conquest spread out the globe, like a virus.

Watching the carnage that the world had become. The Four Elemental Gods decided to confront the Xenothar and put an end to the madness he created.

But it didn't work. He dismissed them right when his reign was at its peak with Alexander, the Great.

So the Gods decided to stop him. Knowing they couldn't win a fight against him, they had to try something risky.

They lured him back to the Spiritual World and imprisoned him in a special cell. The location of the prison was hidden and never revealed to anyone besides those who put him there.

On that day, the First Gods created the Four Rules and parted from the humans in a desperate attempt to stop humanity's bloodthirst, but as we know, it was too late.

The seed of greed had taken root. Humans gave him new names and slightly different backstories but the conquering essence was never forgotten.

Marduk is the strongest God who lives and he is older than any of us will ever be. Many gods before us had long feared the day when he might escape.

It is impossible to hold his Spirit for eternity.

Every new Elemental God is told this tale in order to remind ourselves of why we should stay away from the human soul.
