The hivemind is conquering for me?

"Oh I so needed all this stuff. What a day! Janine, you are the best!" Talia walked into the club with one bag in each hand, followed by Janine who's entire arms were loaded with bags and a clear look of annoyance on her face.

"Yeah, tell that to my cred chip..." She had spent more today than the last five months combined. Twelve hours of hell. Going from shop to shop, mild discrimination for being Sepiidan in some places, excessive ogling in others. Janine had enough within the first thirty minutes, making the rest of the time even more excruciating hell.

Talia looked back at Janine and smiled. "Buying clothes and jewellery is the best pleasure in life, how can you say otherwise? You are just a cranky pants. Come on, let's take these upstairs and try them all on again!"

Talia then handed the bags in her hands over to Janine and ran off excitedly. Janine grumbled something incomprehensible and began walking, not stopping her grumbling until she released all the bags she was holding down onto her couch.

Looking down at the large pile of 'shit' in front of her, Janine couldn't help shaking her head. "Talia, this is more clothes and accessories than I have had cumulatively my whole life. There is just way too much stuff here."

Talia looked up from the bag she was scrounging through and gazed upon Janine with a stone cold look. "That might be the single most saddest thing I have ever heard in my life." Her gaze then lingered on Janine for a few more seconds before the pull of the shopping averted her gaze back to all the bags.

Janine watched for a moment, feeling slightly judged by her friend before walking over to one of the bags she had been carrying around. Picking it up, she looked inside and asked. "Ok, so what dress should I wear when I tell him? Talia."

Talia was looking at a beautiful ring she had bought like it was her precious before snapping to a few seconds later. "What? Dress? Oh. No, I can't tell you that, babes. This is coming from your heart, the dress has to match that. *Gasp* Do you know what this means!!!"

Janine groaned. "Not again...

Several hours later, Janine wished she had died on Alexandria after trying on dress after dress after dress. Talia's bottomless excitement after each dress did not help her mood. Her quota for 'girly things' had already filled up before she left the apartment this morning.

Just when she was about to call it quits and go watch a movie instead of continuing this torture, she heard a gasp. Talia's eyes were glimmering with her hands over her mouth. "What?" Janine asked as she looked at the newest dress she put on.

Talia said nothing, keeping her hands above her mouth, but indicated to Janine to look into the mirror. Janine looked at Talia curiously as she wrapped the belt around her waist before walking towards the mirror.

The moment she saw her reflection she gasped and asked aloud. "What has happened to me?"

After getting out of the shower, I rotated my shoulder to check everything was ok in the healing factor. Orchid has been taking her training up a few pegs lately and I have been getting hurt a lot more.

She had dug one of her swords into my shoulder after I made a mistake and the serration always caused quite a bit of damage to the flesh that required a few hours in the nest pod to heal. I would probably have to take the next couple of days off after today, but I can always train my Psionic power so it's worth going all in during combat training.

After drying myself off with my Thermokinesis, I wrapped a towel around my waist and made my way downstairs. In the living room, Onyx, subverting my expectations, had left my Mindspace to watch her show as it was the series finale and she was not missing it!

She was in her Humanoid form and sat next to her was Sophia in her second form, hooves up on the couch munching on something in a bag. I walked up, purposely ignoring those Ho... I couldn't even pretend to not think about them, they just hit the primal itch in my brain.

Walking up to my sexy hooved Bio cult infiltrator, I asked. "What are you munching on?" Sophia looked at me cursory before looking back to the table and showed me the bag. "Uraps?"

She then picked up one of the little hermit crabs and threw it into her mouth. "You said the queen was farming them, they have to be good right? Their shells are really nice, but their teeth kept on hurting my humanoid form, so I had to switch over. There is food in the dining room for you."

She then shooed me away with a hand gesture, shocking me. I then turned to the culprit of Sophia's change, causing me to frown. "I was contemplating letting you off, hence why I didn't spank you after breakfast. Now it's happening. Now it's a fixed moment in time." I left the words hanging in the air, causing Onyx to look at me before sighing dejectedly.

She thought she had gotten away with it, but it looked like she dug her own grave inviting Sophia to begin watching with her a few months ago. Still, she would take her punishment and pretend she disliked it later, It wasn't the stick after all, a spanking from her universe would feel good, she was looking forward to- "*GASP! Rebecca no! You gigantic slut!" She screamed at the TV, getting lost in her show again.

As I sat down at the dining room table in front of a variety of foods, I began salivating. As I picked up a big thick juicy sausage and was about to put it into my mouth, Someone barged into the room yelling "Apollo!"

Turning to the voice, Talia was running at me with a frantic look on her face. "Talia? What's wrong?" I asked confused as she ran to my side and hugged my arm, pulling me up from the chair. "Something has happened to Janine! Her Psionic power has gone crazy! You need to help her! I think she is going to die!"

I stood up immediately, picking up Talia like a sack of potatoes and ran to the elevator. Once it descended and opened to Janine's apartment, I sprinted in only to find the woman sitting on her couch looking ethereally beautiful.

She was wearing a simplistic white dress with a waist belt that had three blue gems. However, what struck me by surprise was that Janine's darker skin tone had become a few shades lighter and her hair had turned white.

I didn't have time to admire her however as I ran over and began checking her body. "Janine, are you ok? Are you hurt? Where are you hurting? What has gone wrong? Janine answer me!"

I was panicked for a moment, before noticing the confusion in Janine's eyes at my question. She then turned away from me and towards Talia who I dropped by the door as she asked. "Did you tell him I was dying? The fuck is wrong with you?"

Talia was flabbergasted by how calm Janine was. "Y-your hair! your skin! You are turning old! Dying in front of my very eyes! My sister! You can't die yet!" Talia's eyes began watering as she fell onto her knees causing Janine to shake her head.

"I told you to get Apollo to see what is happening to me, I am not dying you dumbass! My Psionics are just acting up in a way I don't understand and I did not want to move more than I had to before I knew what's wrong."

"So you are ok?" I asked, causing Janine to look back to me with a warm smile on her face. "Well, I feel fine. I'm a bit surprised my skin and hair has changed colour abruptly, but I am fine. Oof!"

I then picked up Janine and brought her into a bear hug. "Oh goodness, I was so worried for a second! Thank the stars you are alright." Janine, feeling safe in Apollo's arms, hugged back tightly. She held close to him for a few moments before realising something.

"Um, Apollo?" She said, causing me to ask while still hugging her. "What is it?" Janine gulped as she attempted to break the hug. "Are you, uhh naked right now?"

In my panic to make it to Janine on time, I must have forgotten to hold onto my towel. I had not even realised I had lost my only item of 'clothing' and was now naked holding my best friend in a hug.

I then looked to my right and spotted Talia drooling, not even bothering to wipe the long strand away, she looked transfixed towards me, causing me to smile. I then hugged Janine tighter to playfully tease her, as I said.

"Yes. Yes I am."
