THE GREATEST ALCHEMIST OF HOGWARTS

Chapter 5: [ Chapter II (2): "HOGWASH SCHOOL OF WHAT?" ]

[ Chapter II (2): "HOGWASH SCHOOL OF WHAT?" ]

ARE POORLY WRITTEN BOOKS, COMBASTIBLE? That is a question Felix have been asking himself for what felt like eternity. No answer so far.

So when a man asked him if anything magical happened as of lately, like it's a normal thing. Felix would of course fire back with a very absurd out of the normal answer, that one would immediately find — either amusing, or... Worried.

Amusing in the case of Mr. Horace Slughorn who's genuinely happy in hearing that short funny story, and worried in the case of the legendary Matron Miranda.

Seeing the ear-to-ear smile the balding man is giving him, Felix became curious. What is wrong with you? [ "You find my story, funny?" ] Raising one of his eyebrows up, he asked.

[ "No, merlin's beard, no..." ] Merlin's beard? Do you not want to curse in front of a kid, old man, that's why you are trying to find friendly sounding alternatives? Most definitely.

Felix looked at the man pulling out a slight crumbled envelope inside of his suit, pausing slightly as to structure his sentence properly — at the very least, worried about grammar, so unlike the others Felix knows of. Like children per say. He hates children.

But enough about his hate on children, let's refocus on the main show. Mr. Horace Slughorn hands him the envelope, looking at it closely he noticed that his exact address — and specific room that being the 2nd floor, furthest right side, could be seen also etched on the front of the envelope.

Curiously he began to open it, all the while the man continues to speak: [ "You see, there is a perfectly reasonable explanation why such a phenomenon happened to you, do you want to know why?" ]

Ye-... No, I'm good. That's what Felix wanted to say at that face of the smiling old man, but something inside him, a nagging feeling kept saying to him, to answer with a straight affirmative; [ "Yes." ]

[ "Very good." ] He continued, [ "Gifted individuals with affinity to the mystic arts of the world can do very special things." ] Special things?

[ "They can teleport from one place to another with enough training, or under strict emotional distress. Turn water into wine, and wine into water." ]

[ "Conjure birds out of thin air, breath flames. Fly in the sky through many means — they can live for hundreds of years, some through the help of the unknown even lived up to thousands." ]

The man began to explain one by one, all sounding like hocus pocus to Felix. But yet, in a weird sense, he felt closeness in it, affection — his rational side wants to deny, and outright rebuke this man using literature.

But the other part of his mind, the wild, irrational, and free-spirited kind didn't do so. It at the very least of the moment had doubt with what the man said, and didn't outright rebuke him.

Seeing the hesitation in his eyes, the kneeling man frown slightly, [ "You think I'm crazy do you?" ] Felix didn't want to reply, the possibility of saying yes is immense at that moment — and he doesn't want to hurt the man's feelings, if that man was a child though, he would have without a single trace of doubt. But no, he isn't a child.

[ "Alright then, it's better to see it for yourself then." ] Pulling out a stick from the inside of his suit, Mr. Slughorn then in front of the bewildered gaze of Felix began to levitate everything in the room excluding him, Mr. Slughorn himself, and the Matron who isn't surprised one bit — but is keenly paying attention.

Weird. What the hell kind of party trick is this?! Felix doesn't know, and he sure knows that this is beyond science, as he releases his grip from the envelope on his hand — causing the thing to levitate slightly, bit by bit rising which was stopped by Felix dragging it back. Not feeling any weight from it.

Widening his eyes, Felix looked around the room. Noticing his books, table, chair, bed, and shelf itself levitating. The room outside not doing the same, thankfully, or his reality would have shattered — not saying that it hadn't been shattered already.

[ "This... This doesn't make sense." ] Felix in amazement kept his stoic demeanor, his lips slightly parting as he feels the weight on the envelope he is holding, which is none. [ "This is beyond reason... This is not normal." ]

Feeling the feathery feeling of the supposed slightly weighted envelope made both Felix and the Matron who have experienced this earlier, and was explained on the reason on why still made her curious as she stares at the seemingly zero-gravity room.

[ "Perhaps this is not normal, but is instead magic my dear friend." ] Pushing one book that levitated in front of his face, Slughorn looked carefully at the dazed, yet slightly curled smile on the boy's face — noticeable only to those who have years and years of experience relating to reading body language. One which Mr. Horace Slughorn is.

[ "Take a seat, open the letter. Perhaps the answer you are looking for is there." ] Looking around the room, with his arms behind his back Mr. Slughorn sat by the only chair inside the room and grabbed a book nearby that piqued his interest; one relating to philosophy.

[ "Don't mind me, don't mind us." ] Felix looks at the symbol etched on the reddish-wax of the envelope, of the H being surrounded by animals which he could make out to be a lion, snake, badger, and finally a bird similar to an eagle.

Touching it Felix felt oddly calm, on the side Mr. Slughorn the wizard, and the Matron could be seen having tea — pulled from christ knows where. Looking at it, he became curious; [ "Take your time." ] But not enough for his attention to be pulled from snapping the wax gently in half.

Seeing Mr. Slughorn show sparking lights from the tip of his fingertips to the old Matron, from his peripheral — Felix slightly became interested to that for a second, but he continued on, pulling a yellowed out of the envelope; a two-parter, with the first one gaining the attention of him solely.

This is too much to take in for a not-so-simple apparently magical gifted child like Felix, as he slumps down on the bedside of his nearby, looking carefully at the letter in his hand. Confused genuinely at the titles of the Headmaster.

What the bloody hell is a 'Supreme Mugwump' supposed to be. A word that he heard for the first time since today, what the hell?!

Felix slightly scratches his head as he looks at the fatman who's seemingly chatting with the Matron, calming her down, then back at the letter on his hand as he re-read it carefully.

What the hell is Hogwas- no, Hog-warts. What the hell is that kind of school... A boarding school? In another world? Or hidden in the sky? Felix doesn't know but he continued on reading and his thoughts became clearer by the moment, his rapidly beating heart slowly lowering as he stabilizes. Turning to the second-part of the letter, Felix began to read it.

Weird terminology once again entered the insides of Felix's brain, and he has a great suspicion that it'll stay. Especially the names that sounds both comical, but weirdly plausible for the naming convention of another world.

But most of it all, what worried Felix is that; [ "How can I purchase all of these stuff?" ] How the hell am I gonna be able to buy all of this stuff.
