THE LOVE I WISHED FOR

Anna pov

I came back home the house was all silent and Edison was no where to be seen.

He isn't back from work yet.

I sat down on the couch in the living room and leaned back on the couch.

I closed my eyes and remembered what happened today.

Yes rosie is pregnant and I am happy for her. It hurt a little but it's okay.

I need to accept it and move on.

Jack is going to accept the child so it's good.

I hope both of them stays happy with the baby.

This is something I always dreamed about with jack.

But It's not me who is going to spend his future with.

It's hurts a little but that's okay.

I am not complaining but It's just....I don't know what I should feel right now.

Earlier I went to meet jinie. I told her everything and she was so angry.

But she consoled me.

I spend some time with her.

And as for jack and rosie.

They are going to marry in sometime but they want to tell everyone about it on a party.

The party is day after tomorrow they strictly told me that not to tell anybody.

They are going to reveal it in the party with our friends.

Yes our friends know about his and mine breakup.

They all were shocked caused me and Jack were so in love with each other.

We didn't told them the real reason of our breakup but we told them that we fall out of love.

Uhh..I need to relax.

My heart feels heavy.

I took a quick shower and I decided to prepare dinner.

It's my and Edison's first dinner together in this house so let's make something special for him.

He must be tired and hungry.

I was almost done with the dinner.

After some time i heard the sound of car.

I went straight to the main door then i heard the sound of door opening.

The door opened revealing Edison.

I smiled as I don't want him to see my dull face.

As a good wife I greeted him but he only nodded.

He must be tired from all the work.

Is it just my imagination or he is upset.

Did something wrong happened on work.

" How was your day?"

" Fine."

He said without looking at me.

" you look down today."

" I am just tired."

I nodded i can understand.

Sometime work get very tirey.

"you go take a shower and come for dinner. I prepared the dinner."

" you didn't need to."

He said.

" I am your wife Edison so it's my duty. And I don't mind it at all. I like it."

" Fine do it as you want."

Then He went to the bedroom.

I start preparing the dinning table.

When i was done preparing table i went to the bedroom to call Edison for dinner.

I entered in room and see Edison sitting on bed in his nightwear.

I walked toward him but he didn't notice. He was lost deep in his thoughts.

I called his name but he didn't notice me so I shook him by his shoulder he flinched.

He looked at me with a frown.

" what happen? why are you spacing out?"

" ohh nothing just some business problem."

I sat beside him and pat his shoulder.

" it's okay it's alright you can tell me i will help you if it's troubling you so much. "

He immediately stood up and stood straight like he was avoiding my touch.

Or it's my imagination.

" No it's fine I can handle it."

" okay if you think so now let's go downstairs for dinner."

We both walk downstairs while walking downstairs.

Suddenly my foot slipped and I was about to fall.

I was ready to hug the ground but two strong hands hold me tightly from waist preventing me from falling.

It was Edison.

He helped me to stand back.

If he hasn't been here I would have been hugging the floor till now.

" how can you be so careless? You were about to fall. Walk carefully."

He almost yelled at me and I flinched.

"you must be careful in this state. You need to be more careful in your condition. "

I look at him with confused face what state is he talking about. What condition?

"oh sorry i don't mean to yell at you. I am sorry I was just...."

" it's okay don't apologize I should be the one thanking you for saving me and i will be careful from next time."

Then we walked to the dinning table and sat down on chairs facing each other.

He looked down on all the food with a amazed look.

" let's dig in."

Edison and start eating.

" How is it?"

" it's good."

He said without looking at me.

Why is he avoiding eye contact.

But I smiled looking at him eating the food I made.

He really look tired i mean there is something bothering him.

I can tell that but just looking at him

But if he wanted to tell he would have by now.

We don't know each other properly so its usual for him to not tell me yet.

We have a long way to go in this marriage.

We need to form friendship first.

" Anna!?"

He called me and I snapped out of my thoughts.

" yes."

"do you need to tell me something?"

I looked at him confused.

Why is he asking me that? I thought for a minute and looked at him.

" no nothing why? Is there something wrong"

"it just that you can tell if you want to tell me something. You should tell Me if there is something."

He said but why I think that he wants me to tell him something but what.

"if there was something I will tell you."

Edison nodded and continued eating.

What is going on with him?

After some time

I finished washing dishes and went to bedroom but i didn't find him there.

" where is he?"

I searched for him in the house and found him in the guest room sitting on the bed with laptop on his lap.

" what are you doing here?"

"I need to do some work so i will sleep here."

"you can do your work in bedroom also. Why here?"

" I feel more comfortable working here and I will only disturb you while working."

" I don't mind. But if you want to stay here you can. Come anytime you want."

I left from there something strange today about him. He is acting strange . Did I do something wrong?

I don't remember doing anything.

Is he that upset with our marriage.

Well I don't mind him being in the guest room.

I lay down on the bed looking at the ceiling.

This is the opening of my new life.

In morning

I woke up by the sound of my alarm clock.

I see empty bed beside me so he didn't came last night.

I took a shower and got ready for the office.

I walk downstairs and see noone.

I went to the guest room to call him but he wasn't there.

Where is he?

I looked around the room and found his yesterday's clothes on the floor.

I picked them up and placed on the rack.

Did he already leave without telling me.

He didn't even told me that he was leaving.

Is he trying to avoid me?

Nah ! Anna he must have important work.

Edison is not that kind of person.

I went to the kitchen and prepared myself breakfast.

He left without breakfast.

I feel bad.

He should have had breakfast.

I ate my breakfast and drove my car to the company.
