The Lost King I

"Such cold hands." Luna blurted. "Wha— what are you doing, Luna?" He's caught off guard and fluttered. "Take these with you." Luna removed her left earring with a shard-shape hanging, made with Gold and Bronze. "I know it's not that much but I always gave something precious of me as a gift whenever I met a new friend."

"Big sis..." Lura speaks with soft tone. "I dunno if it'll come great with you since it's a girl accessory that it's the accessory which I hold dear. I hope you'll cherish it like how our abrupt our friendship goes." Lucas' eyes softened and accepts the gift that Luna gave. "I will cherish this, just as our friendship." Lucas grasped the earring that Luna gave and there's a moment of silence. "Anyway, I'll be taking my leave now." He turned his back. "Farewell, you two!" And so, Lucas walked away and both siblings waved their hands.

When they both parted their ways, Lucas looked back to where the Lyfrienia Siblings headed. He paused and wondered. "Oh yeah, I forgot to ask about their family or Clan name. But— heh! Never mind, I'll find out sooner." He shrugs and later, his face softened. "May our paths crossed again, kind humans." After that, he made his leave.

Back at the village.....

Both fighters were struck by fatigue and the the battleground looks totally devastated. "I... didn't expect Lunaria would be this strong." He wondered as he pants. "I've never thought she's this formidable. No wonder her feats were praised. She's indeed a Champion that Human kind hailed." He looked at her with a slight blurry vision. "She's not also great at battle but also proficient caster. Is the Lyfrienia Clan always this strong?"

On Lunaria's side, she punched the ground, looking all angry. "Damn it!" She rants. "I've thrown much about everything towards him but— he sure is like a mountain, unlike his father." She wondered. "Is he really the son of that King I've killed ago? His adept in both fighting and casting is top tier, alike to mine."

*tch!* "Did Lian Mark trained that buffoon harder and set me as his learning tool to enact to his selfish son?! Or—" she stared at her sword. "Have I become weak for all those years?" She grabbed the pebble and crushed it with her hand. "Me, a slayer of army, being outwitted by a Selfish King??! This is preposterous!"

Meanwhile....

At the forest, the Lyfrienia Siblings joyfully headed back home but suddenly, Luna felt something odd. "Big sis? Why's a long face? Did Lucas' departure made you sad?" Luna shakes her head. "No, it's not about him. I feel something bad towards the village."

"What do ya mean, big sis?" Lura seemed worried. "I dunno... My heart's pounding fast, I've been sweating abnormally, and I can't explain this feeling." Lura rubs her chin. "This scene seems familiar. Hmm... Oh yeah, I remembered! Back then, you felt something's off and your intuition is right on spot! So, I trust your intuition big sis!" Lura's all cheerful but hearing that Luna's intuition tells about their village, she felt uneasy. "But your guts directing on our village is eerie. We should head back home in haste." Luna nods and quicken their pace.

At the village....

Lunaria try to stood up with her sword, so we Sui. "You! Your fighting skills exceeded than I anticipated! How did your good-for-nothing father taught you well?"

*tch!* "What a stupid question." Sui got up. "He just train me like he usually does, the rest is up to me! And it was all because of you...! You rob me of my childhood, everything from me! You gave me a burden that I was too young to understand. And it was all thanks to you!" Sui's words triggered something from Lunaria. "Don't you dare speak like you, yourself, and your damn kind hasn't created crisis in our Realm, you buffoon!" Lunaria explodes.

"Like you, your kind stole something precious to me, my family! Father, mother, eldest sister, younger brother, and my clan, all because of your damn kind! Your kind is the very reason of our clan's extinction. It's all in you!!!" Lunaria's all wobbly. "Don't act like you were the only victim here, you damn selfish king!"

"Once the Wheel of Hatred begins steering, it'll kept going. " Lunaria raised her sword. "That, I SWORE AN OATH TO WIPE YOUR CLAN'S EXISTENCE, JUST LIKE OURS!!!" Suddenly, Lunaria put all of her remaining power to this single strike. "I'll cleanse this world with your filthy blood, you selfish king!!?"

This angered Sui and, just like Lunaria, he put all his power to this single move. "SHUT UP, YOU MONGREL!!"

Lunaria's sword glows blindingly. ''Last Judgement: Ethereal Sword!"

Just then, Nebulous powered up, engulfing itself with dark power. "Nebulous: Corruption!''

When their swords imbued with power crossed, their power converged and burst up in the skies. The force's great that their attacks are visible to those who're in the forest. Luna and Lura saw the explosion. "We must hurry!" The Lyfrienia Siblings makes haste.

At the village, as their swords clashed, it creates a powerful repulsion that drive the two to be blown at great distance. There, he slammed to a devastated house and a piece of shattered wooden beam pierced through his guts. "What a disgrace to die like this!" He complains as he coughs blood. "Either way, I have meet my end but before that — " Sui used his blood and draw a patterned, later, Roquinito 's appeared. He's going to express his greetings but seeing the pitiful end that Sui met, he quickly get close, expressing his worry. "Your majesty, you're —"

"Nebulous, I grant this infernal to have a temporal permission to wield you, Roquinito's the name, into fulfilling my request of delivering this sword Lucas Licasffia Anherion, my very own flesh and blood." Roquinito checks on him. "Your majesty, I could get Lucas to be in your last moment. Give me a minute and I'll be here, together with your son."

Roquinito discharges his lightning power and about to search for Lucas but Sui grabbed his arm. "No, you mustn't bring him here. No matter the circumstances, he must not see me in this state." Sui pleaded. "But your majesty—!" Roquinito felt bad leaving his Majesty in that dire situation. "Take Nebulous and give it to my son. If he ask about me— tell him I died. I'm sure he's already aware the means why he inherits Nebulous, he's an intelligent kid."

Sui coughs hardly and his blood spilled all over the place. "That kid knows all. But if ever he ask my last words, tell him:"

"Be a great King, greater than your Grandpa, and me."

The near-death Sui lends Nebulous to Roquinito. As King's servant, he's in pain seeing his king die in his eyes but fulfilling his King's orders is a must. "I will, your majesty. Long live the King, Lian Sui Anherion!" Roquinito made his leave and Sui let go of his tough act. He looks up and sees a beautiful skies but his visions blurs and couldn't get a grip of how beautiful the mortal realm looks despite his blurry vision.

"Lucas, my son. How I wished to see you rule the Kingdom but it seems— my life has reached its final journey." Sui coughs and more blood spilled on the ground. "Forgive me, oh my beloved Son, Lucas." In his death's door, a tear drop shed on his infernal eyes and— "Farewell, my son. I can now.... rest assured." Sui's eyelids became heavy that he finally give in. His body disintegrate and all that was left is a crater and noises of insects and birds.

Back at the Village's perimeter, the Lyfrienia sisters areived. "Oh my Nirvana, what happened here?" Lura's horrified but Luna remained calm in amidst of confusion. Suddenly, Luna spot an infernal attacking some citizen, therefore, Luna draws her weapon and slain the creature as swift like lightning.

"It seems the village's attacked by infernal army, lil sis." Luna swings her sword to remove the blood stain. "Huh? After a decade, why now?" Lura's once again surprised but she tended the attacked citizen back to his feet. "The damage is severe but least casualty. We have to find mother immediately and extend our support lil sis."

Lura nods. "Understood, big sis." The sibling's on their way, looking for their mother. But at the vicinity, it seems the impact that blown the Champion, leading her body pierced by a sharp debris and crushed by a huge tree. There, she screamed. "Wait, that scream— mother!!!" Luna, just like her mother, possessed a heightened senses. "Where is she, big sis?"

"Follow me!" Luna followed where the scream came from and there, they saw their mother in a terrible state. "MOTHER!!??" They draws near but some infernals spotted Lunaria and wanted to take her as their own. Enraged, Luna's sword glows and— "Get the hellfire here you abominations!!!!" Luna slashed them in 1000 pieces, turning them into a sludge of blood then disintegrate in thin air.

The sisters are in shock, seeing their mother in a worse state. "Mother!" They shout. "Don't worry mother, big sis and I will remove this big chunk of tree! Big sis?!" They worked together to removed the tree that crushed their mother but it seems Lunaria's case is severe. She lost too much blood and some of her guts spilled out. The siblings can't help but horrified.

"No, no! I won't allow this!?" Luna insisted. "Lil sis, let's perform the healing power to mother and heal her!" They're going to cast a healing spell on their devastated mother but— "Your efforts are futile." Lunaria speaks with a weak voice. "I... cannot be— *coughing* healed."

"Mother don't you dare give up on us!" Luna demands. "We can still—" she refused to give up saving their mother but seeing the terrible state she's in, Luna's shrouded in despair. Seeing Luna's slight despaired expression made Lunaria laugh, by doing so, more blood spilled. "Mother, don't laugh!" Lura's crying as she desperately healed her wound. "Save your stamina, you two. I don't think I'll live longer, so listen to what I'm going to say."

"Speak mother! We'll listen!" The siblings replied in synchronized tone. "I want to.... apologize. I've been teaching you lots! Especially not being reckless in battle but it seems I.... your mentor, wasn't even administering what I've taught you in my... recent battle."

"Wha— what do you mean by that?" Lura looks confused. "The Void King and I has been fighting... for almost 2 decades. But those battles, I let that damn infernal escape. It's not like I was caught off guard, if I truly want to kill him, I would've done it before since I can but— because of my reckless actions, that allowed him... to have a successor." Lunaria's coughing and her life slowly depleting.

"Enough mother! You can share.your stories later once we've healed you! My magical power excelled than you, I'm sure, with lil sis with me, we can heal you in no time!" Luna insisted and is about to cast a healing spell but Lunaria gripped her wrist, cancelling her ability to cast a spell temporary.

"A Silence spell?! Mother, please don't do this to me!!! We wanna save you!" Luna started crying and Lunaria looked at Lura, and she, too, hold her wrist and remove her hand, indicating to halt the healing process. "My demise, is the aftermath of my recklessness. The Void King that I've slain before, his Will manifested on his son."

"Son? He's the one leading the infernals from Void Realm?!" Lura's surprised. "His accursed offspring is stronger than he was. Thankfully, I was able to beat his son and finally, Humanity will have its long-awaited peace. But not for long, but it should be enough to turn you two into formidable force to be reckoned with." As Lunaria speaks, her eyes darkened.

"Luna, Lura... My dear beloved daughters, protect the Mortal Realm and destroy any infernals that threatened our realm." She raised both of her arms and gives them her blessings in a form of brilliance. "Do not let yourself engage those detestable infernal affairs. They must be cleansed, no matter what."

After extending her blessings, Lunaria shed a tear drop on her right eye and passed away. Luna and Lura screamed as they grieve for their mother's death. When the area is safe, the villagers gathered around the Lyfrienia Family and extend their farewell.

Many years later....

In an agricultural field, there's a beautiful woman dressing in farmer's attire, working under the heat. She looks up, all exhausted and sweaty. Suddenly, an elderly woman came by. "Lady Luna, don't overdo yourself! You'll collapse if you continue!" Luna removed her hat and smiled. "I will!" It seemed that Luna is now a full fledge woman and she became to look more alike her deceased mother, Lunaria.

But her hair straight hair slowly turned wavy over the coarse of year. Just then— "Big sis! Here's a spring water! It's chilled!" Luna looked where that voice came and— "Great timing as always Lil' sis!" Lura, like her sister, she, too became a full fledge woman. Lura's straight hair is retained, so as her bangs, but the woman has a long hair now.

Lura lend the water and Luna drinks it. "So refreshing! You're the best Lura!" Lura smiled. Just then, the elderly woman sees the two of them. "You two, you've grown into such fine ladies!" She expressed. "Especially you, Luna! You've really inherited your mother's look!" Luna tugged her hair. "Really? Thanks!" And she's a bit shy when people starts complimenting her.

"Anyway you two, you've did great! I'm taking my leave now, may the Celestial Plane bless you two." They waved their hands and they're left in the field.

At night...

The village is raided by infernals and the Lyfrienia Siblings used their power to equip their battle dress without needing to do manual dressing. The color scheme of their battle dress works alike to their mother's, Gold, Bronze, and Red. They operated independently and solved the impending threat swiftly.

At Lura's location, an infernal slayer teams congratulate her. "Great job as ever, Lady Lura! Your splendid weaponry skills never ceased to amaze us!" The team leader complimented.
